    "We have to be prepared for the chance of penalties but I think it would be difficult for the match to end in penalties.

    One break of serve proved enough for the Brit to take the opening set of his fourth round clash against Jeremy Chardy 6-4.

    Victory will take Murray into the French Open quarter-finals.

    The on-loan Arsenal striker came on as a late substitute as Inter beat Empoli 4-3 in the last game of the Serie A season.

    TT history maker Ian Hutchinson has signed for Prodigy front man Keith Flint's Team Traction Control for the 2015 Isle of Man TT races.

    The 35-year-old from Yorkshire is the only man to win five solo TT races in the same year.

    The Bingley racer had been due to compete for Tsingtao Racing on an MV Agusta but the team has opted to skip the event to continue development.

    The eight-time TT winner said: "I have worked with Grant [Bunting] from TTC before so to be able to have this opportunity to work with them is just what I need."

    Trainer Aidan O'Brien says dual 2,000 Guineas winner Gleneagles will miss Saturday's Epsom Derby and run instead at Royal Ascot later in the month.

    O'Brien will saddle Giovanni Canaletto, Hans Holbein and Kilimanjaro in flat racing's premier Classic which he's won for the last three seasons.

    Meanwhile, there will be a maximum of 15 runners in Saturday's Investec Derby at Epsom. The favourite Golden Horn and Irish-trained Success Days were today added to the field as late entries at a cost of £75,000.

    Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has his turn speaking to the media, and he is a big fan of team-mate Carlos Tevez.

    "Carlos Tevez has been exceptional since he joined us," said Marchisio. "He has not created any problems, he has been humble and available for everybody. He is one of the main strengths of our squad and is an important pillar. He will be fundamental on Saturday.

    "We need to stay focused, we know we face a good Barcelona team and three exceptional strikers who have scored 120 goals between them, a record in Spain. We need to prepare well for the match."

    Andy Murray's fourth round French Open clash with Jeremy Chardy is under way.

    Chardy is a Frenchman, and thus getting all the support, but it hasn't helped him so far. He's just been broken by Murray, with the Brit 3-2 ahead in the opening set.

    Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri: "Real Madrid (who they beat in the semi-finals) are an exceptional team, they are champions of Europe.

    "We will have to play even better to beat Barcelona. We played Madrid over two matches and this final is just one match, I think that will be a slight advantage for us."

    Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has been talking to the media looking ahead to Saturday's Champions League final against Barcelona.

    "It is impossible to man-mark Lionel Messi. But we should not be afraid of him," says Allegri.

    "Beyond stopping Messi, Barcelona have Neymar and Suarez, many players with technical skills."

    New Zealand have decided enough is enough. After a morning of frantic scoring, they have declared on 454-8.

    So a nice easy task for Alastair Cook's England side. They need 455 to win, which would be a new world record for a successful run chase.

    Alternatively, they can bat slowly for the rest of today and all of tomorrow to get the draw. This is the second and final Test in the series with England leading 1-0 overall.

    Tim Southee has just departed for 40, Jimmy Anderson taking a catch off the bowling of Moeen Ali.

    But the tourists, after hammering England's bowlers this morning, are in a commanding position, on 435-8 with Mark Craig 51 not out.

    Maria Sharapova has been knocked out of the French Open in the fourth round.

    She has been beaten in straight sets by the Czech Republic's Lucie Safarova 7-6 (7-3) 6-4.

    In the fourth round of the men's singles, Andy Murray has just begun his match against Frenchman Jeremy Chardy.

    Wasps centre Chris Bell has been forced to retire with immediate effect because of a shoulder injury.

    Adam Gemili ran 100m in under 10 seconds but failed to make the record books because of windy conditions.

    The British 21-year-old clocked 9.97 seconds at the Bedford International Games but the 3.7 metres-per-second following wind made the record invalid.
