    No, they're not modelling for a catalogue. Barcelona players are travelling like it is 1989 with double denim the order of the day as they set foot in Germany ahead of Saturday's Champions League final.

    There were several Argentina flags in the crowd upon their arrival, with Lionel Messi set to become the first player to score in three Champions League finals.

    "It's a Champions League final - it's a long way to get to here and we know that it won't be easy to lift the title again," says Messi, who has won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2006, 2009 and 2011.

    Everton are edging closer to completing the signing of out-of-contract Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley. Press Association Sport reports talks between the player and club are at an advanced stage but the deal has not yet been completed.

    Cleverley, 25, spent last season on loan at FA Cup finalists Aston Villa after a deadline-day move to Everton last summer collapsed.

    Cheltenham Town manager Gary Johnson has joked he nearly did not sign new midfielder Harry Pell after he spilled coffee over his carpet. Pell, 23, became the non-League club's fifth signing of the summer on Thursday.

    The player himself revealed: "His wife put on a lovely spread and I managed to spill coffee all over their cream rug." And Johnson told BBC Radio Gloucester: "I nearly didn't sign him because of that, coffee all over my brand new carpet. However he apologised nicely and I let him off."

    Earlier we told you about about the Juventus fan walking 683 miles so he can watch the Champions League final...for free.

    At the end of Nicolo De Marchi's walk from Turin to Berlin - where his beloved team meet Barcelona on Saturday - awaits a ticket to the prestigious final, provided by the Italian club if he completes the journey.

    His efforts stem from a pledge he made when tweeting the club on their 'if we get to the final' hashtag prior to the Old Lady's semi-final win over Real Madrid.

    Well, he has completed his walk and Juventus have kept their word and handed him his ticket. No wonder he's smiling.

    Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have re-signed Stuart Howarth from Hull FC on an 18-month deal.

    The 25-year-old hooker made his Super League debut for the Wildcats in 2012 before leaving to join Salford.
