  1. USA on brink of third pointpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 13 September

    2UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (15)

One fine tee shot on the par-three 16th and the Americans will likely seal at least a half in this fourth match.

Up steps Sarah Schmelzel and that is a pearl. Inside four feet and she is delighted, waving her arms and whipping up the crowd.

And in fact, the Europeans can only make par and will need Lilia Vu to miss a short birdie putt to keep this match going.

  2. Europe go dormie onepublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 13 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 1UP (17)

Emily Pedersen almost drained a monster but the ball stopped just a couple of rolls short, so up stepped Ally Ewing with a short putt to square the match, but she misses!

Europe go dormie one (one up with one to play) meaning they're guaranteed at least half a point here - but they'll want the full one.

They may have got it had they not conceded the short putt left for Jennifer Kupcho - who pounced on the ball quickly to pick it up as she definitely didn't fancy that one to save the match.

  3. Hole shared at 15published at 16:19 British Summer Time 13 September

    2UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (15)

At the 15th hole, Carlota Ciganda is weighing up another putt to win a hole for Europe and narrow the gap further.

It's from fully 20 feet though and she's off line, opening the door for Sarah Schmelzel to halve the hole.

And the Solheim rookie for USA does that. Europe two down with three to play in this match.

  5. Nervy halfpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 13 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 1UP (16)

Maja Stark drives in the four-foot par putt that Americans would call a 'clutch' effort, before Jennifer Kupcho trickles in a par putt from a couple of feet for a half both teams will settle for.

A very relaxed Rose Zhang and Lauren Coughlin have just been chatting to the television cameras after winning their foursomes match 3&2 against Celine Boutier and Albane Valenzuela.

“We had so much fun together," said Zhang. "Every shot we were laughing. We had some clutch putts coming in so that really helped the momentum

“Look at the fans," Coughlin agreed. "Over at 14, it was quite a scene and it was pretty special. It’s been amazing."

    Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 1UP (15)

Big miss by the Americans on the par-three 16th to miss the green to the right down a big hill, but the recovery is excellent.

Emily Pedersen is then feeling the pressure and blazes her birdie putt well past the hole and now Maja Stark is facing a nervy one coming back probably just for the half.

  8. Ciganda pulls a hole backpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 13 September

Strains of "ole, ole" reverberate around the 14th green as Carlota Ciganda sinks a crucial putt to win the hole.

She stands fist aloft and looks steely. It's enough to trim the gap on the US to two with four holes left to play as Europe try to wrestle back some momentum in this session.

  9. Lead down to one...published at 16:01 British Summer Time 13 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 1UP (15)

The Europeans fail to get down in two from the edge of the green which leaves a comfortable two-putt for the home side to reduce the gap down to just one hole.

Four down after three and second best for most of the day, Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho can sense an epic comeback on the cards.

  10. Pressure mountingpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 13 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 2UP (14)

This match is now monumental for Europe with how this session is going so far, and Jennifer Kupcho is feeling it as she hammers an iron out of the right rough on 15 and finds the green.

Maja Stark then comes up short of the putting surface and all of a sudden there's huge pressure on the Europeans, who had been in total command for most of this one, until now.

    Ewing/Kupcho v Stark/Pedersen 2UP (14)

Ally Ewing rolls in a putt to win the 14th and Europe's lead in this match is cut to just two with four to play.

That's probably the biggest cheer of the day as fans continue to keep streaming in following the transport problems getting here.

And when the American fans come in and see the scoreboards they'll be delighted.

  14. Another hole claimed for USApublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 13 September

    3UP Vu/Schmelzel v Ciganda/Grant (13)

Critical putt for Linn Grant at the 13th to halve the hole for Europe and she's lagged it.

Lilia Vu and Sarah Schmelzel are now three up and closing in on another point for the United States.

Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz won both foursomes matches in Spain and are now the first American duo to win three straight matches in the alternate shot format in Solheim Cup history.

"We just vibe really well," said Korda on Sky Sports. "And when one of us didn't hit it well we really relied on each other and we kept calm out there.

"I've got such a great partner, she comes up clutch every single time and I couldn't ask for a better one."

The USA remain three up with three to play in match two.

There it is! Allisen Corpuz rolls in the birdie on 16 and she closes out the match with Nelly Korda to beat Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit 3&2 in the headline match of the session.

That ding-dong match went one way and the other, but the USA won three in a row just when it mattered most to put the first point on the board.

Charley Hull answers with a decent effort, although a few feet outside the Americans - who will win the match if they take this hole.
