  1. Schmelzel sticks in a birdiepublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 13 September

    2UP Coughlin/Schmelzel v Pedersen/Stark (11)

Lauren Coughlin misses but Sarah Schmelzel makes no mistake in draining her 10-footer for birdie that restores America's two-hole cushion.

There's a low-key side-five between the pair of rookies who already look like experienced Solheim Cup veterans.

I think that's basically it for Nelly Korda and Megan Khang.

If it is, it's been done in really appropriate style by Korda. She has hit shot after shot after shot today in morning and afternoon - and that's another one.

She's holed her fair share of putts too.

Watch the highlights later on BBC Two (00:15 BST) and it'll be littered with glorious shots from Nelly Korda.

    1UP Coughlin/Schmelzel v Pedersen/Stark (10)

Two pretty ordinary shots on 11 from the Europeans opens the door for America, which Lauren Coughlin and Sarah Schmelzel both put at least one foot through by sticking theirs much closer.

And all while getting peppered by errant tee shots from Linn Grant and Charley Hull on the 10th...

Charley Hull whips out a driver and takes aim at the green on the short par-four 10th. On reflection, that has far from worked out.

She is so far right she's almost at the White House, clearing the tee box of the 11th hole and watching her ball disappear into thick rough beyond a penalty area yellow line.

A slight grimace from the English golfer.

    5UP Korda/Khang v Hall/Maguire (13)

The largest fourball margin of victory in Solheim Cup history is 7&5 by Pat Hurst & Rosie Jones in 1998.

That birdie putt from Leona Maguire ensures Nelly Korda and Megan Khang do not match that score.

  6. Maguire birdiespublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 13 September

    5UP Korda/Khang v Hall/Maguire (13)

Leona Maguire birdies the 13th with a clinical short putt to keep their faint hopes alive, or prolong the inevitable depending on your point of view.

The USA see their advantage cut from 6UP to 5UP with five holes left.

  7. Pedersen pulls one backpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 13 September

    1UP Coughlin/Schmelzel v Pedersen/Stark (10)

Emily Pedersen's superb tee shot does the trick as she has two putts for the win, which she takes with ease to reduce the USA lead in this one to just one hole.

  8. US inch ahead in final matchpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 13 September

    1UP An Lee/Zhang v Grant/Hull (9)

Our closest match this afternoon has been the final grouping and Andrea Lee lines up a putt to give USA the advantage.

In it goes and the Americans take a one-hole lead.

  9. Europe go 4UPpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 13 September

    Lee/Thompson v Nordqvist/Sagstrom 4UP (11)

Anna Nordqvist, disgusted as she was with a fantastic tee shot, takes full advantage by knocking it in for birdie and a four-hole lead.

    Lee/Thompson v Nordqvist/Sagstrom 3UP (10)

Sit! Sit! Shouts Anna Nordqvist who is not pleased at all with her tee shot on 11, which then drops just about four feet short of the hole!

Even when it lands though she still doesn't seem happy with it....

    2UP Coughlin/Schmelzel v Pedersen/Stark (9)

Emily Pedersen goes for broke on the driveable 10th, taking a big swing with a three wood which just about carries over the bunker and bounds up the green to a similar spot Nelly Korda hit it to earlier on.

    Fantastic shot.

If this was a boxing match, we'd be looking for the corner for Georgia Hall and Leonie Maguire.

I don't think they'll be out on the course much longer.

Europe concede the putt on the 12th hole with Nelly Korda primed for an eagle. Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire are ready to throw the towel in on this one.

  15. Sagstrom on a hot streakpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 13 September

    Lee/Thompson v Nordqvist/Sagstrom 3UP (10)

Pretty simple game this, just wallop a three wood to the front of the green and two-putt for birdie to win the hole - that's what Madelene Sagstrom has just done to go three ahead.

We talk about momentum all the time in these events as a whole, but Sagstrom has had a momentum shift just within her own game after struggling early on but now exploding into action.

Megan Khang is revving up the USA fans in the crowd as she and Nelly Korda stroll confidently down the fairway on the 12th hole.

Khang has a big grin on her face as she waves her arms enthusiastically.

They are closing in on putting the USA 4-1 up on points.

An opportunity from 10 feet for Rose Zhang to take the eighth hole for America and put them ahead once again in this final match.

Nope, she's missed. It was too close for her!

They halve the hole and stay all square.

    Lee/Thompson v Nordqvist/Sagstrom 2UP (9)

Madelene Sagstrom is on a high after winning the last, and she's hammered her tee shot on 10, the driveable par four, with only a three wood but still managed to land it on the front of the green.

Lexi Thompson and Alison Lee have no answer as they find the front bunkers with the efforts.

  20. Hall's putter running coldpublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 13 September

    5UP Korda/Khang v Hall/Maguire (11)

Leona Maguire and Georgia HallImage source, Getty Images

Georgia Hall has the chance to win the 11th hole, but her putting has just not quite been at the races today.

It might have made a difference, but given the way Nelly Korda is playing in the context of this match it might not.

Korda and American compatriot Megan Khang still in control.
