Summary

  1. CLOSEpublished at 12:59 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Almost a first QPR goal for Ronnie Edwards.

A period of pressure ends in another Hoops corner and again Kenneth Paal looks deep for Jimmy Dunne.

This time the Irishman wins the header and puts it into the six-yard box, with the on-loan Southampton man heading just wide.

Leading up to the goal and Pilgrims keeper Daniel Grimshaw was almost caught out after clearing the ball only as far as Morgan Fox, but the Hoops' defender's effort deflected behind.

The visitors applying most of the pressure now.

  2. Postpublished at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

A first sight of goal this afternoon for Cardiff, as Alex Robertson tries his luck from outside the area.

It's comfortably wide, but that has lifted the home fans once more.

  3. 'It's been intense'published at 12:57 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

It's been intense. I think Swansea have been the better team in possession as you would expect. Cardiff City have been aggressive.

The intensity has been good from both teams. Swansea City controlled in possession, Cardiff looking to break up play and then play on the counter attack.

That midfield area has been very intense, there's not a lot of time for players on the ball.

  4. 'Both teams lacking quality'published at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Milwall 0-0 Hull

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

Both teams seem like they are lacking quality out there. The desire is there though definitely.

But there have been chances created and I can't see this being a nil-nil game.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

Lewie Coyle hands over the captain's armband to Alfie Jones and that means he can play no further part in this game for Hull.

Coyle limps off the pitch gingerly and he's replaced by Cody Drameh.

  6. 'A big loss'published at 12:54 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

    Iwan Roberts
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru

He's (Callum O'Dowda) one of their most creative players, despite playing at left-back.

He's got the energy to get up the wing, so this is a big loss for Omer Riza.

  7. Postpublished at 12:54 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Hoops keeper Paul Nardi deals with an Argyle corner rather sloppily.

Ryan Hardie has the ball in the net but the whistle had already gone for offside.

    Better from the hosts.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 12:54 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

It's a blow for Cardiff as Callum O'Dowda has been one of their better performers this season.

He is replaced by Joel Bagan.

  9. Postpublished at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

Hull skipper Lewie Coyle has gone down near the halfway line and looks to be in some serious discomfort.

This might be bad news for Coyle and Tigers boss Ruben Selles, who is taking the opportunity of the break in play for an impromptu team talk on the sidelines.

  10. Postpublished at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

A deep QPR corner from Kenneth Paal can't quite find Jimmy Dunne at the far post.

That'll be an area of danger for the hosts today, the towering defender has four goals for the Hoops this season.

  11. Postpublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Callum O'Dowda is down injured and it looks like Cardiff will be forced into an early change.

  12. 'Popping with noise'published at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

The contrast in atmosphere between this game and any other at Cardiff City Stadium this season is difficult to overstate.

Given Cardiff's struggles towards the bottom of the Championship, it's understandable why the mood here tends to be one of subdued apprehension.

Today, however, it is popping with noise. You have to raise your voice just to have conversation with the person sat next to you.

  13. Postpublished at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

Duncan Watmore drives bravely through the middle for Millwall, under pressure from three Hull defenders. He goes to ground on the edge of the box but manages to shovel a clever back heel to George Honeyman.

But Honeyman blazes over from just inside the area against his former club.

  14. Postpublished at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Nice move by the Hoops as Kieran Morgan and Michael Frey exchange passes, before the former plays in Paul Smyth down the right.

The backtracking Rami Al Hajj just does enough to unsettle the winger and it rolls out for a goal kick without a touch from either player.

    QPR growing into the game.

  15. 'Nothing clear cut just yet'published at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

    Katie Middleton
Ex-captain of Plymouth Ladies on BBC Radio Devon

Smyth tries to catch Grimshaw out at the near post.

Fairly non-descript defending from Whittaker. It's one of the areas that Plymouth have struggled to deal with from those long throws.

Nothing clear cut from either side just yet.

  16. Postpublished at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Swansea work the ball nicely down the right flank and Joe Allen sends a deep cross to the far post towards Eom Ji-Sung.

The South Korean is not what you would call a towering presence, so it is little surprise to see his header loop harmlessly over the top.

  17. Postpublished at 12:48 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Plymouth 0-0 QPR

Chance for the visitors and it comes from a long throw by Paul Smyth, one of the smaller players on the pitch.

Jimmy Dunne heads it on in the box but Plymouth get it away as far as Smyth again.

The Northern Ireland international cuts in and flashes a shot just wide of the near post, that's the closest we've come so far.

  18. 'A key battle'published at 12:48 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff City 0-0 Swansea City

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

Both teams are understanding the importance of that midfield area today. Joe Allen playing more as a no.10 and Rubin Colwill coming out of the team for Cardiff and Joe Ralls coming in.

Both teams going a bit more safe in that midfield area understanding that area of the pitch is going to be a key battle.

  19. Postpublished at 12:47 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

It's a bit scrappy at The Den with niggly fouls from both sides meaning it's been stop-start in the past five minutes or so.

Millwall are without a win in their past five league games against Hull (D3 L2). That being said, the Tigers have only won on this ground twice in 26 attempts (D10 L14).

Perhaps something will give this afternoon.

  20. Postpublished at 12:47 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Cardiff 0-0 Swansea

Swansea are trying to get their possession game going but they have not been fluent as yet.

Omer Riza must be fairly happy with the way Cardiff have disrupted their opponents up until now.
