  1. Theegala triples threepublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg +1, Spieth +7, Theegala +5 (3)

The 350-yard par-four third is driveable in the right conditions. Most players thump a driver up as far as they can, leaving a short chip up to the elevated green.

Jordan Spieth and Ludvig Aberg are both on in two, but both miss left-to-right curlers from a dozen feet or so.

But spare a thought for Sahith Theegala. He thumped his drive up there too but his ball found sand. His first effort came spinning back off the green. His second effort came tumbling back to his feet. And his third... he finally found the green with his fourth chip, his fifth shot... but two more putts were required and out of nowhere, that's a triple-bogey seven!

Not many players can divert attention away from Tiger Woods, but Jason Day managed it with his Friday fit.

The Australian's threads are big news at Augusta this week, and he pulled out the big guns with this sweater for his second round.

Now, some have said he should be thrown out of the tournament for wearing this, but we're not that judgemental, we'll let the people decide.

So vote with your thumbs, are you a fan of this fashion statement or should the fashion police get involved?

  3. Postpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -7 (4)

Our new co-leader Max Homa has the honour after hitting the jackpot on the fourth, but pulls his drive left into the sand.

Splash! Tiger Woods follows him in there. How social.

With Jason Day sitting pretty on the fairway, Homa clips out safely and short of the green.

  4. A perfect triopublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 12 April

    DeChambeau -7 (16:54 BST)

Bryson DeChambeau started hot on day one with three birdies on the bounce, can he make another fast start today?

  5. Bogey for Woodspublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -7 (4)

It gives, it takes. Don't make Augusta angry.

Fresh from a birdie on the third, Tiger Woods misses the green on the par-three four and he is punished.

Back to one over for the 15-time major champion.

  6. Homa takes share of leadpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods E, Day +3, Homa -7 (4)

Oh my word! Max Homa lands a monster to move alongside Bryson DeChambeau at the top of the leaderboard.

Homa clenches a fist in celebration and wags a finger at his caddie as a thank you.

A great read is followed by great execution.

That's two birdies at the start of this second round for 33-year-old Homa, who has not found Augusta easy going to this point of his career.

  7. Three parspublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 12 April

    Johnson +6, Morikawa -1, Fleetwood E (1)

Safe to say Dustin Johnson won't be adding a second Green Jacket to his wardrobe this week after his poor first round, but he's started his second with a par just like his playing partners.

Tommy Fleetwood hasn't had long to dwell on his careless bogey-bogey finish to his first round, which is probably a good thing, and it's a solid enough start to round two for him.

  8. Postpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hatton E (5)

Tyrrell Hatton almost sinks to his knees on the fifth green as his birdie putt from 15 feet dives left away from the hole at the death.

The Englishman was coming off a bogey on the par-three fourth after leaving a chip woefully short and failing to hole the 30-footer.

  9. Can Willett back up his superb opening round?published at 16:25 British Summer Time 12 April

    Willett -4 (16:30 BST)

Who expected Danny Willett to be near the top of the leaderboard after round one?

Don't even think about pressing the thumbs up.

    Even the 36-year-old Englishman didn't.

On Sunday, the 2016 champion still wasn't sure if he would even play as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery in September.

Play he did and he played extraordinarily well.

Two late birdies helped Willett card a four-under 68 yesterday to take the early clubhouse lead.

"I've been sat at home watching TV for six months and watching guys play golf. So it was nice to finally be among it and it's good to be back," he said.

  10. Aberg and Spieth collect birdiespublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg E, Spieth +7, Theegala +2 (2)

Ludvig Aberg is fractionally through the back of the second green in two, so he's got a chip and a putt to pick up a shot.

An 8/10 chip from the Swede leaves him with a five-footer for birdie.

Meanwhile, playing partner Sahith Theegala misses his from double that distance but Jordan Spieth claws back that shot he dropped at the first.

And Aberg drops his putt into the hole too. He's back level.

  11. Birdie for Woodspublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods E, Day +3, Homa -6 (3)

One of this group can convert their birdie putt... and the roar tells you it is Tiger Woods.

With the wind whipping up, the breeze gets into the heads of Max Homa and Jason Day as they miss.

Let's see what Tiger can do... calm and confident. Back level pegging.

Woods is aiming to make the Masters cut for a record 24th consecutive time, remember.

The five-time champion has barely played competitive golf since having ankle surgery last April after withdrawing in the third round of last year's Masters.

  12. Another one goes for Nicolaipublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hojgaard -3 (6)

Sliding down the leaderboard is Nicolai Hojgaard. Successive bogeys for the Dane who can't hole a par saver from 10 feet on the par-three sixth.

  13. Postpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -6 (2)

This ensemble trio are all on the third green with a sniff of a birdie.

A classic short par four which coughs up lots of chances could be breached again by Woods, Homa and Day.

  14. Latest leaderboardpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 12 April

    -7 DeChambeau (16:54 BST)

    -6 Homa (2), Scheffler (18:48 BST)

    -4 Hojgaard (5), Pavon (4), Young (3), Willett (16:30 BST),

    -3 Davis (10), Fox (17:24 BST)

  15. Stat attack - Who can win from here?published at 16:06 British Summer Time 12 April

Masters Green JacketImage source, Getty Images

You don't get too many players making a big surge after a disappointing first round at Augusta National, as the stats show.

According to recent trends, only 13 players can now win the Masters as each of the last 18 winners ended the first round in a tie for 11th place or higher - and that leaves 13 contenders after round one here.

If you wanted to try and narrow it down even further, the last 10 Masters champions have an opening round average score of 68 - and playing to that average then only Bryson DeChambeau, Scottie Scheffler, Max Homa, Nicolai Hojgaard and Danny Willett, who all shot 68 or better, stand a chance of slipping that Green Jacket on come Sunday.

  16. Hojgaard bogeypublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hojgaard -4 (5)

Oh wow. I'd given Nicolai Hojgaard his par on the fifth. He had no more than two feet to nudge in. But this is not a Monday roll-up with your mates with pick-up gimmes.

Every ball needs holing. And Nicolai missed. Bogey. Clumsy. From both of us.

  17. Spieth dropping againpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg +1, Spieth +8, Theegala +2 (1)

Back on the first and Jordan Spieth is almost hacking like a high-handicapper. He's nudged his second short of the green but a straightforward chip from 15 yards zips a dozen feet past the cup.

From the middle of the fairway, Ludvig Aberg is wild with his second, missing the green to the right but his chip back at least threatens the hole.

Spieth's par putt wanders wide to the left and that's another shot gone.

Sahith Theegala has a birdie look but takes two from 20 feet.

  18. Birdie for Homapublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -6 (2)

Max Homa isn't leaving the green hungry, though. He's gobbled up the birdie.

The 33-year-old American, whose best finish at Augusta is tied 43rd last year, moves six under and into a share of second place.

  19. Postpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -5 (2)

Now then. Mr Woods has a look at a birdie... this will go down very well among the galleries.

About 10 feet left after chipping on from the right of the green, slightly uphill.

    Lagged it.

Tiger pulls the sort of face you'd pull when you turn up at the chippy and it is closed. Perplexed.

  20. Postpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -5 (1)

Max Homa is picking up where he left off earlier - generally, I mean, not the bogey on the last.

Two lovely shots on the par-five second leave him putting for an eagle.

The sort of putt where you would be eating your hat if the nine-time PGA Tour champion lands it... the stetson is safe.

    A birdie is on though.
