Summary

  1. 'Norwich have been excellent'published at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Norwich

    Leigh Bromby
Former Sheff Utd and Norwich defender on BBC Radio Norfolk

I actually think Norwich have been excellent with and without the ball, but the opportunity for United came from Norwich allowing them that though.

  2. Postpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Derby 0-1 Watford

The Rams trail at home but a good chance for the equaliser as Eiran Cashin misses after a quick free kick.

Before that Callum Elder, who missed the crucial penalty in Derby's FA Cup shootout defeat at Leyton Orient this week, was booked and I don't really know why.

No free kick given, the fans were perplexed. Odd.

  3. Postpublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Portsmouth 0-0 Middlesbrough

Following a break in play due to a medical emergency, play is set to resume at Fratton Park at 15:35 GMT.

  4. Postpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Luton 0-0 Preston

A bit of a scrappy half so far at Kenilworth Road.

Luton and Preston have exchanged fouls with Jordan Storey the only man to see yellow so far.

    No goals just yet.

  5. 'Super strike by Burrows'published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

Massive goal. It sends them top if it stays like this. It's a super strike this. It's one of those you'll see over and over again.

Harrison Burrows, outside the area, it hits one post, goes across the line, hits the other post and goes in despite Angus Gunn trying to keep it out.

  6. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Coventry 0-0 Bristol City

Jack Rudoni causing problems for the home side.

The midfielder breaks free down the left and whips in a cross.

It's met by Milan van Ewijk but the shot goes into the ground and wide of Max O'Leary's goal.

  7. 'Medical incident'published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Portsmouth 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Andy Moon
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

A medical incident in the first few rows of the north stand has delayed kick-off.

The screen that had been up is now down. Paramedics and medical staff have been working incredibly hard, they've moved the patient onto the stretcher.

  8. Back in the Black Country - and back scoring!published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    West Brom 0-1 Stoke City

Nathan Lowe cups his ears to the West Brom fansImage source, Rex Features

Just a week ago, Nathan Lowe was scoring the last of his 18 goals on loan for League Two leaders Walsall late on in a 5-1 win over Tranmere Rovers.

Fast forward a week and he's back in the Black Country, instantly recalled by Mark Robins for his first start of the season for Stoke City.

And he's not lost his eye for goals.

It was only half a chance - but Lowe buried it with an instinctive finish - and it's left the Potters feeling pretty (pleased) in pink.

His last goal for Stoke came a bit longer ago - a last-minute winner at Bristol City 476 days ago.

It has rather dampened the mood for the home fans, though, after Tony Mowbray's ceremonial entrance.

  9. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Oxford 0-0 Blackburn

New Oxford signing Michal Helik has had an eventful first half so far.

With 21 minutes gone he's shown a yellow card for a foul on John Buckley.

Blackburn win a free-kick but Todd Cantwell's right-footed drive fails to hit the target.

    Harrison Burrows (22 mins)

Harrison Burrows scores for Sheffield UnitedImage source, Rex Features

Breakthrough for Sheffield United who take a deserved lead! And what a hit this is from Harrison Burrows.

The full-back chests down a loose clearance and unleashes a powerful drive which cannons off one post then the other before flying into the back of the net.

Chris Wilder's side are heading to the top of the Championship as things stand.

  11. 'A couple of good chances for Blades'published at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Norwich

    Naz Premji
BBC reporter at Bramall Lane on Final Score

The home side with a couple of really good opportunities. Rhian Brewster with a low drive which was turned behind for a corner.

From that corner, a lovely low shot from Gustavo Hamer that was straight at Angus Gunn.

The home side just picking up the pace here. Norwich struggling to get anywhere near the United backline and any time they do, Michael Cooper and the United defenders are very much equal to it.

  12. 'Heckingbottom will be pleased'published at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Luton 0-0 Preston

    Mick Payne
England C goalkeeping coach on BBC Radio Lancashire

I think Paul Heckingbottom will be pretty pleased, there's been moments of pressure but at the moment they've weathered the pressure from Luton.

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Coventry 0-0 Bristol City

Penalty shouts from the home side as Jay Dasilva goes down in the Robins' box but they're waved away by the referee.

Nothing to separate these two yet with that early chance from Nahki Wells the closest we've come.

  14. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Portsmouth 0-0 Middlesbrough

An announcement has been played over the address system at Fratton Park thanking fans for their patience as a medical emergency takes place in one of the stands.

Looks like the delay to play will continue for a bit longer.

We'll keep you posted should anything further be announced.

  15. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Coventry 0-0 Bristol City

Victor Torp takes aim from the edge of the box and it flies just wide for the hosts.

    Not far away.

  16. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Norwich

Gustavo Hamer hits a low effort from distance for Sheffield United and it takes a deflection on the way through but Angus Gunn does well to get down and save in the Norwich goal.

  17. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    West Brom 0-1 Stoke

Nathan Lowe bagged 15 goals in 22 games for League Two leaders Walsall. He's not hung around in getting up and running for the season with Stoke either.

Perfect start for Lowe and the Potters today.

  18. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Oxford 0-0 Blackburn

End-to-end stuff between Oxford and Blackburn.

Firstly, Sikiri Dembele works into the centre of the Rovers box but the Oxford man sees his shot saved by keeper Aynsley Pears after some good work from Ruben Rodriguez in the build-up.

Meanwhile at the other end, Makhtar Gueye fires goalbound with a right-footed shot from outside the box which is diverted wide.

  19. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    Coventry 0-0 Bristol City

First sight at goal for the Robins and Nahki Wells as the striker is played in but Coventry goalkeeper Oliver Dovin makes himself big and gets down well to his left to prevent the opening goal.

    Nathan Lowe (9 mins)

Nathan Lowe peels away after giving Stoke the lead at West BromImage source, Rex Features

Stoke take the lead and it's 19-year-old striker Nathan Lowe on his first start since returning from his loan spell with Walsall who gets it!

Junior Tchamadeu hits a shot towards goal and it falls the way of Lowe, who stabs it home from close range.

Nine minutes into his comeback appearance, Lowe is putting a dampener on the imminent return of West Brom boss Tony Mowbray.
