Final group make the turnpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 13 September 2024
1UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (9)
At the ninth, Carlota Ciganda has rolled in to halve the hole and make the turn one back.
Very little in this.
USA win both sessions 3-1 to establish 6-2 lead
Korda/Khang v Hall/Maguire - USA win 6&4
Allison Lee/Thompson v Nordqvist/Sagstrom - Europe win 6&5
Coughlin/Schmelzel v Pedersen/Stark - USA win 3&2
Andrea Lee/Zhang v Grant/Hull - USA win 5&4
Earlier, the US took 3-1 lead in foursomes
Europe need 14 points to retain trophy; US need 14½ points to regain trophy they last won in 2017
19th Solheim Cup being held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Virginia
Paul Higham, Tim Abraham, Joe Bradshaw and Ros Satar
1UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (9)
At the ninth, Carlota Ciganda has rolled in to halve the hole and make the turn one back.
Very little in this.
There were, and seemingly still are, quite a few issues for fans getting to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia with big queues for shuttle buses.
The LPGA have just issued a statement on their X, external account to say sorry to those fans who were affected.
"We recognise and deeply apologise to all fans affected by the challenges with shuttling from parking to the golf course," the statement said.
"We’ve made significant changes to our transportation system to mitigate these issues moving forward, and we’re working on ways to express our regret to those impacted."
1UP Korda/Corpuz v Hull/Henseleit (12)
Allisen Corpuz sinks her putt and Esther Henseleit is left with 14 feet for a half, which she fails to convert as the USA edge in front again.
It's been a ding-dong battle this one, but more littered with mistakes than brilliant golf so far - especially for the European dup who have taken two steps forward then a big step back.
1UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (8)
We've just learned the final group is actually being timed in order to chivvy them along.
They're a couple of holes behind everyone else - and we're on a tight schedule here.
Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 3UP (10)
Just a half in this match as Europe stay three ahead. Maja Stark had an outside look for birdie but it slid just past the hole to let the USA off the hook.

The bananas from earlier on the first tee (11:46 BST)... they are friends and family of Anna Nordqvist.
They’ve been bringing the noise since 2009 and everyone knows where they are on the course with shouts of ‘Eurrrrrrrope’ ringing out and the cowbells shattering the silence.
Anna isn't on the course this first session - but don't be surprised to see her in this afternoon's foursomes.
1UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (8)
The final group have navigated Robert Trent Jones golf club's longest hole and are on the eighth green as we join Sarah Schmelzel putting to match the Europeans.
She tucks it away and after a topsy turvy start, this match has been stuck on one up for the US since the fifth.
Korda/Corpuz v Hull/Henseleit A/S (11)
Trouble for Europe as Esther Henseleit is off target with her approach to the 12th and Charley Hull has a tough chip from the rough on a hill off to the right of the green.
The door is open for the USA to immediately get a hole back after losing the last two.
Zhang/Coughlin v Boutier/Valenzuela A/S (10)
It's as you were in match two as Europe and the USA begin the back nine by halving the hole.
The Americans have twice managed to get themselves one up, but twice Europe have pegged them back.
Hard to say which way this foursome will go.
1UP Korda/Corpuz v Hull/Henseleit (11)

A mixture of groans and cheers greeted Charley Hull’s hole-winning putt on the 11th green.
“Great swing mate,” shouts Mel Reid, as Hull booms a drive down the 12th.
Reid, who made four appearances for Europe as a player, is in her second stint as a vice captain.
Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 3UP (9)
What will annoy Maja Stark even more is the fact Jennifer Kupcho makes possibly her first real putt of note of the day to win the hole.
It's not exactly a momentum shifter, but making the turn just three down after being hammered in that front nine is something of a result for the American pair.
Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 4UP (8)
So close! Maja Stark is in disbelief as her monster 40-foot putt rolled on and on all the way down to the hole and looked destined to drop right until the final couple of rolls when it just turned away from the cup.
How did that not go in?
Korda/Corpuz v Hull/Henseleit A/S (11)
Interesting how Charley Hull leaves the flag in even on the short putts. Not sure about that myself, but it works as she trickles in a birdie putt to win the hole and level the match.
Esther Henseleit set that up with a super tee shot, and now Hull has made back-to-back birdies to win consecutive holes and level the match.
1UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (7)
A chance for Lilia Vu to win the seventh hole for the USA but she shakes her head as her birdie putt drifts by.
Linn Grant knocks it in for Europe to ensure the gap remains at just one hole.
1UP Korda/Corpuz v Hull/Henseleit (10)
Advantage Europe on the 11th - the picturesque par three where our players have to hit directly over Lake Manassas for the only time in their round.
And Esther Henseleit has hit it closer than Allisen Corpuz with the tee shots, leaving Europe with the chance to level this match.
Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 4UP (8)
The USA are under so much pressure in this match, Ally Ewing is having to make what they call 'clutch' putts just to stay four down to this rampant European duo.
Zhang/Coughlin v Boutier/Valenzuela A/S (9)
A gritty Albane Valenzuela quickly shrugs off the disappointment of missing that putt on the eighth with a brilliant tee shot at the ninth to give Europe a birdie chance.
Celine Boutier throws her shoulders back in disappointment after missing it but, with a second chance to win the hole on par, Valenzuela taps in.
An immediate response from Europe in match two.
1UP Korda/Corpuz v Hull/Henseleit (10)
Charley Hull with her first fist pump of the day as she holes out from 10 feet for a birdie on the 10th to reduce the deficit to just the one hole.
Europe's livewire has been a bit quiet so far, but we all know that when she gets hot she can be unstoppable.
Hull bounces off to the next tee - that's a worrying sign for the Americans.

I caught up with Stark and Pedersen on the seventh green, just as the Dane holed her birdie putt to go back 4UP.
Fair to say the US fans have almost given up on this one, with only a handful of their fans following the players down the eighth.
The Europeans are in full voice though!
