Coventry remain unbeaten and are up to second place in the Championship after battering Millwall 4-0.

Here's what boss Frank Lampard has told BBC CWR:

"An outstanding performance at a tough place to come where they don't get beaten much.

"The focus of the team was great - as a complete performance from high pressing and a bit of control in the first half to being a bit more compact and dangerous in the transition, the team showed a couple of different faces today and good ones.

"We work really hard - we've seen progress for sure and I think the fans are relating to what they're seeing on the pitch with the players, their focus, their passion.

"It's going to be difficult to be where we want to be this season because of the size of our squad and the challenges that come with this league but if we can keep this togetherness and keep playing we can have a chance."

  4. 'Irankunda didn't seem fresh'published at 22:37 BST 1 October

    FT: Portsmouth 2-2 Watford

    Watford

Watford boss Paulo Pezzolano speaking to BBC Radio 3CR:

"Two different parts completely. Maybe the first part, we were too stretched. Second part, we were more compact, we showed a better face.

"The good news is that the team are showing that character to turn around the games."

On substituting Nestory Irankunda before half-time:

"He [Irankunda] didn't seem fresh. He didn't seem like he was able to recover after an effort and I didn't want to take any risk with injury. Rocco came in and did incredibly well.

"It's good for him and for the team. He's a young player, he's been scoring goals, he's been having some good performances. This is good for him but the important thing is not taking any risks."

  5. 'A game we should have won'published at 22:34 BST 1 October

    FT: Portsmouth 2-2 Watford

    Portsmouth

Portsmouth boss John Mousinho speaking to BBC Radio Solent:

"It does feel like a game we should have won.

"We gave the ball away a little really cheaply at times which meant we got countered on, which was a real frustration.

"It was important to end the losing run, we thought we could come here and win the game but it feels like a bit of a hammer blow the way we went behind.

"We have another home game here on Saturday which is a chance to get back to winning ways."

  6. 'An amazing effort'published at 22:29 BST 1 October

    FT: Norwich 0-1 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Ryan MasonImage source, Rex Features

Baggies boss Ryan Mason told BBC Radio WM:

"It was an amazng effort to keep a clean sheet on the road which isn't easy to do and we had to suffer.

"Josh (Griffiths - goalkeeper) had a big couple of moments at the end of the game - there was a real togetherness and fighting spirit to see out the game.

"I think performance wise they probably played a better game than us, created more chances but we had to ride our luck and had to have people produce big moments to keep a clean sheet but that happens in football."

  7. 'It's clear we have to start winning games'published at 22:24 BST 1 October

    FT: Norwich 0-1 West Brom

    Norwich City

Norwich boss Ryan Manning told BBC Radio Norfolk:

"It's hugely frustrating. To lose it's a tough one to take because I thought the performance was good.

"We showed a bit of bravery, we showed a bit of quality, I thought we showed a bit of purpose to it. We created opportunity just didn't take them.

"It's quite clear, we have to start winning games. But if we perform like that, create those opportunities and restrict the opposition to very little up.

"Tonight the performance was much better but the result wasn't what we wanted it to be."

Coventry move into second place and close the gap on the leaders Middlesbrough to two points.

West Brom's first win in four games moves them up to fourth place.

It still doesn't look great for the two Sheffield sides at the bottom while Blackburn have also dropped into the bottom three.

    QPR 0-0 Oxford

Goalless at Loftus Road but extends the Hoops unbeaten streak to a fifth game.

Both sides struggled to get their shots on target, with only Michael Frey's first-half attempt going in the right trajectory.

For Oxford, they go home with their first clean sheet of the season.

For Rangers, they head back down the tunnel knowing they still clinched a point despite not being at their best.

  18. Postpublished at 21:54 BST 1 October

    QPR 0-0 Oxford

For a moment, it looked like we were getting that late goal.

Michał Helik makes contract with a superb Oxford delivery but his head is ducked down and instead it bounces off his body and off-target.

Last chance of the game? Probably.

  19. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 21:52 BST 1 October

    QPR 0-0 Oxford

    Oh it's all kicking off.

Oxford boss Gary Rowett and Hoops left-back Rhys Norrington-Davies get into a little scrap after Norrington-Davies gives the manager a little, unnecessary push.

Both sets of players come flooding in and in the end, both involved parties are shown yellow for their spat.

  20. 'Draw probably fair'published at 21:51 BST 1 October

    FT: Portsmouth 2-2 Watford

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at Fratton Park

We didn't get the late goal that this game teased but that ending was very entertaining to watch.

Portsmouth pushed Watford deep into their own half as they piled on the pressure but the Hornets threatened hugely on the counter even in the late stages.

A draw is probably a fair result on the balance but as a whole that was a hugely competitive game that both sides will take positives from.
