    Burnley lodge an appeal, external to have Michael Duff's red card at West Ham United rescinded. Referee Jonathan Moss showed the Clarets defender a straight red card for a professional foul on Cheikhou Kouyate 23 minutes into Saturday's 1-0 defeat.

    Burnley will be relegated if they fail to win at Hull City on 9 May.

    Chelsea skipper John Terry says he will retire before getting "embarrassed".

    But the Blues defender, who won his 16th trophy during his time at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, wants more medals before calling it a day.

    "The last thing I want to do is go out there and get embarrassed every week," says the 34-year-old,, external who has steered Chelsea to their first Premier League title in five years.

    "There will come a point when enough's enough but I'll know when that is and I'll be the first to say: 'Listen, I can't do this no more.'"

    Match of the Day host Gary Lineker believes "little bit odd" manager Nigel Pearson will almost certainly keep Leicester City in the Premier League.

    Leicester have won five of their past six matches to climb to 16th spot - one point clear of the relegation places.

    "Nigel has done a brilliant job at Leicester," Foxes fan and former striker Lineker told BBC Sport. "He knows what he's doing - yes, he's a little bit weird at times, a little bit odd."

    Meanwhile England have slipped to fourth in the ICC Test rankings following their final Test defeat to West Indies in Barbados.

    At 1-0 up after the second Test, England looked certain to hang on to third spot in the rankings behind South Africa and Australia.

    But their five-wicket loss in Bridgetown saw them usurped by Pakistan.

    However, all is not lost... Alastair Cook's side will return to the top three without playing a game should Pakistan fail to beat Bangladesh in Mirpur this week.

    BBC Sport's Jonathan Agnew - who saw every ball of the draw series in the West Indies - says captain Alastair Cook and coach Peter Moores were punished for playing safe.

    So Blackpool FC have been in the news a lot lately - but not as much as Bobby Mack.

    Bobby who? Well, 60-year-old Mr Mack is the man who rode his mobility scooter on to the Bloomfield Road playing surface to join in the fans' protest during the game against Huddersfield.

    A video of him driving his scooter on to the pitch went viral on Twitter.

    He told the Blackpool Gazette, external: "I'm amazed. The video has been mentioned in America and all over the world, I can't believe it."

    Relegated Blackpool's abandoned Championship home match against Huddersfield Town will not be replayed.

    Hundreds of fans ran on the Bloomfield Road pitch after 48 minutes of Saturday's game, in a protest against how the club is run. The game was held up for more than an hour before the fixture was called off.

    "Playing the match again would serve no justifiable purpose seeing as its result has no bearing on promotion or relegation," said the Football League.

    The result of the match will be decided at the League's next board meeting on 14 May.

    Huge game in Turin later as newly-crowned champions of Italy Juventus host defending European champions Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League.

    No wonder Gareth Bale is so excited. The Real forward has tweeted, external ahead of the game saying: "Huge game tonight here in Turin, need to get off to to a good start against a top team! Come on @realmadrid."

    Oxford United say a fire broke out, external at the Kassam Stadium on Monday evening but no serious damage was caused to the 12,500-capacity venue.

    A statement on the League Two club's website reads: "The fire services were called to an incident in the East Stand but the fire was quickly contained and no serious damage was caused.

    "The incident is currently under police investigation and neither the club or Firoka, the stadium company, are able to comment further at this time."

    Great story in the Newcastle Chronicle, although Mike Ashley may disagree.

    Priest Stephen Foster, a Magpies fan, has penned a prayer to God calling for the departure of Toon owner Ashley from his football club.

    "It's a prayer to the Lord to try and change the mentality of the owner and the club," Father Stephen tells the Newcastle Chronicle., external

    Newcastle are two points above the relegation zone with three matches remaining after eight straight defeats.

    The Tigers midfielder came off second best after colliding with Laurent Koscielny during Hull's defeat by Arsenal last night.

    He suffered a pretty horrible injury to his eye.

    Bayern Munich frontman Robert Lewandowski has been included in the German champions' squad for their Champions League semi-final first leg at Barcelona - despite serious facial injuries sustained last week.

    The Poland striker fractured his nose, upper jaw and suffered concussion in their German Cup loss on penalties to Borussia Dortmund and was doubtful for their game in Spain.

    But Lewandowski - who has been wearing a carbon mask in training - is part of the Bayern squad which will fly to Barcelona later today.
