  1. Bogey for Theegalapublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 19 May

    Theegala -14, Lowry -13 (2)

Not enough juice on that from Sahith Theegala, who couldn't control his second from out of the rough.

Faced with a lengthy putt, he only just gets it over the ridge on the left of the green and it comes up well short. A real tester for par...which slides by.

  2. Another birdie for McIlroy!published at 19:56 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -10 (9)

It is a birdie hat-trick for Rory McIlroy.

He manages to make another drop on the par four ninth and moves to double figures under par for the tournament.

History could be repeating itself for the Northern Irishman after he had the same run of birdies on the final three holes of the front nine on Saturday.

He will need the same spell and then some to catch leader Schauffele who is already up to 16 under.

  3. Postpublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 19 May

    Rose -12, MacIntyre -11 (3)

Brilliant iron shot from Robert MacIntyre on the third but no birdie incoming for the Scot, whose putt drifts right. He never had the line there.

Justin Rose also makes a par. He already had two birdies on his card at the same stage on Saturday.

  4. DeChambeau birdies the secondpublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -14, Hovland -13 (2)

Bryson on the move. No mistake for DeChambeau with this birdie putt and he's up and running for the day.

Viktor Hovland is down in two from 44 feet for his second par of the day.

  5. Perfect start for Schauffelepublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 19 May

    Schauffele -16, Morikawa -15 (1)

First hole, first birdie of the day for Xander Schauffele after a super approach from the first cut.

Collin Morikawa can only make a par so Schauffele strikes the front first, will he be this aggressive all day?

  6. Postpublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -9 (8)

Rory McIlroy is flag hunting now.

A peach of a shot from the left side of the fairway lands him just over five feet from the hole.

Can he get his third birdie in a row?

  7. Birdie for Schefflerpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 19 May

    Scheffler -9 (10)

The world number one is starting to creep up the leader board.

He takes advantage of a well played par five tenth and leaves himself just over three feet for a second birdie in three holes.

In it drops and he moves into the top 20.

There are birdies to be had out there. It may be too little too late but Scheffler won't be giving up just yet.

  8. Theegala birdies opening hole to share leadpublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 19 May

    Theegala -15, Lowry -13 (1)

Sahith Theegala and Shane Lowry both have birdie putts on the first.

The American has a monster putt here from the best part of 60 feet but drains it to a huge cheer.

As Theegala adds his name to the top of the leaderboard, Lowry tentatively misses.

  9. Postpublished at 19:44 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -13 (1)

Oh boy. Utterly unnerved by missing that birdie putt on one, Bryson DeChambeau has played two fabulous shots down the second.

This time he's left himself three-and-a-half feet for birdie.

  10. Bogey for MacIntyrepublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 19 May

    Rose -12, MacIntyre -11 (2)

Justin Rose for birdie on the second. This needs to turn but somehow stays up. He's on revolution away from a three.

Robert MacIntyre is a tad unlucky not to land his second on the green after an almighty swish out of the left rough. His second tracks up the right side of the putting surface but he is made to pay for a poor chip on that leaves him with too much to do to save his par.

  11. Champ signs off with a 66published at 19:41 British Summer Time 19 May

    Koepka -9 (66)

Very nice round of 66 for Brooks Koepka to sign off as reigning champion - with just Saturday's spectacular third round collapse ruining his chances.

That 74 will really sting him - even just par or a couple under and he'd have been right in contention today.

  12. Back to back birdiespublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -9 (8)

That's more like it Rory McIlroy!

A lovely tee shot on the par three eighth leaves him with 13 feet to get his second birdie in a row.

It is a tester down the hill but it trickles and drops just in time to take Rory to nine under.

He still has a way to go to catch the leaders but you can never put anything past the four time major champion...

  13. Leaders tee offpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 19 May

    Schauffele -15, Morikawa -15

The leading pair get their final round underway, with Xander Schauffele send one just into the first cut down the right, and Collin Morikawa responding be finding the middle of the fairway.

Who'll come out on top today?

  14. Morikawa chasing major milestonepublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 19 May

    Morikawa -15 (19:35 BST)

Collin Morikawa has already won the US PGA Championship and The Open - that's two majors in just 17 starts. If he can make that three in 18 today he'll get there even quicker than Tiger Woods did!

  15. Pars for DeChambeau and Hovlandpublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 19 May

    DeChambeau -13, Hovland -13 (1)

A niggle of frustration for Bryson DeChambeau as his birdie putt from nine feet trickles past the hole. Chance missed.

Playing partner Viktor Hovland will probably be feeling better about par - he had the same distance to avoid a bogey and drained it.

  16. Birdie for McIlroypublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -8 (7)

    Nearly but not quite.

Another putt doesn't quite make the target for Rory McIlroy as he misses out on an eagle.

Still, it is a welcome birdie for the Norther Irishman on the par five and he is back to level par for the day - eight under for the tournament.

  17. Can Schauffele close?published at 19:31 British Summer Time 19 May

    Schauffele -15 (19:35 BST)

    Xander SchauffeleImage source, Getty Images

Xander Schauffele admitted that he hasn't been as "clutch" on Sundays when in position at big tournaments - and he's still waiting for his maiden major title.

He started the week with that sparkling 62 matching the record low in majors, but then went a bit more into his shell the next two days.

When he made a double bogey yesterday he stepped back into attack mode and made two late birdies - he may need to go all out today to pull this off, but can he force himself to take those risks?

  18. Postpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 19 May

    Theegala -14, Lowry -13 (19:25 BST)

A huge cry of 'get in the hole' as Sahith Theegala gets under way. Never mind the first is playing at 500 yards!

Anyway, the American lands on the shorter stuff but his ball runs on into the first cut. A nice soft fade from Shane Lowry onto the fairway.

  20. Postpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 19 May

    McIlroy -7 (6)

Could Rory McIlroy finally pick up his first shots of the day?

A strong second into the par five seventh has left him with a 25-footer for eagle.

If he can get it to land he would be in the red for the first time today and maybe get the momentum he desperately needs going.
