    It's been coming...

    Blackburn 0-0 Swansea

Blackburn have won all four home games in the Championship and are seeking to make that five right out of the blocks today.

Tyhryhs Dolan's cross is flicked on by Ryan Hedges but the recalled Todd Cantwell can't quite get on the end of it at the back stick.

Positive start for Rovers after consecutive defeats, though.

Teams are out and the atmosphere is up.

There will of course also be moments of reflection at several grounds before kick-off this afternoon after what has been a very sad past week or so for the football world.

We certainly would not say no to a bit of a thriller at the best365 Stadium this afternoon, and these two have produced all the ingredients of late to suggest it could happen!

Narcis Pelach's Potters hit six when they last played at home against Portsmouth at the start of the month - the first time they had done that since THAT Premier League meeting with Liverpool in 2015.

The Canaries meanwhile have also had an eye for goal of late - scoring 12 in their last four, and at least three in three of those fixtures.

They also found the net three times against Stoke in this match up earlier in the year.

No surprise perhaps that Johannes Hoff Thorup's side are top of the form table across the last four games, and another win today could see them end the day in the play-off places.

The Potters were slow to get going this season, but three points this afternoon could see jump into the top half at the end of play tonight.

As we said, nothing to stop this one being a high-scoring affair. 0-0 anyone?

  19. 'Swansea hard to beat'published at 14:52 British Summer Time 19 October

    Blackburn v Swansea (15:00 BST)

    Giulia Bould
    Final Score

Despite two defeats on the bounce, Blackburn have been solid at home this season with four wins out of four here at sunny Ewood Park.

They are going for a fifth today and the last time they managed that was the 1994-95 season when they won the Premier League.

Meanwhile Swansea maybe mid-table but they are hard to beat. They have conceded just six goals in the league and they did win here last season…

The international break must have dragged more for John Eustace and Blackburn than maybe any other side in the division.

They entered October unbeaten in the league, only to lose their last two games, comprehensively at Coventry and then in dramatic fashion at Plymouth last time out.

The good news for Rovers today is they do return to Ewood Park, where they have won all four games, to host Swansea.

Swansea have other ideas, however, they completed the double over Rovers last season, have shored up their defence significantly since the turn of the year and are seeking to make it back-to-back wins at Ewood Park for the first time ever.

Luke Williams' side have lost three of their past four on the road but know a win could take them above eighth-placed Rovers in the table.
