    HT: Middlesbrough 0-2 Bristol City

    Ben Croucher
    BBC Final Score

Such a bizarre half of football.

Middlesbrough should have been ahead, probably 2-0 up, inside 15 minutes. Ben Doak has caused the Robins defence headaches all afternoon.

Boos echoed around the Riverside at half time but if I'm Michael Carrick in the Boro dressing room, I'm not sure I'd be too disheartened with their display. He can't do anything about two defensive aberrations.

Full credit to Bristol City for taking their chances. Can you have a smash and grab before half time?

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 19 October

    Stoke 1-1 Norwich

Those who went to join the half-time bar queue early would have missed not one, but two goals in Stoke.

Ante Crnac's first Norwich goal gave Norwich the lead in first-half injury time, but the lead lasted a matter of minutes after Million Manhoef's precise strike tied things up before these two headed for the changing rooms.

A sign of a great time is to ride out a storm and take your chances.

That is exactly what Burnley have done at Hillsborough. They have the lead against the run of play thanks to Jaidon Anthony.

Scott Parker's Clarets are heading top.

GOAL Stoke 1-1 Norwichpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 19 October

    Million Manhoef (45+6 mins)

A big of magic from Milly!

Stoke are level and it is a beauty! Million Manhoef takes down a cross from the left and curls a stunner beyond George Long.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 19 October

    QPR 1-1 Portsmouth

    Enjoyed that!

Two sides in the relegation zone going at it.

Nicolas Schmid, playing just his second game between the sticks for Portsmouth won't want to see QPR's opener again.

The Austrian came out of his area to head the ball away and only succeeded in finding Karamoko Dembele who promptly lobbed the ball back over the stranded 'keeper's head for his first goal for the Londoners.

Credit Pompey for their reaction as they levelled within ten minutes with Callum Lang's cut back finding Freddie Potts to score.

Schmind then stood up well to deny Ilias Chair whole R's goalkeeper Paul Nardi saved a long range shot from Christian Saydee.

It's good this one, but does it have a winner?

    Middlesbrough 0-2 Bristol City

    Incredible.

Middlesbrough have bossed most of the half and spurned several decent chances but have been stung by goals from Anis Mehmedi and Yu Hirakawa.

How the Robins love playing at the Riverside.

Boos ring out as the half-time whistle sounds. Boro have largely been architects of their own downfall.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 19 October

    Millwall 0-0 Derby

Millwall should be ahead but they're not.

Macauley Langstaff's come closest to breaking the deadlock but having broken through his effort came back off the inside of the post.

Ryan Leonard, George Honeyman and Duncan Watmore have also had opportunities.

A Jerry Yates header wide of goal is the closest Derby have come and they've also had to replace the injured Ryan Nyambe with Kane Wilson.

It's tight but then again the scoreline would tell you that.

  8. goal

GOAL Stoke 0-1 Norwichpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ante Crnac (45 mins)

    It's been coming....

Norwich have definitely had the lion (or should that be Canary) share of the play in this opening 45 and they cap off the half with a goal

Ante Crnac grabs his first in Yellow and Green by firing home at the near post.

  9. goal

GOAL Middlesbrough 0-2 Bristol Citypublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 19 October

    Yu Hirakawa (45+2 mins)

    Extraordinary!

The Japanese forward Yu Hirakawa has curled into the corner past Seny Dieng to double Bristol City's lead on the stroke of half-time with his first goal for the club.

Once again though it's Boro being guilty of conceding possession in a dangerous area as they try to build from the back.

What a time to get a second goal.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 19 October

    Blackburn 1-0 Swansea

Blackburn are halfway to a fifth win from five at Ewood Park this season.

Tyrhys Dolan's early strike from a corner is the difference at the break, although Swansea have shown signs they are more than capable of getting themselves back into this one.

They did the double over Rovers last season, don't forget.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ah, can you believe it?!

Sheffield Wednesday have looked so bright on the counter but have handed it to Burnley. Yan Valery getting his feet mixed up at the back and Bournemouth loanee Jaidon Anthony pouncing on the ball.

It's a cool finish from him, one-on-one with James Beadle for his first goal of the season. The stuffing has been completely knocked out of the home supporters.

Burnley have controlled possession, and no doubt will continue to do so. Call me a bit cynical but with the quality that they have, I’m not sure they’ll allow Wednesday to get back into this one.

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Bristol City

Boro pressing for an equaliser but Aidan Morris' dangerous cross-shot into the goalmouth is hacked clear by the City defence.

Can the hosts get back on terms in the four minutes and change before the break?

  14. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 19 October

    QPR 1-1 Portsmouth

These two are really going at each other.

This time Paul Nardi in the QPR goal has to save from Christian Saydee.

  15. 'From out of absolutely nowhere'published at 15:42 British Summer Time 19 October

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Burnley

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Burnley capitalised on the mistake, from out of absolutely nowhere!

It fell for Anthony, who was through on goal, a good finish.

He took it really nicely, tucked it into the corner.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 19 October

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Bristol City

A fourth caution of the game, this time it's for Bristol City as Ross McCrorie has his name taken by Sam Allison after a foul on Ben Doak.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 19 October

    Millwall 0-0 Derby

A first-half substitution for Derby with Ryan Nyambe having to come off to be replaced by Kane Wilson.

  18. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 19 October

QPR almost back in front as Ilias Chair breaks through but Nicolas Schmid makes the save for Portsmouth.

    Jaidon Anthony (37 mins)

A statement of intent at the top!

Scott Parker's side are heading to the Championship summit.

Jaidon Anthony takes advantage of a mix up at the back and calmly slots the Clarets in front.

Against the run of play somewhat, but the travelling fans won't care about that.
