  1. Morikawa back within one of the leadpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -5, Morikawa -6 (8)

Collin Morikawa is in great shape on the eighth. Just off the front edge as he tries to give himself a decent look at birdie with his third.

It's a little chip and run, he could do with applying the brakes to that as it skips on past the pin but he should still be within eight feet.

Now where's this going...? Right in the heart of the cup.

Cameron Davis' third also into seven or eight feet also does the job, with the Australian rolling in to get back to five under.

I mentioned Shane Lowry's magical moment earlier.

  3. Latest leaderboardpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 13 April

Not too much movement on the leaderboard in the past half an hour or so...

  4. Postpublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -4, Morikawa -5 (7)

It's as you were for Collin Morikawa and Cameron Davis, who both start their birdie putts off too far right on the seventh green.

  5. Woods & Hatton make birdiespublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 13 April

    Woods +7 Hatton E (13)

There is honestly no other player in the world who could attract a cheer like that for a birdie to get back to seven OVER par.

Tiger Woods has a huge amount of credit in the bank mind and is showing those that have stuck with him that he is not intent on folding as he drains a putt from eight feet.

Tyrrell Hatton moves back to two under for today as he picks up his second birdie of the week on the 13th.

  6. Fitzpatrick stays at level parpublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 13 April

    Fitzpatrick E (12)

We've not seen much of Matt Fitzpatrick this round as he's been quietly navigating his way around Augusta National.

He gives himself a birdie look at 12 and reads the break well but his putt rolls inches by the cup.

He stays level for the day - and the tournament.

  7. Hit it Homa!published at 21:09 British Summer Time 13 April

    Homa -6, DeChambeau -5 (6)

    Max HomaImage source, Getty Images

Almost the putt of the week from Max Homa, who has 40 feet for birdie and sends his ball tracking bang on line 39 feet and about 10 inches before it agonisingly runs out of juice.

Bryson DeChambeau matches his par with a so-so putt that never threatened the hole.

  8. Postpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -7, Hojgaard -4 (6)

It wasn't quite the straightforward shot into the green I expected for Scottie Scheffler.

He's gone a bit too hard and watches nervously as his ball clings on desperately to the back of the green.

A birdie putt incoming - but 25 feet is further than he anticipated and it doesn't quite drop for him.

Nicolai Hojgaard is sticking with it. He's made another par to remain three back.

  9. Postpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -7 (6)

In theory, the narrow seventh fairway is tough to find off the tee but Scottie Scheffler has flushed his drive plumb straight.

He'll have a 140-yard second shot to find the green. I'd expect him to knock that in tight.

  11. Steady from Smithpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 13 April

    Smith -2 (9)

Australia's Cameron Smith reaches the turn at one under for the day and no blemishes on his card thus far.

The erstwhile Open champion can possibly still get within reach of the leaders if he can string some birdies together on the back nine.

  12. Postpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 13 April

    Homa -6, DeChambeau -5 (5)

Bryson DeChambeau manages to stop his ball on the sixth pin high, when many players have seen their attempts roll off the back if they've thrown it all the way back there from 180 yards.

Helps that Bryson only needs a nine iron...

  13. Postpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 13 April

    Woods +8 Hatton +1 (12)

Tiger Woods looks resigned to his fate. Having overshot the green on the 12th he clips back on but then doesn't have quite enough juice on his putt to save par.

No joy for Tyrrell Hatton either who takes two to escape the front bunker and fritters away a shot.

  14. Postpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -4, Pavon E (7)

Still lurking with intent on the leaderboard is Ludwig Aberg.

And he's still striking the ball sweetly.

Back-to-back pars on six and seven keep the 24-year-old Swede - making his major debut, remember - well in contention.

Not so good news for his playing partner. Matthieu Pavon goes bogey-birdie-bogey to drop back to level par.

  15. Steady Scheffler makes par at sixpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -7, Hojgaard -4 (6)

Another look at birdie for Scottie Scheffler on six albeit from 25 feet and this time he's given it too much. The ball races past the hole and he faces 10 feet to save par.

It's dead straight though and Scheffler confidently strokes it home.

Playing partner Nicolai Hojgaard played a fine tee shot to give himself that same distance for birdie but he misses and also takes a three.

  16. Postpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 13 April

    Davis -4, Morikawa -5 (6)

It takes six holes but Collin Morikawa makes his first mistakes of the day.

His tee shot on the sixth slips off the green and down the bank and he can't scramble a par from there.

  17. 'Bit sour not being in contention'published at 20:52 British Summer Time 13 April

    Rahm +5 (72)

    Jon RahmImage source, Getty Images

Jon Rahm shot his best round of the tournament with a level-par 72 today, but he's Masters defence will end with somewhat of a whimper tomorrow.

And perhaps worst of all, Rahm has to hang around tomorrow to slip on the Green Jacket to whoever succeeds him as Masters champion. He's that far back he may even pop home as he'll be finished so early on Sunday.

"I mean, worse case I'll be a part of the ceremony," said Rahm. "I'll be there.

"I don't know if I'll go back home or not, but obviously going to have to come back and get ready at some point. Bit of a sour feeling knowing you're not in contention."

  18. Postpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -7 (5)

Not to be for Scottie Scheffler as he lags his 14-footer to the left of the hole and settles for a par.

It still keeps his nose in front though.

  19. Latest leaderboardpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 13 April

Despite that dropped shot, Scottie Scheffler still sets the pace...

    -7 Scheffler (5)

    -6 Homa (4)

    -5 Morikawa (6), DeChambeau (4)

    -4 Aberg (6), Davis (6), Hojgaard (5)

    -3 Fox (7), Young (7)

    Selected others:

    -1 Fleetwood (7)

    E Hatton (11), Fitzpatrick (10)

    +2 Willett (7)

    +3 McIlroy (71)

    +5 Rahm (72)

    +7 Woods (11)

  20. Postpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 13 April

    Woods +7 Hatton E (11)

Tiger Woods saves par on the 11th and then gets a huge standing ovation as he arrives on the 12th tee.

His front nine score of 42 was his highest ever at the Augusta National but he undoubtedly remains the biggest draw in golf and takes his hat off to acknowledge his supporters.
