  1. Birdies for Hovland and DeChambeaupublished at 21:40 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -17, Hovland -17 (10)

Viktor Hovland's a touch unlucky with his eagle attempt out of the rough.

A birdie drags him back to within one of the lead though.

It's a bit further than advertised for Bryson DeChambeau at fully 20 feet but he's almost sunk it.

He joins Hovland at 17 under.

  2. Bounce-back birdie... again!published at 21:39 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -11 (16)

    Birdie. Bogey. Birdie. Bogey. Birdie.

No it's not a problem with my keyboard, just Rory McIlroy's past five holes.

If ever you needed a run of holes to sum up the Northern Irishman in majors it is that.

He ends up in the left rough off the tee but a great second shot takes him to around 16 feet from the hole. He duly makes it and returns to 11 under par with two holes left to play.

  3. Birdie for Rosepublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 19 May

    Rose -14, MacIntyre -12 (10)

Justin Rose is playing himself right back into this...

There's no eagle for the Englishman but he collects back-to-back birdies and moves into a tie for fifth.

  4. Postpublished at 21:35 British Summer Time 19 May

    Schauffele -18, Morikawa -15 (8)

Xander Schauffele ticks another hole off with a par to stay a couple ahead, while Collin Morikawa now has eight pars on the card = which translates to being three strokes back.

  5. Scheffler finishes up crazy weekpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 19 May

    Scheffler -6 (65)

Can he finish with a flourish?

After a bit of difficulty with his first two shots on the par-five 18th, Scottie Scheffler tries a bump and run with his third shot but it doesn't quite reach and trickles back down the front of the green.

He takes the putter out for a long birdie attempt but it runs past and he tidies up for a par on the final hole.

It brings to an end what must have been one of the strangest weeks of Scheffler's career that included a trip to prison.

He won't be winning a grand slam this year but he can be happy with how he bounced back today.

  6. Postpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 19 May

The par-five 10th is the third-easiest hole at Valhalla this week and both Bryson DeChambeau and Viktor Hovland are up for taking it on.

Two shots back and they've given themselves eagle chances to wipe out Xander Schauffele's lead.

Hovland is a touch unfortunate to be chipping out of the rough while DeChambeau wll greedily eye a 15-footer.

  7. Lowry drops a shotpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 19 May

    Theegala -13, Lowry -14 (8)

Shane Lowry can't believe what he has just done. His birdie putt from 20 feet races the best part of five feet past and he can't make the return leg. Three putts from 20 feet and an unnecessary dropped shot.

  8. Pars at the turnpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -16, Hovland -16 (9)

Another couple of fist pumps and a purposeful walk from Bryson DeChambeau as he recovers from his dalliance with the rough to sink an eight-footer par saver.

He makes the turn three under for his round. As does Viktor Hovland who judges his long putt well and also takes a par.

The trouble for this duo is that Xander Schauffele is also three under and looking unflappable.

  9. Postpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 19 May

    Rose -13, MacIntyre -12 (9)

That's a pearler from Justin Rose, who has 270-yards or so to reach the pin on the par-five 10th.

The Englishman launches his approach into 12 feet or so and will have an eagle putt on the way. Robert MacIntyre dunks his tee shot into the fairway bunker and lays up, leaving a gentle wedge in but he gets that all wrong and skips into the longer stuff at the back.

  10. 'A good sign for him in this final round'published at 21:25 British Summer Time 19 May

    Zane Scotland
Former European Tour player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

He has been really good with the putter so far Xander Schauffele. A couple of questions have been asked and he has knocked them in with good pace which is a good sign for him in this final round.

Collin Morikawa hasn’t done too much wrong but he is going to have to find something if he is going to make any sort of a charge today.

  11. Schauffele skips two clearpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 19 May

    Schauffele -18, Morikawa -15 (7)

It's not the best escape from Xander Schauffele, but again it's the putter that bails him out as he sinks an 11 footer to get his third birdie of the day.

It's a matchplay moment as Collin Morikawa, who played a blinder out of the sand and only has five feet left, then misses his birdie try and falls three shots behind his playing partner.

  12. Postpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -16, Hovland -16 (8)

Rough to rough for Bryson DeChambeau on the ninth who has looked a bit ragged since those highly charged celebrations three holes ago.

He's errant off the tee and in gouging it out he only succeeds in finding more thick stuff around the green.

Viktor Hovland makes it onto the putting surface safely. He's 37 feet back.

  13. Birdie for Rosepublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 19 May

    Rose -13, MacIntyre -12 (9)

    Brilliant from Bob...

Robert MacIntyre scrambles superbly to save his par even if he looked like a man ready to do a high-wire act as he readied himself to putt.

His playing partner Justin Rose drops in a 24-footer to return to 13 under.

  14. Postpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 19 May

    Theegala -13, Lowry -15 (7)

Shane Lowry is fuming on the par-five seventh hole. The Irishman overclubs (again) his second, sending it flying over the green into the rough and completely fluffs his chip back.

But he regains his composure, flipping his next chip to 10 feet and rolling in a par saver.

  15. Into the water again...published at 21:16 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -11 (1)

    Oh Rory McIlroy...

For the second time in three holes his ball ends up in the drink.

If his race wasn't already run you feel it very much is now.

He recovers well with his fourth shot getting it to around four feet of the pin, but that is for a bogey and he only just makes it.

The four-time major champion looks like he is going to have to wait a bit longer for the elusive fifth.

  16. Postpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 19 May

    Schauffele -17, Morikawa -15 (6)

The last pairing are side-by-side after two shots to the par-five seventh, sadly for them it's in the greenside bunker.

Still, players of this calibre will fancy getting up and down for birdie.

  17. Postpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 19 May

    Rose -12, MacIntyre -12 (8)

Nowt doing for Justin Rose and Robert MacIntyre on the par-three eighth, but can they claw a shot back on the leader Xander Schauffele before the turn?

Rose's approach is bang on line at the ninth but he'll be putting from 20-odd feet. MacIntyre slaps his second into the rough at the back.

  18. Hot finish for Horschelpublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 19 May

    Horschel -13 (64)

Billy Horschel is having something of a renaissance and an eagle on the last sees him sign for a super 64 today to finish on 13 under.

he also hit six birdies after making a bogey on the first, so that's a brilliant round of golf to sign off with.

  19. Pars for Hovland and DeChambeaupublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -16, Hovland -16 (8)

Over at eight, Viktor Hovland is eyeing up a fourth straight birdie and a share of the lead.

Fifteen feet? Ah, it scoots by. He'll have to wait to go to the top.

Slightly loose tee shot from Bryson DeChambeau leaves him chipping out of the bunker.

He saves it well and escapes with par.

  20. Bounce-back birdiepublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -11 (14)

    Oh Rory McIlroy!

That is a yo-yo of a three holes.

Coming off the back of a bogey on the 13th, McIlroy hits his tee shot on the par-three 14th miles away from the hole.

But in true Rory McIlroy fashion he only goes and drains it from over 35 feet.
