  1. Postpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 14 April

    An -1, Smith -3, (3)

A pair of pars for Cameron Smith and Byeong Hun An on the third albeit achieved in slightly differeing fashions.

An does the job having a putt for birdie go close while is Smith reliant on a silky chip and run to four feet to help him scribble a four.

  2. Collin can competepublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (19:35 BST)

Scottie Scheffler is the world number one, and the big favourite here but let's not count out Collin Morikawa shall we?

Morikawa is 27, the same age as Scheffler, but has won two majors to Scheffler's one, and a victory here will see him become just the fourth player to win The Open, the US PGA and the Masters all before the age of 30.

And it'd leave him just the US Open to complete the career Grand Slam!

  3. Bogey start for Brysonpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -2, Schauffele -2 (1)

Fine putting skills from Xander Schauffele on the first as he knocks it in tight from distance. Par for the Californian.

Bryson DeChambeau has paid the price for a poor first two shots. He's now at two under par - and his challenge is fading.

  4. Scheffler the favourite?published at 19:33 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7 (19:35 BST)

We're talking up the contenders - and there's some real stardust in the chasing pack - but realistically, is this Scottie Scheffler's to lose?

Hit the thumbs to tell us whether you think the big Texan will be wearing his second Green Jacket in about five hours' time.

  5. Postpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -5, Aberg -4 (19:25 BST)

Max Homa and Ludvig Aberg split the fairway on the first, although it looks like the American's route to the green is blocked by a tree down the left.

  6. Smith eagles the secondpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 14 April

    An -1, Smith -3, (2)

Cameron Smith comes up short with his approach into the par-five second and finds himself in the sand again.

But what a beauty that is, the Australian does not have a whole load of green to work with but splashes on to the fringe and his ball scurries down and into the hole for a majestic eagle.

Byeong Hun An also looks more than content grabbing a bounce-back birdie.

  7. Young birdies three as Fleetwood makes parpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -2, Young -2 (2)

So then, another long putt for Tommy Fleetwood looking for birdie and again he's judged it very nicely. Perfect distance, just a foot wide of the hole. He's ended up with another par.

Cam Young has given himself seven feet again for a birdie and he makes it. He joins Fleetwood on two under.

  8. Scheffler's conversion ratepublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler (19:35 BST)

    Scottie SchefflerImage source, Getty Images

Scottie Scheffler converted three of his last five 54-hole tournament leads into victories - so he knows how to get the job done.

Even the other two he finished second when shooting 66 and 68 so he hardly threw it away.

Overall he's shot 65, 69, 66, 66 and 68 when going into those final rounds with at least a share of the lead - so if someone else wants a Green Jacket today they're going to have to do something special to take it.

  9. Double bogey disaster for Hojgaardpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 14 April

    Davis -1, Hojgaard E (1)

We asked how Nicolai Hjogaard would react to yesterday's bogey run, well the answer is not very well...

A snap hook off the first tee ended up costing the Dane a double bogey six to start his final round - and any feint hopes he had may have disappeared already.

  10. Postpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -3, Schauffele -2 (19:15 BST)

From the heart of the bunker, Bryson DeChambeau takes aim at the green but catches it too sweetly and it flies away, sending patrons scattering from behind the putting surface.

After watching that, Xander Schauffele goes conservative with his approach.

He'll have a birdie putt, but he's a looong way back.

  11. Postpublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -2, Young -1 (2)

Risk and reward for Tommy Fleetwood on the tiny par-four third.

The pin position is far left on the green and the Englishman takes aim, coming up only 30 yards short.

It'll be tricky for him to get up and down from there, but he's got an extra shot to play with.

  12. What a difference a year makespublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -5, Aberg -4 (19:25 BST)

    Ludvig AbergImage source, Getty Images

On April 14, 2023 Ludvig Aberg was playing in a college competition for the Texas Tech Red Raiders golf team.

Fast forward exactly a year, and in those 12 months he’s turned pro, won on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, won the Ryder Cup and is now in the second to last group on Sunday at the Masters - in his first major!

Talk about meteoric rise, the Swedish star has had a phenomenal rise and if he can somehow collect a Green Jacket at the first time of asking it would be one of the biggest feats we've ever seen in golf.

  13. Can Aberg enhance status as Europe's rising star?published at 19:20 British Summer Time 14 April

    Aberg -4 (19:25 BST)

Aberg & PeetImage source, BBC Sport

The last time I saw Ludvig Aberg inside the ropes was at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome last Autumn as part of Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team.

Aberg, whose girlfriend Olivia Peet is apparently a promising tennis player from Bury, just north of Manchester, was already extremely popular with the European fans back then and his status is only likely to be enhanced if he can end the 45-year wait for a rookie winner at the Masters.

  14. What a week for Shipleypublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 14 April

    Shipley +12 (73)

We already know two of the players who will occupy seats in Butler Cabin tonight.

Defending champion Jon Rahm will be there at the traditional presentation of the Green Jacket, slipping this year's still-to-be-determined winner into their new fit.

    The other? Neal Shipley.

The 23-year-old American is the lowest finishing amateur and will receive the Silver Cup in Butler's Cabin later.

It's been quite the week for the Ohio State grad student.

His first Masters. The only amateur to make the cut. And a final round pairing with Tiger Woods - who Shipley bettered by four shots today.

  15. Postpublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -3, Schauffele -2 (19:15 BST)

A looping drive from Bryson DeChambeau on the first is off line and ends up out right.

Playing partner Xander Schauffele has better luck, whipping his ball straight down the middle.

  16. Par for Fleetwoodpublished at 19:15 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -2, Young -1 (2)

Some touch there from Tommy Fleetwood.

He's ended up off the back of the green and takes his putter out for a brutally fast downhill 51-footer.

It looks promising and nearly goes in, curling off the back of the cup before swirling out. Enough to earn him a par though.

Cam Young had enjoyed a trouble-free approach and eyes a 10-foot birdie but leaves it short.

  17. Postpublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 14 April

    An E, Smith -1, (1)

That fast start hasn't materialised for Byeong Hun An or Cameron Smith on the first.

South Korean An went well right off the tee, can only chop out onto the fairway and, with his third leaving a 10-footer for par, he coughs up an early stroke.

Cameron Smith fares slight better after a detour into the trees and hoiking his second into the sand, with a superb bunker shout to four feet to save his par.

  18. Baby drama?published at 19:11 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7 (19:35 BST)

    Scottie SchefflerImage source, Getty Images

Now, we know all the excitement happens on the back nine on Sunday at the Masters, but Scottie Scheffler could add even more drama.

He insists he'll simply walk off and dash to be with wife Meredith if word comes through that she's gone into labour with their first child at some point today.

"I'm sticking to my word, you only have your first child once," said Scheffler.

"I definitely have a way to get home pretty quickly. We have somebody here that has access to their cell phone. And, yes, I'll be available to go home then whenever I need to."

  19. Postpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -2, Young -1 (1)

Perhaps the adrenaline was still pumping through Tommy Fleetwood's body as he's shanked his drive on the presentable par-five second straight into the trees.

He's had to clump it out and is a good 150 yards back from the pin before his third shot.

  20. Postpublished at 19:08 British Summer Time 14 April

    Davis -2, Hojgaard -2

Cameron Davis and Nicolai Hojgaard about to get their final rounds underway, and it'll be interesting to see how the young Dane responds to yesterday's collapse.

Hojgaard stood on the 11th tee sat on seven under par, but then five straight bogeys shattered his round. Can he get back into contention today?
