Justin Rose heads left on the 14th, far too left for the Englishman to realistically dream of another birdie from there surely?

Rose -16, MacIntyre -12 (13)
Justin Rose heads left on the 14th, far too left for the Englishman to realistically dream of another birdie from there surely?
Could we see a lowest ever winning score for a major championship today?
Here's what Xander Schauffele and company have got to beat:
Schauffele -18, Morikawa -15 (10)
Ouch! Xander Schauffele cannot convert that four-footer he needed for par and he drops a shot on what's one of the easiest three holes on the course.
It's a rare bogey that will just give the chasing pack a glimmer of hope.
Not Collin Morikawa though, who can't buy a birdie today as he cards a 10th birdie of the round - I mean, it's consistent, but it's not what he wants as he misses another short putt.
Rose -16, MacIntyre -12 (13)
Justin Rose could maybe have forced the issue a little more off the tee on the 349-yard 14th hole.
The Englishman takes a wedge from 117 yards and it almost threatens to dance into the drink ala Rory McIlroy earlier. Instead his ball grabs and checks back towards the hole. Big birdie chance incoming...he's done it again.
DeChambeau -17, Hovland -18 (12)
We've seen a few players go for the 13th green in one.
At 343 yards, I'll bet Bryson DeChambeau considered it.
But no fireworks from these two. They've played the percentages, dinked their tee shots onto the fairway and will be able to attack from a prime position.
Schauffele -19, Morikawa -15 (9)
Hmm - that's a so-so chip from Xander Schauffele after his wedged approach trickled off the back of the green.
Not a long putt coming up but a monster one in terms of this championship...
McIlroy -12 (67)
Nicely done Rory McIlroy.
On a topsy-turvy day for the former champion he finishes up with a birdie on the par-five 18th.
It is a lovely touch from the fringe of the green with his third shot to get himself to within two feet of the hole.
He calmly brushes it in to bring to an end another nearly week at a major.
With two tour wins coming into the PGA Championship at the home of his last major win 10 years ago, it felt like maybe the stars were aligning for the four-time major winner. But missed putts and one too many mistakes leave him empty handed once again.
And so the wait for a fifth major goes on...
DeChambeau -17, Hovland -18 (12)
Some more short game wizardry from Bryson DeChambeau out of the rough next to the green at the 12th.
That's a lovely par save.
Now, can Viktor Hovland claw another shot back on the leader? It's a quality approach and he follows it up by slamming home from eight feet.
Five birdies, no bogeys for the Norwegian as he hunts his first major.
Theegala -13, Lowry -14 (10)
Shane Lowry looks peeved. His cheeks are bright red and he looks to be bubbling under the surface as he heads off the 10th with a par after he almost holes out from the back of the green for birdie.
His second shot does the damage skipping into the bunker and leaving a position where is was nigh on impossible to get his wedge close.
Schauffele -19, Morikawa -15 (9)
Xander Schauffele has 280 yards to go on the par-five 10th, from the greenside bunker with a hanging lie, he's not one you'd expect to go for this but he's pulled out the fairway wood - and absolutely smokes it!
I don't think he disturbed a single grain of sand picking that ball up so cleanly - but he's not quite made it and he could be in a spot of bother in the rough.
Still, top marks for the intent though.
Rose -15, MacIntyre -12 (12)
Excellent scrambling from Justin Rose, who somehow chips to four feet from a horrible spot and taps in for his par.
Schauffele -19, Morikawa -15 (9)
Xander Schauffele is definitely in attack mode, and he attacks the ninth green from the rough and jams one in tight enough to make it a simple birdie.
That's the fourth of his front nine to take him to 19 under and although he's not running away with it he's keeping his nose well in front.
Schauffele -19 (9)
Pretty obvious who these guys are rooting for.
Rose -15, MacIntyre -12 (12)
Justin Rose arrows his tee shot straight into the rough on the 12th. Not what the Englishman was hoping for at all.
His second leaves him short of the dancefloor playing up a slope and over a bunker to the green.
Rai -7 (71), Wallace -6 (72)
It would have required something spectacular from the English duo of Aaron Rai and Matt Wallace to challenge those at the top.
Instead it was pretty steady rounds from both as they finish up with a pair of pars on the 18th and final hole for a 71 and 72 respectively
It should be a confidence boosting week for the pair after competing well across all four days but just ran out of steam in the end.
Thomas -12, Finau -9 (13)
At last another birdie for Justin Thomas, which comes on 13, to get him to 12 under and the ground erupt - they're just desperate to see their second favourite Kentucky colonel make a run.
DeChambeau -17, Hovland -17 (10)
Two holes ahead of the leaders, Bryson DeChambeau and Viktor Hovland both have lengthy birdie putts after their tee shots find the green.
Downhill, fast - and missing.
These two are closing the gap here.

They are playing such good golf DeChambeau and Hovaland.
The style in which they are doing it is also playing a part. They are the guys chasing the leaders down and they are bouncing off each other. Different styles of golf but both very much in form and they are pressing on.
Those four players in those last two groups are the ones to look out for.
Theegala -13, Lowry -14 (9)
Sahith Theegala gets to the turn at one over after seeing a birdie putt skirt the cup on the ninth.
Maybe that was still on his mind...his tee shot is loose and makes a beeline for the fairway bunker.
Rose -15, MacIntyre -12 (11)
Justin Rose is cooking on full gas at present. He's in to eight feet on the 11th and will have the chance to knock in a third consecutive birdie.
His fist is raised...that's dropping. The 2013 US Open champion is within three shots of the lead.
