    Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon says the club were able to match his ambition and his decision to leave may lead to a break from football.

    The 42-year-old quit Parkhead after four years on Wednesday and is linked with roles in England.

    "It might not be a short term but a long term thing," he tells reporters. When asked if he had an ambition to manage in England, Lennon replied "yes", but added: "I need some time to digest it all. Leaving Celtic is a huge wrench. I need to think things over. I'll not rush anything."

    Nico Rosberg's decision to stay at Mercedes gives the team a good balance but the German will be viewed as second best to team-mate Lewis Hamilton, says former formula 1 driver David Coulthard.

    Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was a reported target for Mercedes, but Coulthard believes a team needs one lead driver.

    "No disrespect to Nico but we've seen Lewis and Fernando go head to head before at McLaren and it didn't work," Coulthard tells BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast. "You need to have some form of sort of compliance between the two drivers."

    Former England captain Michael Vaughan wants anyone found guilty of match-fixing banned for life from cricket.

    Lou Vincent and Naved Arif have both been charged with the offence by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) while playing for Sussex in 2011.

    Vaughan, 39, tells BBC Radio 5 live: "Anyone found match-fixing, spot-fixing should be banned for life. Don't allow them anywhere near a cricket field again. I worry there is more to come out. I worry there is more out there."

    Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos believes he will stay with the club next season despite being widely linked with a move to Manchester United.

    Kroos, 24, played 29 times in the league for the German champions this season but has a year left on his contract and is yet to accept the offer of an extension.

    "There was a lot of speculation, but Manchester is and was not an issue," he tells German newspaper Bild. "I am expecting to play for Bayern Munich next season."

    Nico Rosberg's new contract will "give him the clear head" needed to contest the drivers' world championship with Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton, says former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard.

    "Nico's being rewarded for helping build the stability in the team over the last couple of seasons," Coulthard tells BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast.

    Rosberg, 28, has agreed an extension of at least two years and trails Hamilton in the drivers' standings by just three points.
