Some comments on the BBC Sport Facebook page on the news Chelsea's David Luiz could be moving to Paris St-Germain in a transfer worth £40m.

Paul Pollard: David Luiz is worth £20m at the very most. To be honest I don't even think he's a centre-back, he's more of a central defensive midfielder.

Izuchukwu Banks: Chelsea should cash in; modern football is more about business. And this is a good business indeed.

Andy Aj Potter: Absolute joke not even worth half that and what happened to this so called Financial Fair Play.

Some quick reaction to the news Patrice Evra will be staying at Manchester United for the 2014-15 season.

Phil Skade:, external Fantastic news Evra is staying. Couldn't afford to lose the defensive experience of Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra all at once.

Rich:, external I hate how Evra has got a new contract. He's way past his expiry date. Needs to go. Not the same player he was before. Poor decision.

Muhammad Bassa:, external Great news for us, we all know how much he love United and he is a leader so it will also help the team.

More from Kevin Pietersen: "I did, and continue to have, a good relationship with most of the England players, which has been subsequently highlighted by a number of press interviews.

"With regard to the criticisms aimed at my 'the way I play type attitude', I feel it's only reasonable to remind Mr Downton that this method has brought me over 13,500 runs for England, in addition to being part of four Ashes-winning teams and a World T20-winning side, all of which achievements I am hugely proud of."

  16. Cricketpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 23 May 2014

After England and Wales Cricket Board managing director Paul Downton said yesterday that Kevin Pietersen had been dropped from the national team because of a lack of effort and interest, the batsman has issued a statement.

Pietersen says: "The suggestion that I was uninterested during the winter Ashes series against Australia is wholly untrue.

"Although I was having injections in my knee, which inhibited my mobility and thus my ability to field close to the wicket, I was fully motivated to play for England.

"While I accept that the series as a whole fell well below my own personal standards, I finished the series as the top scorer."
