  1. Woad grabs par on the secondpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 2 August

    Woad -1, Khang -1 (2)

A routine par at the second to settle the nerves of young Lottie Woad.

The 21-year-old had a decent shout at birdie putt but her radar was just a fraction off and she returns to slide in at the second attempt.

  3. Ko shoots two underpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 2 August

    Ko E (70)

Defending Women's Open champion Lydia Ko really had it going at one stage in her third round.

Ko, who represents New Zealand, was three under for her round standing on the 17th tee - but a double bogey there was an unwanted blemish on her card.

She recovered to birdie the last for a round of 70, but it's almost certain that her title reign will end on Sunday.

  4. Korda scrambles to save parpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 2 August

    Korda -1 (3)

Nelly Korda looks far from thrilled as she shunts her tee shot right on the third.

Her second fares no better, spilling into the front right bunker guarding the green but she makes a scrambling up and down to save her par.

  5. Bogey for Harry on firstpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 2 August

    Harry -1 (1)

It’s a tricky start for Darcey Harry, who finds the bunker with her tee shot on the first.

It’s not a bad lie and she’s able to get out towards the green to leave an up-and-down for par.

The chip is lovely and leads to cheers from the gallery.

The subsequent putt lips out, though, and she drops a shot to move back to one under.

  6. Hull continues to attackpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hull -5, Spitz +1 (10)

After a relatively low-key round yesterday Charley Hull has really upped the ante today.

Hull attacks with her putt at the 10th seeking a sixth birdie, but sees the ball just miss the hole.

She taps in for par. Can Hull get herself in striking distance of the top of the leaderboard by the end of the day?

The first tee was packed to the rafters to see Darcey Harry head out at the start of her round.

But it is a fair bit quieter now as a large number of fans have gone to follow the Welshwoman.

The following is quite something for Harry, who is playing at the weekend in a major for the first time.

  8. English duo Hall and Rhodes into top 10published at 13:52 British Summer Time 2 August

It's not just Charley Hull who is making upward progress on the leaderboard on "moving day".

Fellow English pair Georgia Hall and Mimi Rhodes are into the top 10 after fast starts.

Hall, the 2018 Women's Open champion, has carded birdies on four, six and seven to get to three under par for the tournament.

Rhodes, a three-time winner on the European Tour this year, is two under after four holes today to join Hall at three under overall.

  9. World number one Korda drops a shotpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 2 August

    Korda -1 (2)

Nelly Korda says "wow" as she misjudges her approach into the second.

The American misses the bump down the right and her ball holds its course and runs off the right edge.

Her chip on to the putting surface surprisingly pulls up short and her par putt is a tentative effort from five or six feet, that catches the left of the cup but trickles on.

Korda finished in a tie for second place behind Lydia Ko at St Andrews last year and, although she ended her second round nine shots off the lead, the world number one is in the hunt for a first Women's Open title - albeit she may need a little encouragement from the leading duo.

She has finished in the top 15 in five of the past six editions of the Women's Open.

  10. Woad starts with a bogeypublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 2 August

Lottie Woad overhits her approach to the green on the first and ends up in the sand.

She manages to get out of the bunker, but needs two putts to finish the hole.

A bogey to start for Woad, and it's a similar story for playing partner Megan Khang.

The crowds are out in full force to cheer on home hope Darcey Harry as she steps out onto the first tee.

There are a few Welsh flags waving in the grandstand behind her as she prepares to tee off alongside Germany’s Esther Henseleit.

She starts the day on two under after an impressive showing so far in her debut at this tournament.

  12. Fifth birdie for Hullpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 2 August

    Hull -5, Spitz +1 (9)

England's Charley Hull ends a blistering front nine with another birdie.

Hull went close to an eagle with a putt in excess of 30 feet but the ball just curled away from the hole.

She comfortably slides in a short putt on the par five to go five under.

  13. Wales' Harry targets top-10 finishpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 2 August

    Harry -2 (13:45 BST)

Two Welsh players began the Women's Open and while qualifier Lydia Hall narrowly missed out on making the cut, Darcey Harry did make it through to the final two rounds.

A bit more than that, too - she was in the top 10 at the halfway mark after rounds of 70 and 72.

Staying in that top 10 is her main target for the weekend.

  15. Solid start for Kordapublished at 13:34 British Summer Time 2 August

    Korda -2 (1)

Nelly Korda creams her drive down the first, so much so that it carries some 260 yards or so and runs off the fairway into a horrible lie where the fans cross.

The world number one is in full attack mode though and zips her second onto the dance floor but the pushes her birdie putt right.

  16. Woad tees offpublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 2 August

    Woad -2, Khang -2

Lottie Woad smiles as she gets a warm welcome from fans at the first tee.

The 21-year-old gets her third round under way with a solid drive down the fairway.

Woad's playing partner is American Megan Khang.

  17. How have the early starters got on?published at 13:31 British Summer Time 2 August

    Pretty well, actually...

Women's PGA Championship winner Minjee Lee has the lowest round of the day so far, with just one bogey in her four-under-par round of 68.

Defending champion Lydia Ko and Chevron Championship winner Mao Saigo are three under and four under for the day respectively on their back nines.

And Charley Hull is charging! She has picked up birdies in four of her first eight holes today, meaning she's tied for third spot.

The forecast suggests there might be a little more wind this afternoon compared with this morning, so maybe that might bring the leaders a bit closer to the chasing pack?
