  1. Rose resumes on +1published at 13:57 British Summer Time 12 April

Justin Rose, the 2017 runner-up at Augusta, is about to get his second round going, having just got in as the hooter sounded last night.

His first-round 73 leaves the Englishman one over and with work to do to get into contention.

  2. Birdie for Homapublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods E, Day +2, Homa -5 (16)

    Here comes Maxy!

Cold as ice from Homa, who sends his birdie putt south on the 16th.

The 33-year-old American has never bust 70 at Augusta National but is now on course to do that.

He's into a share of third place with Nicolai Højgaard, two behind overnight leader Bryson DeChambeau.

For Jason Day, it was damage limitation as he walks off with a double bogey. He also did the same on the par-three fourth yesterday. Costly.

  3. Bogey trouble on 14published at 13:52 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg -1, Spieth +2 (14)

A big mistake from Ludvig Aberg on the par-four 14th. Wedge in hand after an excellent drive, the Masters rookie comes up short and his ball spins away off the front edge.

And the Swede takes three more from there to drop a shot.

Playing partner Jordan Spieth is also going backwards after missing a short par putt.

    Woods E, Day E, Homa -4 (15)

"Get in the hole!" shouts one patron* as Jason Day finds the water.

Far from ideal for the Australian.

Tiger Woods does find the green and has to steadily tease a birdie putt down the slope.

That should be enough for the par.

    Davis -3 (1)

Australian Cam Davis is the highest-placed player of those to have got their second round under way.

He has parred the first to stay at three under, tied sixth and four back from Bryson DeChambeau's lead.

  6. Hojgaard two off the pacepublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hojgaard -5 (67)

Nicolai Hojgaard's 20-footer on the last doesn't threaten the hole but it's a tap-in for par and that completes a good 45 minutes' work for the Dane.

Three holes, three pars. And he's just two back as he heads off for a quick break before heading back out for round two.

This group are more like tortoises out of the traps rather than hares. Steady as she goes.

The par-five 15th is usually a good opportunity for a birdie, but neither Woods, Homa nor Day can oblige on this visit.

    Pars all round.

    Hojgaard -5 (17)

There is a bit of a following wind up the 18th and Nicolai Hojgaard uses it well, flicking an eight-iron up on to the back shelf, which is where the hole is situated.

An outside chance of a birdie to get within one of our leader Bryson DeChambeau.

The snapper did well to catch Tiger smiling - not seen much of that from him on the course this morning.

Even almost chipping in for a birdie on the par-five 15th doesn't move Woods's neutral expression.

Jason Day, a former world number remember who has fallen on lean times after injury, can't hole his birdie putt.

    Over to Max Homa...

  10. Spieth gets one backpublished at 13:31 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg -2, Spieth +1 (13)

Another opportunity also goes begging for Ludvig Aberg who follows a missed birdie attempt on the 12th with another from similar range on the 13th.

But Jordan Spieth is moving in the right direction, knocking in his short putt for birdie.

  11. Missed opportunity for Hattonpublished at 13:28 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hatton -1 (16)

Over on the par-three 16th, Tyrrell Hatton is bubbling. He is walking after his birdie putt almost as soon as he hits it - not to follow it in to the hole, but in complete frustration at a missed opportunity to get a shot back.

He jabs in his par putt from six inches and then plucks the ball from the hole and backhands it straight into the pond in one swift movement.

    Johnson +1, Morikawa +1, Fleetwood -2 (12)

Straight into the fire for this group. They're resuming on the iconic par-three 12th.

Not one for the faint-hearted or cold-limbed.

Tommy Fleetwood knocks his tee-shot into the bunker guarded the front of the green.

But a sublime splash out leaves the Englishman with a short putt for a sandy save.

    Aberg -2, Spieth +2 (12)

The par-five 13th has a teeny-tiny stream meandering its way in front of the green. A classic risk-reward for the players contemplating what to do with their second shots.

Jordan Spieth goes for it and finds the rough just off the back. Tricky chip down and across the slope coming up.

Ludvig Aberg opts to lay up and then flicks his third to about 10 feet.

Jordan then hits a delightful chip to kick-in range.

    Hojgaard -5 (17)

Nicolai Hojgaard gives himself a good look at birdie on the par-four 17th after a fairway-finder off the tee and a green-finder with his second.

But he can't nail the putt from a dozen or so feet. Another hole safely ticked off in par though.

    Woods E, Day E, Homa -4 (14)

Steadier starts for Woods' playing mates.

Jason Day, who caused a stir by wearing baggy pants which flapped in yesterday's wind, has gone for a more streamlined approach today.

Not sure the social media sartorialists will rate his varsity-style sleeveless jumper, though.

Anyway, the 2011 runner-up resumes with a par.

As does Max Homa, who played superbly yesterday and is chasing down clubhouse leader Bryson DeChambeau.

  16. Postpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg -2, Spieth +2 (12)

A two-putt par from 10 feet for Ludvig Aberg on the 12th. His playing partner Jordan Spieth, winner in 2015, gets up and down from the front bunker to also register a three. The American needs birdies though and thankfully has the reachable par-five 13th next up.

  17. Water trouble for Tyrrellpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hatton -1 (15)

England's Tyrrell Hatton enjoyed a good opening day but he's started today with a shocker.

Hatton is prone to the odd profanity and I expect he's letting a few fly as he stalks off to the 16th tee.

A trip to the pond protecting the 15th green leads to a double-bogey seven.

  18. Bogey for Woodspublished at 13:10 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods E (14)

Ah... perhaps we spoke too soon.

Tiger Woods' second shot on the 14th is tight and tense, falling short of the green.

The temperatures are cool and Tiger's fused body needs warmth.

The chip on leaves a testy par putt - which the five-time Masters champion misses.

    Back to level par.

  19. Postpublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg -2 (11)

Swedish sensation Ludvig Aberg is at the par-three 12th. It's a much calmer morning and that makes Golden Bell a whole heap easier to navigate.

Aberg finds the dancefloor, his ball spinning back into his pitchmark and he'll have an eight-footer for birdie.

  20. Postpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 12 April

    Woods -1 (13)

Tiger Woods certainly looks stiff as he walks to his ball.

But the swing is OK and the shoulders are rotating smoothly.

That sharp morning light will help get the former world number one's circadian rhythm going.

    His drive finds the fairway.
