  2. Postpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 30 May

Around five minutes to play now.

Safe to say it's not been the best game I've ever seen.

Man Utd fans, would you be happy to see Chido Obi be given chances to start in the Premier League next season?

Man Utd have stepped it up this second half against a tiring Hong Kong side.

    Chido Obi

    The youngster at the double.

I said Chido Obi has been the bright spark for Man Utd but you can add Mason Mount to that list.

The two combine with Mount putting the ball on a plate for Obi to head into the bottom corner.

Into the final 10 minutes at the Hong Kong Stadium and the ball is really starting to hold up now with all the rain that's been pouring down.

Kobbie Mainoo is one of many Manchester United players who need a reset this summer.

This time last year he was preparing to star for England at the European Championships after capping his breakthrough season at United with an FA Cup final goal.

Injury has not helped but Mainoo is way off that form now.

I don’t think he has found a role in Ruben Amorim’s system yet. But he has the talent to fit in somewhere. He just needs to get his form back.

We desperately need a fully functioning attack next season. When you compare the present options to the 98/99 season with Yorke, Cole, Solskjaer and Sheringham or the 2008 season with Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez . A long way off I’m afraid. Fingers crossed for Ruben to guide the recruitment.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 30 May

    Hong Kong 1-1 Man Utd

Mason Mount goes down in the box and I thought that was a nailed on penalty but the referee decides against it.

Plenty of half and half scarves in the crowd.

Are they acceptable at a game like this?

  13. Postpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 30 May

That should be 2-1 to Man Utd as Kobbie Mainoo skips past a Hong Kong player on the edge of the box but he lifts his finish over the top.

As a lifelong Utd fan it’s so disappointing. I don’t see a way out unless Glazers and Ratcliffe go: 1) Training Ground not up to modern standard. 2) Stadium falling apart. 3) Glazers debt hanging over the club preventing financial sustainability. The club have had so many good managers since Sir Alex retired. The issue is clearly higher up and cultural Amorim is not the man though. Bring in Sir Gareth Southgate. He knows how to build a project and bring through youth. Only man to get a tune out of England since Sir Alf Ramsey.

Hong Kong’s players got a bit carried away there. With a bit of calmness there was a lay-off on that would have offered a clean strike at goal. As it was, too many players saw the headlines and tried to get on the scoresheet themselves.

A short stoppage in play as both sets of players come to the side of the pitch for a drink of water.

Chido Obi loves having a shot.

He works some space on the edge of the box and has a go but it's straight at substitute goalkeeper Ng Wai-him.

  18. CLOSE!published at 14:27 British Summer Time 30 May

    Hong Kong 1-1 Man Utd

So close to Hong Kong retaking the lead!

It's a stunning touch from Mahama Awal to break free down the left and he sends in a cross.

Altay Bayindir is forced into action twice to keep Man Utd level.

The problem is, there is now no scenario where people aren't frustrated that we didn't sell Bruno next season. If he plays a few bad games, the pressure on him will increase, and if Man Utd don't do well, people will say we should have sold to rebuild. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

It's whipped in beautifully by Mason Mount but no team-mate can get a head on it and it skips wide of the far post.
