    He [Verstappen] was forced off to some extend but it was almost inevitable going wide at a going like that, there's going to be arguments from both sides.

    Lando Norris is now being told Max Verstappen will face a harsher penalty if he doesn't give the position back to the McLaren of Lando Norris.

    Behind the top three, Lewis Hamilton is sitting in fourth place ahead of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Lando Norris loses his position to team-mate Oscar Piastri and is now running in second place - but the Briton says he was pushed off the track.

    Sky Sports are reporting McLaren have said Lando Norris is ready for the race start and his car is fixed.

    Max Verstappen will start in third, he said ahead of the race: "Yesterday was maybe not ideal but hopefully the car comes a bit more alive in the race, that is what we're hoping for.

    "I'm hoping for a good stable balance that we can try and follow the McLarens today, I think they will be very very fast."

    This is the first time Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are starting on the front row together but with Norris' mechanics busy on the grid trying to get the Briton's car ready for this 70-lap race, is this a great opportunity for Piastri to potentially claim his maiden F1 victory?

    There's a slight unknown, no-one knows quite just how quick Max Verstappen in that Red Bull is going to be in these longer runs in that harder tyre.

    By all accounts the hard tyre in these temperatures is going to be the favoured tyre for a large part of today's race.
