    Port Vale 0-1 Barrow

One of the Vale substitutes comes close to a leveller.

Lorent Tolaj lashes in a free-kick and Barrow goalkeeper Paul Farman does just enough to keep the ball out.

There's some noise around Vale Park now.

Brilliant response in this first half. Calamitous goal to concede but they're right back in it. Brunton Park is right behind Carlisle.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 2-2 MK Dons

And breathe. What a half of football we've just seen.

Joe Tomlinson put MK Dons ahead after just six minutes, slotting home at the back post before Michael Dennis headed Carlisle level against his former side.

A moment to forget for Cumbrians defender Archie Davies with a mishit backpass allowed Alex Gilbey to restore the lead for the visitors.

But Kadeem Harris drilled the hosts level shortly before the break and Carlisle's potential great escape is still on.

All square again and what a game this is!!!

Terell Thomas' shot is deflected into the path of Kadeem Harris at the far post and he makes no mistake, hammering home on the angle to bring Carlisle level.

The Cumbrians are not going down without a big fight in League Two.

  8. Postpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

Kadeem Harris cuts in from the right for Carlisle and floats it to the back post towards Jordan Jones but he can't quite get on the end of it and it drifts out for a goal kick.

  9. 'Carlisle are still in the game'published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

    James Phillips
    BBC Radio Cumbria Sport commentator

Carlisle are showing the endeavour again. They'll be devastated at the way they've given away the [second] goal here.

But they're still in the game.

  10. INJURY TIMEpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

Five minutes added on at the end of the first half. There have been a fair few stoppages for treatment in the opening period.

  11. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

Jordan Jones has a chance to get a shot away inside the box for Carlisle but he drags it and it's blocked by the MK Dons backline.

The Cumbrians are looking to work their way back into this again.

  12. 'Davies can still make a difference'published at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

    Chris Lumsdon
Former Carlisle midfielder on BBC Radio Cumbria

He should still be confident Davies. He's been a bright spark. The goal was an awful moment but he can still make a difference in this game.

  13. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

Only Newport (62) and Morecambe (57) have conceded more goals than Carlisle in League Two so far this season (56).

That may go some way to explaining why they find themselves in such a predicament right now.

  14. 'Push Garrity further forward'published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    HT: Port Vale 0-1 Barrow

    Adam Yates
Former Vale defender on BBC Radio Stoke

If it was me as the manager I would go with two up front and three in midfield.

I would also push Ben Garrity further forward.

A few of the team need a rocket - it's almost as if the team have turned up and expected to win but Barrow have been very good and the better side.

The crowd are starting to turn so they need to find a way to change the momentum, maybe change shape, maybe personnel.

  15. 'An absolute catastrophe'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-2 MK Dons

    James Phillips
    BBC Radio Cumbria Sport commentator

What a way to give it away after getting back into the game. An absolute horror moment for Davies.

    It's an absolute catastrophe.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Port Vale 0-1 Barrow

Barrow manager Andy Whing with his arms outstretchedImage source, Rex Features

Barrow have not read the script.

The visitors have been well on top in a game which has produced few chances.

Ben Jackson's shot after Port Vale failed to clear a corner properly is what separates the sides.

Barrow have the second worst away record in the division but are looking to make it four unbeaten on the road and record a first EFL double over Vale.

The home side can go third tonight but they need at least a point and on the evidence of that first 45 they need to step things up several notches.

There were boos as the home players headed for the tunnel.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Port Vale 0-1 Barrow

Kian Spence has been down twice for Barrow and he can't carry on.

    MJ Williams replaces him.

We've had seven minutes of time added on now - we only had three shown on the board.

  18. goal

GOAL: Carlisle 1-2 MK Donspublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Alex Gilbey (37 mins)

Oh dear... Carlisle defender Archie Davies will not want to watch this back.

A ball is flicked over the top and Davies appears to have it under control but completely mishits the backpass.

It allows Alex Gilbey to go clean through and he calmly rounds the keeper before slotting into an empty net to restore the MK Dons lead.

  19. OFF THE LINE!published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

    Carlisle 1-1 MK Dons

Wow, MK Dons should be ahead...

Carlisle keeper Gabriel Breeze spills a shot from Dan Crowley and it drops to Alex Gilbey about seven yards out, but his side-footed effort is blocked on the line by Archie Davies.

Either side of the Cumbrians' defender and the visitors would've regained the lead.

  20. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March

We are into three minutes of time added on.
