Summary

  1. CHANCE!published at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

    Cardiff threaten once more.

Joel Bagan's cross is half-cleared and Alex Robertson feeds Callum Robinson, but his shot is too close to Lawrence Vigouroux.

  2. Postpublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Successive corners come to nothing for the home side before Ilias Chair trys to break but Plymouth turn it over again and win a third corner.

Frenetic end to an otherwise slow half.

  3. Postpublished at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Alex Robertson lines up another free-kick and, with everyone expecting a cross, tries to catch Swansea goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux at his near post.

Vigouroux is not really troubled, but Cardiff remain on top in this spell.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Brilliant save from Daniel Grimshaw to somehow get across and divert Michael Frey's goalbound effort behind.

Paul Smyth gets through the middle and the ball diverts to Frey in oceans of space but the Argyle keeper comes flying across to make the stop.

The big Swiss striker almost gets on it again from the corner as the ball is recycled to Sam Field, whose in-swinging ball squirrels all the way through for a goal kick.

Plymouth get up the pitch and have a corner of their own.

  5. 'Very scrappy indeed'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Milwall 0-0 Hull

    Alex Burgess
    Commentator on BBC Radio Humberside

It's a grey day here at the new Den and it's been a grey-ish game of football.

Few chances for either side really, it's been scrappy at times, very scrappy indeed!

  6. 'Calm and composed'published at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff City 0-0 Swansea City

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

Calum Chambers has a shot at goal against SwanseaImage source, Rex Features

Calum Chambers has probably been Cardiff's best player in this first half. He's been all over the pitch, very good in possession, calm and composed in a very frantic area of the pitch.

He's had probably the best chance for Cardiff as well working the goalkeeper.

  7. Postpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

George Honeyman does well down the left for Millwall, getting a decent ball into the area. It breaks to Casper De Norre on the edge of the box but his wayward effort sums up the game so far.

  8. Postpublished at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Cardiff manager Omer Riza gesticulates on the touchlineImage source, Rex Features

Swansea are being hurried in possession now.

Omer Riza will surely be the happier of the two bosses. This is not Swansea's kind of game.

  9. 'QPR having more of the ball'published at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

    James Law
    Commentator on BBC Radio Devon

Argyle started the game with lots of attempts it's sort of fizzled out here so far.

QPR not necessarily dominating the game but probably having more of the ball.

  10. Postpublished at 13:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

One for the purists so far at The Den. Both sides are struggling to create a great deal.

It might not be a huge surprise in a clash between two teams who have three wins between them in 22 games combined.

Plenty of new signings on the bench for each, though, and there's still plenty of time for it to come to life.

  11. Postpublished at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

QPR win a free kick in a dangerous position and Ilias Chair fancies it.

But his effort is straight into the wall and his wait for a first goal of the season goes on.

  12. 'Much better'published at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

    Owain Tudur Jones
Former Swansea City and Wales midfielder on BBC Radio Cymru

Much better from Cardiff. All of a sudden, it's the home team on the front foot.

  13. Postpublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Cardiff come again and it's another set-piece which causes problems.

Once again the ball drops to Calum Chambers, who hits the target this time but is denied by Lawrence Vigouroux's near-post save.

This is the home side's best spell.

  14. Postpublished at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

    Ooofff.

A late and very high challenge from Kieran Morgan goes unpunished by the referee.

That's a sore one for Adam Randell but Morgan has gotten away with it. Lucky boy.

  15. Chance for Cardiff!published at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

That's the best sight of goal we have seen.

Alex Robertson's corner is met by at the near post by Dimitrios Goutas, who hooks goalwards only for Matt Grimes to head as far as Calum Chambers.

Chambers cannot quite get on top of the bouncing ball and his effort goes over.

  16. 'Swansea have to be more intricate'published at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff City 0-0 Swansea City

I think from a Swansea perspective it's about the final third. How do you create chances? They have to be a bit more intricate and a bit more thoughtful. We know they like to dominate the ball, it's important they get the runs in behind.

  17. Postpublished at 13:02 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Muted penalty shouts from the home fans as Tymoteusz Puchacz goes down under a challenge in the box but there are no appeals from the home players.

QPR break at pace through Paul Smyth but the Northern Irishman eventually loses the ball and gives away the foul trying to win it back.

That's kind of how it's been - scrappy.

  18. 'Up the tempo'published at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff City 0-0 Swansea City

    Andy Robinson
Former Swansea City winger on BBC Radio Wales

Swansea's Joe Allen clatters into Cardiff's Alex RobertsonImage source, Getty Images

Swansea are in possession on the ball, they've got control of the football it's just about upping the tempo.

  19. Postpublished at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

In way that collision sums up much of this game so far.

It has been a right old midfield scrap.

  20. Postpublished at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Harry Darling and Ollie Tanner go in for a 50-50, with the Cardiff winger coming off worse.

Tanner's shin pad goes flying through the air as a result of the impact.

Perhaps he will pull his socks up a little further after that.
