This is one of these nights where Spurs will have to stay patient. Keep getting the ball in and around the box and wait for the chance to come.

First real chance of the evening for Rangers and it falls to Cyriel Dessers. James Tavernier whipped in a lovely free-kick but Dessers can't guide his header on target.

Re; Richard, 20.08 - is referencing net spend over last 5 years, ignoring this includes over 200m of players who have left due to the recruitment being terrible. Any spurs fan can see the squad needed players before injury crisis.

Spurs very much not looking like a side who are struggling for points in the league.

As things stand they remain sixth in the table. But it's early days of course and plenty of time for them to be leapfrogged.

    FCSB 0-0 Man Utd

    Paul Robinson

Lisandro Martinez shows his quality with the ball at his feet.

Kobbie Mainoo goes on the left-hand-side and he timed his run with perfection.

I have been impressed with the way Man Utd have started.

Good move from United. Kobbie Mainoo runs in behind, flicks the ball inside a defender and shoots from a tight angle, it's half-blocked by a defender and saved by the keeper.

The story of Tottenham so far is that there is some really good approach work, from the left side and right, some nice passing, but the last pass is missing.

Lovely little one-two down the left-hand side between Son Heung-Min and Ben Davies but the final pass is blocked and Spurs win a corner.

It's a good delivery but Sebastian Holmen makes the block.

Ousseynou Niang makes a great run forward into the Rangers box but as he's about to let fly, Leon King puts in a tremendous challenge. After being involved in an early aerial challenge, he points to his eyes like he's struggling to see clearly as Rangers ready a substitute.

Ricardo Horta has given Braga an early goal against league phase leaders Lazio.

How crucial could that effort be? The Portuguese side are up to 24th in the standings occupying the last spot for the knockout play-offs.

Robbie Keane's Ferencvaros side have also scored early against AZ Alkmaar, which means they are up to 15th for now, at least.
