    More now on the news Stoke City are hoping to sign Ukraine international winger Yevhen Konoplyanka from Europa League finalists Dnipro.

    The Ukrainian club's chief executive Andriy Rusol says several sides are chasing the 25-year-old, who was a Liverpool target in January 2014.

    When asked if the player may join the Potters, Rusol told BBC Radio Stoke: "Maybe. It's internal information. There are a lot of clubs interested in Konoplyanka but now I can't tell you anything about his future."

    Hampshire and former England batsman Owais Shah has said he is happy to only play Twenty20 matches.

    The 36-year-old top-scored for Hampshire with 56 runs as they beat his former county Middlesex to go second in their T20 Blast group on Thursday.

    Shah has only played the 20-over format since retiring from four-day cricket in 2013.

    "I'm glad I don't have to play cricket every day of the week any more. I'm loving my life at the moment," Shah told BBC Radio Solent.

    The Women's World Cup kicks off on Saturday and we will be building up to the tournament with everything you need to know right here in Sportsday.

    First up, England's group - Group F - where they will face Mexico, Colombia and France.

    Sir Bradley Wiggins is backing himself to break the UCI Hour Record on Sunday.

    Wiggins has previously said that he intends to put cycling's iconic hour track record "out of reach" when he rides in London.

    "I'm confident," Wiggins told Sky Sports. "I try not to sound too arrogant about it because I have done my homework with it and I've got a good pedigree of track racing, so I know what I'm capable of.

    "I have also been on the track a lot in the last five weeks and know exactly what I can sustain now for one hour."

    Watford confirm the appointment of Quique Sanchez Flores as the newly promoted Premier League side's head coach on a two-year deal.

    The ex-Atletico Madrid boss becomes Watford's fifth manager in a year. The former Real Madrid, Valencia and Spain right-back took charge of Getafe in January, but quit after only 11 games, citing personal reasons.

    Flores's managerial achievements include winning the Europa League and Uefa Super Cup in 2010 with Atletico, and the Portuguese League Cup with Benfica in 2009.

    Teenage amateur Marcus Kinhult proved his opening round was no fluke as he produced another eye-catching performance to set the clubhouse target in the Nordea Masters in his native Sweden.

    Kinhult, 18, carded a five-under-par 67 at PGA Sweden National to share the overnight lead and leave the likes of world number four Henrik Stenson trailing in his wake.

    A new world record for the longest football match has been set at Southampton's ground St Mary's after a 102-hour long charity match.

    The 36 players, from the Testlands Support Project, a Southampton charity, played in an 11-a-side match, starting at 18:30 BST on Sunday and finishing at 00:30 on Friday to break the previous record, of 101 hours set at Stretford High School in 2013.

    The players, who took turns to take breaks to eat, get physiotherapy and sleep, scored over 1,500 goals.

    Fifa refuse to say whether Sepp Blatter or secretary-general Jerome Valcke will attend the women's World Cup in Canada. Blatter would normally attend the finals but is remaining in Zurich following Tuesday's announcement that he is to step down as Fifa president.

    Asked if either was attending the women's World Cup, a Fifa spokesperson said via email: "Future travel plans will be confirmed in due course."

    The women's World Cup starts on 6 June.
