    Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association following his side's win over Arsenal on Saturday. 

    Costa puts his hands in the face of Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny and then clashed with Gunners' defender Gabriel, who was sent-off.

    The FA has also charged Gabriel with improper conduct and both clubs with failing to control their players.

    All parties have until Thursday, 24 September to respond to the charges.

    Extradition proceedings against the former Fifa vice president Jack Warner are to go ahead following a decision by the Trinidad Attorney General to sign “authority to proceed” papers.

    The case has been adjourned until Friday concerning a dispute over a legal deadline.

    James Lewis QC, who represents the Trinidad state in the case, told the BBC via email: "The Attorney General has signed an Authority to Proceed [ATP] so the extradition proceedings will go ahead."

    It continued: “The Magistrate will give a decision on Friday whether [Mr Warner] should be discharged and immediately re-arrested under the ATP or simply remanded to the next date under the ATP without a formal discharge."
