Jared: I bet you, if McLaren doesn't do anything here for Oscar's complaint, they're going to get shocked in the races to follow. Oscar is not going to take any orders that don't favour him going forward. He sounds fed up.
That's not the first time Max Verstappen has complained about downshift this season, but the Dutchman, who has never won in Singapore, is still running in second place on his soft starting tyre. Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, has flagged to Ferrari his issue is with understeer.
Fernando Alonso, who was showing some decent pace in Singapore practice, has gained a couple of places in his Aston Martin and is now in eighth spot. The gap at the front, however, is growing by each lap, and George Russell can (sort of) relax a little bit with a six-second advantage.
Anon: Can’t believe Oscar is complaining about that. Yes, it was feisty from Norris, but it’s racing, get on with it. Can’t expect your team just to let you back in front.
Nulla: Oscar sounding less cool than usual, he is getting fed up!

Oscar Piastri has been so cool and calm all season, this is not the time to be losing your head over this.
You've got the car underneath you, you've got the skill set, go and use it and catch up to the back of Lando Norris and showcase why you should be the world champion this year.
Alex Albon, Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz haven't found a way to move up the order just yet, the trio running in 20th, 19th and 18th respectively. The other Red Bull of Yuki Tsunoda has also dropped places and is now running in 17th spot.
Max Verstappen in second and on the soft tyres is keeping Lando Norris at bay in the final podium place with a 1.7-second gap to the McLaren driver. George Russell is a medium runner and clocks another quickest lap out in the lead.
Tom: I'm sure Oscar is annoyed that McLaren have shown favouritism towards Lando this year, but they can't reverse positions for an overtake. And the stewards shouldn't penalise that, he was there fairly.

Lap 8/62
Engineer: "No further action from the stewards. As a team, we can see Lando has to avoid Verstappen, so we won't take any action during the race, so we will review it after the race."
Piastri: "That's not fair. I am sorry, that's not fair. If he has to avoid another crash by crashing into his team-mate, then that's a **** poor job of avoiding."
The yellow flag is waved very briefly but vanishes quickly, so on we go with the Singapore Grand Prix. George Russell is banking fastest laps in the Mercedes at the front of the field followed by Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
'Russell has absolutely controlled the opening five laps'published at 13:15 BST

With Max Verstappen starting on the softs, we expected him to go and challenge George Russell on the opening five laps, and that hasn't happened at all.
Russell got a great launch from pole position and has absolutely controlled the opening five laps of this race.
The McLaren phone is ringing once again. Oscar Piastri's engineer informs the title leader the stewards are not going to investigate the race start but the Australian is not happy with how things are playing out. He's still in fourth place, now behind his main rival Lando Norris.
It's a very interesting situation because McLaren have these racing rules between their two team-mates and the main rule is that you can't hit each other.
The leader of the pack, George Russell, is keeping cool, probably wearing his vest, ahead of the Red Bull of Max Verstappen. The Mercedes driver is extending his advantage, bit by bit, with every lap.
The stewards didn't see any problem with Lando Norris' early move on Oscar Piastri, so the Briton is cleared on that account. McLaren, however, tell Piastri they're looking at the incident. Papaya rules are back in Singapore.
Charles Leclerc has jumped from seventh to fifth, Kimi Antonelli lost position at the race start and is now sixth - but did the two drivers make contact? And Oliver Bearman is still in the top 10 in the final points place after a scrap with Isack Hadjar.
