Max Baggins-Craig: West Brom's 5-5 draw against United 2012-13, a great game indeed, the Baggies deserved to win purely on determination alone.

Tony Crane: ‏Every Paralympics GB athlete.

Roger Smith: Stevie G v West Ham FA Cup Final 2006, and Maradona all of Mexico '86.

Well, apart from that handball Roger, obviously (yes, we are still better 29 years on).

  2. Ronald Koeman news conferencepublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Finally, Koeman is asked if he has any tips for fellow Dutchman Dick Advocaat, who will take charge of Sunderland for the first time on Saturday, away at West Ham.

"The intensity of the game is so high, but he will soon learn that and he doesn't need advice because he is more experienced than I am," said Koeman. "He has been at Glasgow Rangers and he will know himself how he has to handle things until the end of the season.

"His situation is totally different to mine. We had a pre-season and he doesn't have that, just two days of preparation.

"It is not always the best thing to sack the coach but sometimes it is - look at the situation at Aston Villa. They are now more offensive and are scoring goals and so maybe that was a good decision."

  3. Ronald Koeman news conferencepublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Southampton's chances of making the top four have faded in recent weeks, but they still have an outside chance of making it. In sixth at the moment, on 50 points along with seventh-placed Tottenham, Koeman's team are six points behind fourth-placed Man United.

"I think if we win another five or six games (out of the remaining nine), then we have a good possibility of making it," says the boss.

"We will fight for the highest position we can get to in the table.

"We are now eight points above eighth-place, which gives us a comfortable situation, but we still want to win games and finish higher than we are now.

"But that is very difficult because it is not easy to finish above the big clubs in the table. But we still have the possibility and while we have that we have to believe in ourselves."

  4. Ronald Koeman news conferencepublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Koeman is asked if it's getting to tricky to beat the teams who are coming to the St Mary's Stadium and playing for a draw.

"Teams are sitting and maybe Saturday is a good game for us to show what we've learned about that," said Koeman.

"Opponents coming with maybe a bit more of a defensive mentality ... you need to be patient, to have the right movement at the right time.

"We had some weeks when the players weren't in the most confident way. But the win against Crystal Palace at home and for sure the draw against Chelsea means the confidence is back. But that's just talking - we need to show it on Saturday."

  5. Ronald Koeman news conferencepublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Next up on the seemingly never-ending list of Premier League managers talking to the media is Ronald Koeman.

We don't know Koeman personally - he doesn't hang around much in Salford. But he always seems a very nice fella, very placid and talkative, the kind of chap you'd want as an uncle.

And he's in a good-natured mood once again today as he talks about Saturday's home game with Burnley.

"It's a difficult game," said the Dutchman. "They have had some great results.

"But the way we played against Chelsea in the first half will give us confidence."

Koeman's Southampton, in case you've forgotten, drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge at the weekend

  6. World Cup boycott dismissedpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko has been talking to the BBC's Richard Conway at Fifa's HQ in Zurich.

He rejects calls for a boycott of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, made by President Poroshenko of Ukraine earlier this week.

"Most important is the reaction of the world's sport community and its very negative ideas of boycotting sports events," said Mutko.

"These boycotts never have any results, with the exception that athletes preparing half of their life do not have an opportunity to perform.

    "Sport should be beyond politics."

  7. Tevez on targetpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Man City might have crashed out of Europe but Juventus had no problems, thanks to a Blues old boy.

Carlos Tevez struck twice and created another as Juve eased past Borussia Dortmund and into the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Juve striker smashed in from 30 yards early on, giving his side a 3-1 aggregate lead and a key away goal.

The home side pressed but created little and Tevez squared for Alvaro Morata to finish after half-time.

It left Dortmund needing four in the final 20 minutes but Tevez compounded their misery, firing in from 18 yards.

The Wales defender, 33, will remain with Wolves for Friday's Championship home game with Derby County in an added coaching role that he has taken on with the Championship club over the last few weeks.

"The two clubs are talking," Jackett told BBC Sport. "Swindon have made an enquiry but they haven't got a game for two weeks now.

"Their next game is not until after the international break, so Sam will be with us in a coaching capacity."

  14. Injury blow for Pompey's Whatmoughpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Portsmouth manager Andy Awford says Jack Whatmough, 18, is "likely" to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered the injury in the 2-2 draw with Cheltenham.

"He's had his scan, there is ligament damage which we suspected," manager Andy Awford told BBC Radio Solent. "He will certainly be out for a little while."

When asked if he would be absent for the remainder of the season, Awford replied: "It's likely."

  15. Tim Sherwood news conferencepublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

If Swansea find a gap in the Aston Villa defence this weekend then it is might be because it is lacking 'Roncrete'....

Villa skipper Ron Vlaar - nicknamed Roncrete - is struggling to be fit as he continues to shake off knee injury, says boss Tim Sherwood.

The Dutch international, who has only played twice since New Year's Day, helped fourth-bottom Villa beat Leicester and Stoke, but missed last weekend's superb 4-0 win at relegation rivals Sunderland through suspension.

Francis The 2nd: Very disappointed that Ashley Young did not make the cut. Roy need to be sure he can be consistent perhaps.

Alex Le May: Have to question why Ryan Bertrand is not in squad, more clean sheets, more goals and more tackles than Shaw or Gibbs.

Rich: Spurs fan here - Walker gave one of the worst right-back displays ever on Sunday. What about Trippier, Jenkinson? Clearly the CLUB not player.

  17. Manor Marussia 'can overcome issues'published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

President and sporting director Graeme Lowdon is confident Manor Marussia will overcome technical difficulties which forced them off the grid in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

"We'll be in a much better position by the time we get to Kuala Lumpur," Lowdon told BBC Look North.

"They were reasonably small problems but when you're up against immoveable time scales they're very visible. No-one will let us race on Monday when everyone else races on the Sunday."
