  1. AL Kim reduces Yamashita's lead to onepublished at 16:59 British Summer Time

    AL Kim -8 (13)

Miyu Yamashita's lead is down to one shot as A Lim Kim birdies the par-five 13th.

It was very nearly an eagle but her putt for a three just drifted past the cup.

    Harry E (14)

Wales' Darcey Harry drops a shot on the par-four 14th hole.

Her approach overshoots the green on and she's unable to get up and down from there.

She sits at level par and has work to do on the par-three 15th as a short and left tee shot means a pot bunker lies between herself and the green.

  3. Yamashita drops a shotpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time

    Takeda -7, Yamashita -9 (10)

Miyu Yamashita has had her lead trimmed to two shots since teeing off and finds herself in the wispy stuff on the 10th.

The 23-year-old finds the heart of the green with her second and gives her long-range birdie attempt every chance with plenty of pace.

That hurries past the hole and she then slides the return past, which means she'll drop another shot.

Rio Takeda cuts her iron shot in to get a decent look at birdie but can't quite get the read up the slope.

  4. Lee bogeys 16thpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time

    A Lee -7, Y Liu -2 (16)

Despite making a dog's dinner of getting on to the green at the 16th Andrea Lee has a chance to save par.

Her putt looks good but just kisses the lip of the hole and refuses to drop in.

A second bogey of the day for the American but she's still in striking distance of the lead.

  5. Woad misses birdie chancepublished at 16:51 British Summer Time

    Woad -2, Khang -6 (15)

Lottie Woad thuds her putter into the turf on the green at the 15th hole.

Yes, you guessed it. Another missed birdie chance for the 21-year-old.

Had Woad managed to putt all these chances she would be six or seven under.

  6. Rhodes slips backpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time

    Rhodes -3 (17)

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at Royal Porthcawl

England’s Mimi Rhodes was four under for the day until she made her first bogey of the round on the tough 16th.

She then comes up short on 17 and looks distinctly unimpressed as her chip creeps on to the front of the green.

Next comes an overhit putt, with Rhodes holing a lengthy return to escape with bogey.

She is back to three under for the tournament, seven shots off the lead.

  7. Yamashita still in control at the turnpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time

    Takeda -7, Yamashita -10 (9)

Urgh, that does not look great as Miyu Yamashita shunts her second into the long stuff on the ninth but makes a wonderful recovery to land on the green.

She'll have a long putt for birdie which she judges well for pace but does not convert. A par is a decent result though, given her earlier detours to the rough.

Rio Takeda made double bogey on the ninth in round one, eagled it on Friday and now has a birdie putt, which lips out. That was a golden opportunity to get a shot back on her compatriot.

  8. Postpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time

    AL Kim -7 (12)

South Korea's former US Women's Open winner A Lim Kim is putting together a neat round.

She's bogey-free through 12 holes and a fourth birdie of the day at the par-three 12th gets her to seven under, alongside Rio Takeda.

  9. 'I feel like I can do it tomorrow'published at 16:40 British Summer Time

    Katsu -6 (65)

Japan's Minami Katsu shot 65 today, the joint-lowest round of the week, to move into a share of fourth place alongside England's Charley Hull.

Asked about her position in the tournament now, having been 12 shots off the lead at the start of play, she said: "I'm definitely in good contention right now.

"Obviously I didn't reach the top [of the leaderboard] but I still have another round tomorrow.

"If I can continue the same golf I did today, I feel like I can do it tomorrow."

  10. Lee saves parpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time

    A Lee -8, Y Liu -3 (15)

Andrea Lee does well to save par on the 15th having initially found the bunker, but she then drags her tee shot on the next hole into the rough.

Once again Lee curses in frustration.

If they had a swear box on the course, the American would be emptying her pockets.

  11. Bogey for Kordapublished at 16:38 British Summer Time

    Korda -1 (14)

Scratch that post from 16:19. Nelly Korda drops back to one under with a bogey on the 14th. It has been such a frustrating day for the American.

  12. 'I've got nothing to lose, have I?'published at 16:33 British Summer Time

    Hull -6 (66)

England's Charley Hull spoke to the media after her six-under round of 66 today:

"I hit it in the bunker on the first and made a good up and down there. Then I just made birdies when I gave myself an opportunity to make a birdie, apart from the last hole.

"I just kind of enjoy chasing. It's quite fun. I like it. It's more fun that way.

"I like hunting someone down. It was good fun, [we'll] see what she [Miyu Yamashita] does this afternoon and just focus again tomorrow."

Asked if she will "go for it" on Sunday: "Yeah, 100%. I've got nothing to lose, have I?"

  13. Woad saves parpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time

    Woad -2, Khang -6 (13)

Lottie Woad produces her best putt of the round so far, holding her nerve from about 15 feet, to save par following that penalty drop.

Can that give her some momentum to finish strongly.

Megan Khang, meanwhile, has back-to-back birdies and is climbing up the leaderboard.

  15. Birdie for Takedapublished at 16:24 British Summer Time

    Takeda -7, Yamashita -10 (8)

What a shot that is. Miyu Yamashita is a bunker that looks more like a prison than a sand trap on the par-three eighth but scoops her second out to become a gimme third.

    Par saved.

A short birdie chance awaits Rio Takeda, who has rallied since dropping shots on the first and fourth holes. In it drops.

  16. Lee into the sandpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time

    A Lee -8, Y Liu -3 (14)

Andrea Lee just misses a birdie on the 14th, tapping for par.

Her tee shot on the par-three 15th ends up in the bunker and she blasts out a swear word.

  17. Penalty drop for Woadpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time

    Woad -2, Khang -5 (12)

Lottie Woad opts for the penalty drop, and then chips on to the green. She has work to do to save par, though.

  18. Birdie for Kordapublished at 16:19 British Summer Time

    Korda -2 (13)

    Nelly KordaImage source, PA Media

Could Nelly Korda get herself within striking distance? The two-time major winner drops in a second birdie in three holes and all of a sudden looks like she might be back in business after a stuttering start to this round.

  19. Woad in the bushes...againpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time

    Woad -2, Khang -5 (12)

Uh oh. Lottie Woad hits her second shot at the 13th hole beyond the rough and into some gorse bushes.

A similar situation brought her a triple bogey yesterday. Hopefully there is a slightly better lie this time.

  20. Postpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time

    Takeda -6, Yamashita -10 (7)

Rio Takeda and Miyu Yamashita are both putting for birdie from an almost identical position up on the sixth green.

The leader Yamashita is up first but her putt straightens up left of the cup and slides past. Takeda, who got a free read from her Japanese compatriot, does exactly the same with her effort.
