  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:08 British Summer Time 5 April

    Bristol City 0-0 Watford

The Hornets have made a bright start with Kwadwo Baah looking lively, but after beating Cam Pring out wide his low cross-shot from an angle is well held by Robins keeper Max O'Leary.

  2. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 5 April

    Swansea 0-0 Derby

As you might expect after four straight wins, Derby have begun brightly, with a Craig Forsyth long throw into the box and an Ebou Adams cross having to be cleared by Swans defender Harry Darling.

  3. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 5 April

    Oxford 0-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United start the game in second place after Burnley's win at Coventry in one of the early games.

A win for the Blades will send them back to the top of the table and, crucially, four points clear of third-placed Leeds.

Struggling Oxford are in need of points for a very different reason.

We've had plenty of drama in the early games, time to see what's in store for us in the 15:00 kick-offs.

    We are off and running...

There’s only one topic of conversation in the stands here and it all surrounds the owner Dejphon Chansiri.

It’s been a stressful week for the club, starting with the news on Monday that the players’ wages for March hadn’t been paid. Then yesterday Chansiri told the local paper The Star that the club are at risk of a three-window transfer embargo if wage commitments aren’t fulfilled by Monday.

And today the Sheffield Wednesday supporters trust called on him to step aside.

So it’ll be interesting to see what reaction there is in the stands during the game because on the one hand there’s huge anger towards the owner but on the other hand huge affection and respect for the manager and the players.

Plus today is a must win to get Wednesday back into the play-off chase after three home defeats in a row.

  6. Owls welcome distraction of visit from Tigerspublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 5 April

Sheff Wed v Hull City (15:00 BST)

Not for the first time in recent years Sheffield Wednesday fans will welcome the distraction of an actual football match.

News broke in the week that the club's players and staff had not been paid their wages on time and fan groups have been united in calling for owner Dejphon Chansiri to leave.

A win against struggling Hull City would keep them in with a chance of securing a top-six spot but I doubt many Wednesdayites making their way to Hillsborough this afternoon are thinking about a promotion push now.

The Tigers will look to make the most of the turmoil in S6 to pick up vital points as they try to climb away from trouble at the bottom of the table.

  7. Preston and Potters still have work to dopublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 5 April

    Preston v Stoke (15:00 BST)

Preston manager Paul HeckingbottomImage source, Rex Features

It's not been a great week for injury-hit Preston.

Their long unbeaten home record came to an end on Sunday when Premier League Aston Villa beat them 3-0 in the FA Cup quarter final and a 2-0 defeat at improving Derby on Wednesday wont have lifted Lancashire spirits any.

Paul Heckingbottom's side are eight places and seven points clear of trouble but a defeat today coupled with other results elsewhere might leave them looking over their shoulders with a little more concern.

Visitors Stoke are certainly too close for comfort to the relegation zone.

The Potters are two points clear of the bottom three and have lost each of their past four away matches.

  8. Hornets and Robins aim to stay in the racepublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 5 April

Bristol City v Watford (15:00 BST)

Bristol City head coach Liam ManningImage source, Rex Features

Watford head to Bristol City this afternoon for a game which looks pivotal to both side's hopes in the play-off race.

Liam Manning's men sit eighth and can move into the top six with victory following Coventry and West Brom's earlier defeats.

A win would take the Robins seven points clear of the ninth-placed Hornets with six games remaining, but defeat would close the gap to just a point in a congested battle for the two final play-off spots.

City don't have the best record against Watford, winning just two of their past 11 encounters, none at home in more than 12 years and the Hornets could complete their first league double over the Robins since 1999 with a win today.

The Robins are a different prospect at Ashton Gate, however, winning seven of their past nine at home and taking 22 points from a possible 27 in total.

I would say perfect football conditions.

  10. Pompey enter Lions' Den aiming for survivalpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 5 April

    Millwall v Portsmouth (15:00 BST)

Portsmouth manager John MousinhoImage source, Rex Features

Portsmouth will seek to end their away-day blues and boost their survival chances when they head to Millwall this afternoon.

John Mousinho's men have won just two of their 19 games on the road this season, collecting just 10 away points in total, though one of those wins did come in London against QPR.

Pompey lie 17th and only five points ahead of the drop-zone after Derby's win over Preston on Wednesday night but in this typically topsy-turvy division Portsmouth have taken more points against the Championship's top three (6) than the bottom three (4).

The Lions are four places and six points ahead of their visitors and a home win could take Alex Neil's side back into the top-10 and potentially within five points of the play-off places, depending on other results.

This fixture has ended 1-0 to Millwall in their past three encounters but the Lions have never won four straight against the Blues and since 11 February, only Burnley, Sheffield United and Coventry have picked up more points than Pompey (15 from their past eight games).

  11. Both sides need a win as Plymouth host Norwichpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 5 April

    Plymouth v Norwich (15:00 BST)

    Adam RandellImage source, Rex Features

Plymouth host Norwich at Home Park knowing time is running out in their battle against Championship relegation.

A credible performance and draw at Watford last week wasn't enough despite an impressive performance in spells. They are currently seven points adrift of Hull in 21st, rooted to the bottom with just one win in seven.

Argyle may just provide the perfect opposition for Norwich to rescue their dwindling play-off hopes. A big win over West Brom last week ended a run of two straight defeats and four without a win.

The Canaries are now seven points off the play-off pace, so both sides really need a win here

  12. Cardiff's poor form in the capitalpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 5 April

    QPR v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

    Charlotte Richardson
    Final Score at Loftus Road

Bright blue skies surround Loftus Road ahead of a huge six pointer. Seven places and five points separate these teams. The Championship relegation battle is fierce and open.

QPR welcome Captain Sam Field among four changes. Cardiff with two as we countdown to kick-off.

The Hoops without a win in six could do with capitalising upon Cardiff’s poor form in London. Just four wins in 41 trips - victory today could move the visitors out the bottom three.

  13. QPR head to Cardiff looking over their shoulderspublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 5 April

    QPR v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

Queens Park Rangers must have thought they were closing in on safety a few weeks ago, but a terrible run of recent form has thrust them into the heat of the relegation battle as they travel to Cardiff.

The Bluebirds currently occupy the final relegation spot but would go just two points behind Rangers with a win.

Marti Cifuentes' side have lost five of their last six and were well beaten by another struggling side, Stoke, last week.

Cardiff, meanwhile, stopped a run of four defeats with a win at Blackburn before the international break and backed that up with a draw against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

  14. Resurgent Rams seek to drag Swans into dangerpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 5 April

    Swansea v Derby (15:00 BST)

Derby manager John EustaceImage source, Rex Features

    Big one, this.

With nine teams separated by just seven points in the scrap for survival, Swansea will be seeking to avoid being dragged into the mire as they host in-form Derby.

Four straight wins under John Eustace have lifted the Rams out of the drop-zone, with Cardiff slipping below the dotted line after County's 2-0 win over Preston on Wednesday night.

The Swans have taken just one point from their past three games and though they are 16th ahead of kick-off, could find themselves just a couple of points above the drop-zone tonight, should they lose and other results go against them.

Alan Sheehan's side have suffered defeat in four of their past six at home, but have beaten Derby on their past two visits and after their 2-1 win at Pride Park in November, could complete their first double over the Rams since 2009/10.

    It’s a lovely day for a bike ride, but a 152-mile one?

That’s what Sheffield United fan James Kemp has done to be here for this game against Oxford United.

He arrived about an hour ago. The self-titled Blade on a Bike is riding to every away game to raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

His next ride will be the small matter of 286 miles from Sheffield to Plymouth.

Oxford v Sheff Utd (15:00 BST)

Chris Wilder, pictured in 2013, during his days as Oxford managerImage source, Getty Images

Oxford's journey back up the leagues was kick-started by the man in the opposing dugout this afternoon.

Chris Wilder led the U's out of the National League back in 2010 but they might not be too happy to see him today.

A run of one win in 11 matches has seen Gary Rowett's men slide back down the league so they could probably do without a visit from the promotion-chasing Blades.

The South Yorkshire side have won their past six games away from home and another win today would set a new club record.

Burnley are sitting pretty at the summit while Leeds fall out of the automatic promotion places after a run of just one win from their last six games.

Sheffield United can, of course, reclaim top spot should they win at Oxford but this thrilling promotion race continues, and is likely to do so all the way up to the first weekend in May.

Meanwhile, West Brom have failed to get themselves back into the top six and Bristol City can replace Coventry in sixth, or even move into fifth, should they manage to do the business against Watford.

    Simon Oxley

A point is very much deserved for Matt Bloomfield's side. Who knows, at the end of the season, that might be a very important point.

It is a point gained. Luton didn't do enough to win, but a draw is a fair result.

  20. 'Coventry gave absolutely everything'published at 14:35 British Summer Time 5 April

The Sky Blues gave absolutely everything to try and get back into this game in the second half but Burnley held on in the end.
