    Hull -6, Spitz +3 (16)

Charley Hull saves par again at the very difficult 16th - and once more there is a loud cheer from the gallery.

There is more good news for Hull, as she now turns for home and the wind will be with her on the final two holes of the day.

  3. Hull saves parpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hull -6, Spitz +3 (16)

A vital par save for Charley Hull on the 16th as she recovers well from a poor approach shot.

Hull is chuckling to herself as she makes her way to the tee on the penultimate hole.

Her body language looks much happier than yesterday.

  4. Bogey for Hallpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hall -5 (14)

Georgia Hall needs two attempts to get out of the greenside bunker on the 14th.

She didn't have the easiest stance for her first try and was unable to get her ball up quick enough to escape.

The second go is much better, leaving about five feet for bogey.

  5. Korda struggling with her putterpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 2 August

    Korda -1 (9)

Nelly Korda must have had at least five birdie putts and none have dropped. And her attempt from around 12 feet on the ninth is another.

From tee to green she has been exemplary.

  6. Takeda saves parpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 2 August

    Takeda -7, Yamashita -11 (3)

Rio Takeda finds more trouble down the right of the par-four third.

The 22-year-old is wayward off the tee and then punts her second into the sand. A beautiful splash out to two feet should mean a par though, which is quite a result.

Miyu Yamashita will be putting for birdie and gives it plenty as it races up from the lower tier and just nips past the cup.

  7. Woad yet to firepublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 2 August

    Woad -1, Khang -2 (8)

Lottie Woad is still searching for a spark after another par on the eighth.

The 21-year-old misses yet another birdie chance, from about eight feet, before tapping in.

Woad curses and then thumps the head of her putter in frustration.

  8. Harry slips backpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 2 August

    Harry +1 (6)

Darcey Harry made a bit of a mess of the par-five sixth hole, sadly.

She was left off the tee in some thick rough, found the rough again with her second and narrowly avoided a greenside gorse bush with her third.

It takes two chips and two putts to finish up from there with a double-bogey seven which moves her back to one over.

  9. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hall -6 (13)

It was the 14th hole that halted Charley Hull's momentum a few minutes ago and it might be about to do the same for Georgia Hall.

Her second shot finds the bunker at the front edge of the green and it'll be a tough par save from there.

  10. Postpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 2 August

    Takeda -7, Yamashita -11 (2)

Rio Takeda's birdie putt drifts from left to right and diverts past the cup. What a great bounce-back that could have been.

Another par for the leader Miyu Yamashita, who has made a solid rather than spectacular start to her third round.

  11. Postpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hull -6, Spitz +3 (15)

Charley Hull is in the midst of a very demanding stretch on this golf course.

The Englishwoman has a massive gallery walking it with her - the biggest I have seen so far this week.

After bogey on 14, that excellent par save on 15 prompts a big cheer from the fans.

  12. Another birdie for Rhodespublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 2 August

    Rhodes -5 (10)

England's Mimi Rhodes registers her fourth birdie of the day at the 10th to join the group at five under par, six shots off the lead.

This is turning into a fine Women's Open debut for the 23-year-old.

  13. Hull saves parpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hull -6, Spitz +3 (15)

Brilliant from England's Charley Hull on the 15th.

Hull chips out of the bunker to leave herself a makeable putt for par, and duly sinks it.

  14. Hall gets to six underpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hall -6 (13)

Consecutive birdies at 12 and 13 for England's Georgia Hall, who is six under for her round now and in a share of third place with Charley Hull.

  15. Hull bogeys 14thpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 2 August

    Gah.

Charley Hull bends her knees in frustration after she fails to save par on the 14th.

Hull recovered well from a wayward tee shot but ultimately drops a shot after tricky putt whizzes just past the hole to give her a first blemish on the scorecard.

Hull then finds the bunker with her tee shot on the par-three 15th and is battling to save par again.

  17. Woad squanders birdie chancepublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 2 August

    Woad -1, Khang -2 (5)

A couple of practice putts for Lottie Woad, but once again she misses a birdie opportunity.

The 21-year-old skims the edge of the hole then bleats out an expletive.

    Par it is.

  18. Takeda bogeys first holepublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 2 August

    Takeda -7, Yamashita -11 (1)

Rio Takeda takes a driver off the first tee and booms her ball down the left into a fairway bunker. She can only chunk her second out into the rough mind and then plays a difficult third onto the green.

Her putt for par breaks right and pulls up slightly short of the cup meaning it'll be a bogey start for the world number 12.

The big dog is also out for Miyu Yamashita, who finds the heart of the fairway and then zips her second on to the green.

Stress-free stuff from the leader, who rolls up to gimme range before snaffling her par.

  19. Woad eyes birdie chancepublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 2 August

    Woad -1, Khang -2 (4)

A delicious chip on to the green at the fifth from Lottie Woad leaves the ball about 10 feet from the pin. This is a really good birdie opportunity.

After a couple of false starts, a chance for Woad to really get her round up and running.

  20. Another birdie chance goes begging for Kordapublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 2 August

    Korda -1 (6)

Another birdie putt goes begging for Nelly Korda, this time on the sixth. The American's flat stick has got ice on it at present.
