Watford are marking 50 years since Elton John first took over as chairman today.

The singer wont be too impressed with what's he's seen thus far, he'd probably like to see some more fight from his side this Saturday.

  2. 'Blues are playing the way they want to'published at 16:11 BST

    Stoke 1-0 Birmingham

    Daz Hale
    BBC WM

    Blues have started well.

They've set the tempo at the start of this second half, we talk about that control, Stoke had it in the first half, but at the moment, it's Blues that are playing the way they want to.

  3. Postpublished at 16:10 BST

    Swansea 1-1 Hull City

Fine save from home goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux from Joe Gelhardt's header as the away side look to turn this around.

  4. Postpublished at 16:08 BST

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

Mikey Johnston has an early effort blocked for West Brom and from the ensuing corner an almighty scramble ends with Derby hammering the ball away.

  5. goal

GOAL: Watford 0-1 Blackburnpublished at 16:07 BST

    Ryoya Morishita (47 mins)

And there is that Blackburn opener!

Japanese midfielder Ryoya Morishita has his first goal for Rovers since joining from Legia Warsaw.

He finishes clinically after being teed up by compatriot Yuki Ohashi.

I think it will be a real treat following West Brom this season.

Tom Fellows may be gone but Isaac Price is so slick on and off the ball, and moves across the park so gracefully. Mix in Mikey Johnston's silky skill and there will be plenty to enjoy. It still feels like they could do with an old fashioned centre-forward to knock in the goals.

The hope will be that Aune Heggebo can be just that - but he was pretty quiet in a first 45 the Baggies utterly dominated.

Ryan Hedges sees a shot blocked as the away side press for an opener in the first few minutes of the second half.

  9. 'Blues have been limited'published at 16:02 BST

    HT: Stoke 1-0 Birmingham

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Blues have been limited just one proper chance and one half chance for Jay Stansfield, off the back of the Leicester defeat, it's a reminder that this is a tough division.

They trail to a very good Mark Robins' Stoke side.

Tommy Doyle needs to get involved as a ten a little bit more, they're struggling in the middle, Rigo in particular for Stoke has been really good.

This game sprung into life late in the first period, with Zan Vipotnik drilling the home side in front only for one of his predecessors in Swansea's attack, Oli McBurnie, to slide in the equaliser.

Vipotnik's finish was clinical, the Slovenian driving a low shot into the corner of the net to make it four goals in his past four Swansea games.

But the home crowd were not celebrating for long, with McBurnie guiding home at the near post from Ryan Giles' perfect cross.

McBurnie, a huge favourite in these parts when he played for Swansea, made a point of not celebrating.

It's all to play for in the second half.

  11. 'They've been ruthless'published at 15:56 BST

HT: Sheffield Wednesday 0-3 Bristol City

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

It's not often that you're going to come off with a three-goal cushion at half time.

They've been ruthless, but I wouldn't say they've been slick.

There's plenty of players that haven't really been involved in the game, I'm thinking Sykes and McCrorie on the left, they've got more to give.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 BST

    Sheff Wed 0-3 Bristol City

    Emil RiisImage source, Rex Features

Three and easy for the free-scoring Robins.

An own goal from home debutant Harry Amass and strikes from Emil Riis and Anis Mehmeti have the away side in total control.

Sheffield Wednesday's winless start to the Championship season looks odds on to continue.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 BST

    Coventry 0-1 Norwich

An entertaining first-half comes to an end and Norwich will have their half-time cup of tea one goal in front.

Coventry, free-scoring up to today, have had 17 attempts on target but, rather unbelievably, are yet to test Canaries keeper Vladen Kovacevic, who was booked just before the break for time-wasting.

Norwich unpicked the Coventry defence in the 17th minute when Croat Jakov Medic found Danish forward Mathias Kvistgaarden whose excellent left-footed drive found the bottom corner and give the visitors a lead at the break.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 BST

    Swansea 1-1 Hull City

It looked like we'd go in all-square at the break after a quiet opening 39 minutes or so.

And then Zan Vipotnik popped up to open the scoring for the home side only for Oli McBurnie to quickly level for the Tigers.

So... We do go in all-square at the break.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 BST

    Wrexham 0-2 QPR

And Richard Kone's goal was the last meaningful act of the half - following a slow start, the visitors have held much the greater goal threat and go into the break two clear.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 BST

    Watford 0-0 Blackburn

Jeremy Petris of Watford is challenged by Todd Cantwell of Blackburn RoversImage source, Rex Features

Few openings for both sides, with perhaps the best going the way of the visitors, but it's 0-0 at the break.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 BST

    Stoke 1-0 Birmingham

Stoke goalscorer Bosun LawalImage source, Getty Images

Stoke deservedly in front at the break.

Bosun Lawal's first goal in a Stoke shirt separates the sides as he headed home from a Sorba Thomas corner.

Thomas has also hit the post while Birmingham have managed a solitary shot on goal with Lawal blocking Jay Stansfield's effort.

  18. 'Gray has come into the centre'published at 15:48 BST

    Stoke 1-0 Birmingham

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The last five minutes or so Demarai Gray has come into the centre a couple of times.

He was hugging the touchline early on but he's coming and looking for it now, which will be good for Blues.

Blues have shown a little bit more in the last few minutes.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 BST

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

Action between West Brom and DerbyImage source, Getty Images

Hmmmm, West Brom's 125th anniversary party at the Hawthorns and we're still waiting for the really good guests to arrive and liven things up.

Isaac Price has forced a save out of Derby goalkeeper Jacob Widdell Zetterstrom while also hitting the top of the netting.

Chris Mepham and Nat Phillips have both had headers off target while for Derby we've only seen a header from Ben Brereton Diaz drift wide.

  20. goal

GOAL: Swansea 1-1 Hull Citypublished at 15:47 BST

    Oli McBurnie (45 mins)

    Against his former side!

Oli McBurnie converts Ryan Giles' cross for his third goal of the season.
