Tiger Woods is not one for mincing his words, chatting to the media he's asked about his biggest challenge today and he says: "The fact that I was not hitting it very good or putting well. I didn't have a very good warm-up session, and I kept it going all day today.

"Just hit the ball in all the places that I know I shouldn't hit it. And I missed a lot of putts. Easy, makable putts. I missed a lot of them.

Asked about his lack of golf coming into the Masters he adds: "I wouldn't say necessarily mental reps. It's just that I haven't competed and played much. When I had chances to get it flipped around and when I made that putt at five, I promptly three-putted six and flub a chip at seven and just got it going the wrong way. When I had opportunities to flip it, I didn't."

Woods, who admitted that playing 23 holes on Friday had taken its toll physically, added: "My team will get me ready. It will be a long night and a long warm-up session, but we'll be ready [for Sunday]".

  2. Fleetwood birdies 15published at 22:53 British Summer Time 13 April

    Fleetwood -1 (15)

Finally a bit of joy for Tommy Fleetwood after masterminding a dazzling approach on the 15th.

He's sent a dazzling approach to a mere two feet. No putting issues as he taps home and gives a brief wave to the applauding crowd.

Not been his day on the greens but at one under, he's still not out of this tournament.

  3. Another bogey for Hojgaardpublished at 22:51 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hojgaard -4 (13)

Nicolai Hojgaard has to watch as Scottie Scheffler does his thing.

He's onto the putting surface after finding the drink but he doesn't know these greens and leaves himself 40 feet to save par.

Not this time. Remember those three birdies he made in a row? He's just gone bogey-bogey-bogey and dropped two shots behind his playing partner.

  4. Scheffler makes fabulous eagle puttpublished at 22:49 British Summer Time 13 April

What a response from Scottie Scheffler!

The crowd are on their feet around the 13th green as he drains in a putt from 31 feet.

Two fist pumps from the world number one - he's suddenly back on top!

  5. Hiccup for Homapublished at 22:47 British Summer Time 13 April

    Homa -5, DeChambeau -4 (12)

Max Homa cards something other than a par for the first time today - but sadly for him it's a bogey as the 12th does for him as well.

He also went long, also left himself a 10-footer for par after a heavy chip, and also missed, just like DeChambeau, to drop his first shot of the day.

  6. Fitz closes over parpublished at 22:45 British Summer Time 13 April

    Fitzpatrick +1 (73)

Matt Fitzpatrick has just finished up at 18 and it's a messy hole from the Yorkshireman.

In the fairway bunker off the tee, he left himself too much to do with a 40-footer to save par.

It pulls up short, he taps home a bogey and finishes with a second straight round of 73.

  7. Error from Abergpublished at 22:44 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -5 (14)

Ludvig Aberg is the latest man to back out of the lead after that mistake with a wedge on 14 gave him a tough up and down.

His putter has bailed him out a couple of times but not this time and no sooner had he joined the leading group he's dropped right back out again.

  8. Another Bryson bogeypublished at 22:43 British Summer Time 13 April

    Homa -6, DeChambeau -4 (12)

Bryson DeChambeau's round is pretty much summing up the way it's going for everyone in contention at the Masters right now, as he makes a bogey on the 12th.

He's now gone birdie-bogey-birdie-bogey and his head must be spinning. He won't be the only one though.

  9. Postpublished at 22:43 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -1, Morikawa -6 (13)

Collin Morikawa is not going anywhere at present. Pars on the 12th and 13th keep right up at the top of the leaderboard looking back at the likes of Scottie Scheffler.

And had his birdie putt just dropped things would be looking even better for the two-time major winner.

Cam Davis looks on a slippery slope at present mind with a run of double bogey, bogey, par and bogey in the last four holes with a trip into the tributary to Rae's Creek on the 13th far from helping his cause.

  10. Postpublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -4, Hojgaard -5 (12)

Scottie Scheffler's a pretty chill guy but even he must be feeling a bit hot under the collar after those three dropped shots.

The par-five 13th offers a chance to pull at least one back and he's on the green in two as he searches for a response.

As for Nicolai Hojgaard, he tries to follow suit but one bounce off the creek bank and his ball is gobbled up by the creek. More problems for the man who two holes ago was leading the Masters.

  11. Schauffele closes in on leaderspublished at 22:39 British Summer Time 13 April

    Schauffele -2 (70)

Out of the glare of the leaders, Xander Schauffele has been going along quite nicely.

He's just finished up a round of 70 with a fine putt to save par at the last and has quietly moved into the top seven.

Invariably at majors, he finds himself contending. If the topsy-turvy jostling continues above him, he may still be in with a shout tomorrow.

    Homa -6, DeChambeau -5 (11)

The 12th is just flat out bamboozling everyone - as Bryson DeChambeau goes off the back and than hammers a putt back across the green and almost off it the other side.

We've seen that movie a few times today.

  13. Postpublished at 22:34 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -6 (13)

He's not a swashbuckler as such, but Ludvig Aberg is not scared to attack, as he does from the 14th fairway and it's so very nearly a stunner.

But that yard he's hit it just too far sees his ball topple off the back of the green.

  14. Postpublished at 22:33 British Summer Time 13 April

    Fleetwood E (14)

If you're wondering how Tommy Fleetwood is doing, he's still getting into half decent positions then finding his luck is out on the greens.

His latest birdie attempt at 14 lips out and he stays at even par.

  15. Bogey for Brysonpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 13 April

    Homa -6, DeChambeau -5 (11)

Bryson DeChambeau hands a shot right back after a birdie on the last, and it's the putter that's to blame this time as he three-putts following getting a break and not going into the water.

He's fuming as he strides off the green, his golf ball will feel that on his next tee shot.

  16. Postpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hojgaard -5 (12)

This was the exciting moment Nicolai Hojgaard found himself leading the Masters.

It's been pretty tough for the debutant since then.

  17. Leaderboard - four-way tie at the toppublished at 22:31 British Summer Time 13 April

  18. Scheffler pars while Hojgaard bogeys 12published at 22:31 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -4, Hojgaard -5 (12)

In the past half hour we have found Scottie Scheffler is human but he's found a way to stem the bleeding after chipping off the fringe and slotting in from four feet on the 12th.

Amen Corner clearly did not like Nicolai Hojgaard's gumption to move to the top - he's walking off the 12th after a second consecutive bogey and now he's one behind the leaders..

  19. Aberg joins the leaderspublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -6 (13)

Ludvig Aberg grabs a birdie on the par-five 13th to move to six under a also grab a share of the lead.

It's a crafted birdie as the young Swede lays up then plays a low, fizzing, spinning wedge shot that skips on and stands to attention nice and close for him to roll in his putt for a four.

  20. Postpublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -4, Hojgaard -6 (11)

The 12th is one of the most nerve-jangling tee shots on tour but both Nicolai Hojgaard and Scottie Scheffler make it safely over Rae's Creek.

Neither is in great shape, Hojgaard in the bushes at the back and the world number one out in the fringe too.

Scheffler has not found the green on this hole in all three rounds so far this week.
