    Neil Redfearn

It's a great effort from Piroe, good from Sam Byram to pick him out, but Piroe catches it well and it hits the outside of the post and it bounces to safety for Plymouth.

  2. RED CARD: Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough)published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Coventry

Middlesbrough haven't started well and now they're down to 10 men.

It's a second yellow card for Hayden Hackney and he has to go.

It's the first dismissal of Hackney's career.

That'll dent the division's best disciplinary record.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November

    QPR 0-0 Sunderland

The Black Cats are on the prowl now but while their encounters with the net are getting closer, they haven't quite joined together yet.

Coventry haven't won an away game since 29 March but they're giving it everything in the north east.

Brandon Thomas-Asante and Haji Wright have had goals disallowed by offside flags and now Thomas-Asante has another shot but it's wide of Seny Dieng's goal.

  6. 'Opened up for Isidor'published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November

    QPR 0-0 Sunderland

  7. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November

    Hull City 1-0 Portsmouth

You really don't feel like bottom side Portsmouth can afford to fall further behind in this one.

Nicolas Schmid makes a fine save from Xavier Simons to stop Hull doubling their lead.

  8. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November

    QPR 0-0 Sunderland

It's surprisingly quiet down at Loftus Road.

Both sides have got themselves a shot towards goal but both front men sending their strikes off-target; Zan Celar missing for QPR and Sunderland's Wilson Isidor cutting it close but not the right side of the post.

    Joao Pedro (11 mins)

The home side hit the front against the bottom side.

Joao Pedro flicks home his first goal for the Tigers after joining in September.

If Pompey are going to get anything today they'll need to come back from behind to do it.

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Watford

Sheffield Wednesday defender D'Shon Bernard doesn't get many but he's had two good chances today!

    Decent chance.

  14. goal

GOAL: Preston 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November

    Yu Hirakawa (6 mins)

No comeback required for the Robins. At least, not from an early trail.

Bristol City's front man Nahki Wells sends in a cross towards Yu Hirakawa but Preston North End's defence get themselves in the way.

After that, well... it's just a mess. There's some confusion at the back and in that chaos, Hirakawa finds the net.

Preston keeper Freddie Woodman signals for a handball but the referee points to the spot to give the goal. Mads Frokjaer-Jensen goes in the book for his following protests and Preston are already feeling dejected.

Great build up play, great ball in by Tanaka and Joel Piroe just lifts it over the bar, he gets across his man really well and if he meets that then it's a really good chance.
