    Homa -5, DeChambeau -5 (14)

Max Homa lays up on 15 as he searches for his first birdie of the day, but laying up is not in Bryson DeChambeau's DNA so he has a cut at the green with a big sweeping hook, but it doesn't draw enough and his ball sails into the patrons.

He's got a lot of green to work with, sadly for him though it's all sloping away from home and is like grease lightning.

  2. Par for Fleetwoodpublished at 23:24 British Summer Time 13 April

    Fleetwood -2 (17)

After two birdies in a row for Tommy Fleetwood, he leaves the 17th green with a par after landing his second shot short.

The Birkdale golfer has played sensible golf today and will want to have a straightforward finish down the toughest hole on the course at 18.

  3. Postpublished at 23:23 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -7 (15)

"Argh," breathes Scottie Scheffler as his tee shot on the par-three 16th starts right and stays right.

It finds the heart of the green though.

  4. Postpublished at 23:22 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -2, Morikawa -6 (16)

These greens are like greased lighning. Collin Morikawa barely touches his putt and it rolls down 18-20 feet and comes to a stop right next to the cup.

Cam Davis takes note and it's the same result. Both will walk away with pars.

  5. Postpublished at 23:21 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -4 (16)

Ludvig Aberg has a run at a long birdie putt down the hill at 16 but it just slides by the left edge, and it's close enough for him to knock it in for par.

That's a nice settler after back-to-back bogeys could have resulted in things getting out of hand quickly. This young man has got plenty of mental toughness it seems though

  6. Scheffler takes outright leadpublished at 23:21 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -7, Hojgaard -2 (15)

Not quite what Scottie Scheffler had in mind as he scoots his chip onto the green left of the flag and it simply stays out left.

No matter, he's found his touch again with the putter and converts his birdie from 12 feet to complete the turnaround.

Nicolai Hojgaard's woes continue though as his approach after the drop scuttles off the back and ends up as yet another bogey. A brutal run of five straight for the Dane.

    Davis -2, Morikawa -6 (15)

Still Cam Davis' honour on the 16th and he cuts a low fade in towards the pin which runs on by 15 feet or so. You'd take that all day long/

Collin Morikawa pulls out his eight iron and takes exactly the same approach but his ball just carries on a couple of feet or so. The Australian should get a great read from this.

  8. Bryson birdiepublished at 23:14 British Summer Time 13 April

    Homa -5, DeChambeau -5 (14)

It's a spectacular view up the hill to the 14th green with the massed ranks of the patrons bathed in sunshine behind it, and both of these players reward the with two fine efforts - both pin high.

Max Homa wins closest to the pin, but Bryson DeChambeau goes first and drains his putt from 20 feet.

  9. Postpublished at 23:14 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -6, Hojgaard -3 (14)

Oh poor Nicolai Hojgaard. He's found the water on the par-five 15th now.

    What has happened?

No such trouble for Scottie Scheffler who skips his second shot over the hazard and onto the green. It takes one bounce and rolls slightly off the back but it's a fine place to be plotting progress from.

  10. Postpublished at 23:13 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -2, Morikawa -6 (15)

Collin Morikawa to head the leaderboard on his own...he strikes his putt firmly, perhaps too firmly and it catches the left lip of the cup and squirms away. Just a par.

  11. Postpublished at 23:08 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -2, Morikawa -6 (14)

Collin Morikawa is having a long debate with his caddie Jonathan Jakovac over on the 15th.

He plucks a blade of grass or two from the fairway to check the wind and then goes to work.

The American flights his ball right and it comes down and grips the green before snaking back towards the cup to leave a birdie putt of eight feet or so. Delicious.

  12. Another shot gone for Abergpublished at 23:07 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -4 (15)

That's a six from nowhere for Ludvig Aberg, who leaves his third shot still short of the green as he had no real margin for error and did not want to go long.

He's then tentative with his fourth to get onto the green, and the par save putt isn't the most confident stroke either.

Augusta looks so nice right now, but it's a brute.

These greens have really dried up now and are lightning quick, as both Bryson DeChambeau and Max Homa have found out on 13 when faced with scary downhill putts.

They both barely breath on the ball and they shoot off down the slope leaving real testers coming back - Homa making his for par and DeChambeau missing his for birdie.

Those two were like putting on a marble staircase and trying to stop it on the second to last step. Tricky.

    Scheffler -6 (14)

The moment Scottie Scheffler got his tournament back on track.

  15. Scheffler pars 14 as Hojgaard fadespublished at 23:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -6, Hojgaard -3 (14)

Augusta National has picked Nicolai Hojgaard up and spat him out.

After leading at seven under on the 11th tee, he now has four bogeys in a row as his long par putt falls short.

Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler has a chance from 20 feet and paces it perfectly, only slightly off line. He stays tied at the top.

  16. Davis claws a shot backpublished at 23:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -2, Morikawa -6 (14)

Collin Morikawa was the sole leader a few minutes back but surely he heard that roar from Scottie Scheffler's eagle.

If he did, it doesn't show mind despite overshooting the 14th green. A delicate little chip back leaves a four footer for par which he duly dispatches.

That's six on the spin for Morikawa, who has finished in fifth and in a tie for 10th over his last two years here.

Cameron Davis, who is yet to have a top-10 finish on the PGA Tour this season, repairs some of the damage from the previous four holes with a birdie.

  17. Fleetwood makes latest birdiepublished at 23:00 British Summer Time 13 April

    Fleetwood -2 (16)

Welcome to the party, Tommy Fleetwood.

After finally making a birdie on the 15th, he's produced another magnificent shot into the 16th green.

Seven feet for birdie? No problem - and he's up to two under.

  18. Postpublished at 22:57 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -5 (14)

Whatever the Swedish is for full send, that's just what Ludvig Aberg has given to his second shot on 15, which is a cracker but just doesn't hold the green, and he'll have a tricky pitch across the slope coming up.

He's smiling as he walks down the fairway. He's in his first Masters, scratch that, his first major, and he's in contention, and he's smiling...

    Homa -5, DeChambeau -4 (12)

    Bryson DeChambeauImage source, Getty Images

Bryson DeChambeau's not messing about now on 13, unloading on another huge drive, then probably hitting just a seven iron or so from 196 yards and firing onto the green to leave an eagle putt.

    Aggressive.

    Scheffler -6 (13)

After that eagle putt, this misery on the 10th hole is a distant memory for Scottie Scheffler.
