The Davis Cup final between GB and Belgium on 27-29 November, will, as expected, be held at the 13,000-capacity Flanders Expo Arena in Ghent.

It means Andy Murray and co will have to play indoors on clay.

“As the third biggest city in Belgium, it has a lot of experience in hosting top international events, such as the Tour of Flanders, the arrival of the Tour de France in 2007 and the Gymnastics World Championships in 2001 and 2013," said Tennis Vlaanderen president Dirk de Maeseneer.

Murray had threatened to pull out of the prestigious World Tour Finals - on a hard court - at London's O2 Arena on Sunday, 22 November, to prepare for the Davis Cup final. But he has sinse been told by organisers that he has "an obligation" to play.

A rugby fan who suffered a heart attack while returning from the World Cup opener is seeking a mystery doctor who helped to save his life.

Phil Nunnerley, 69, was on a bus from the England v Fiji match at Twickenham when he collapsed last Friday.

He has launched an appeal in a bid to track down his "saviour", who performed CPR for 15 minutes.

Mr Nunnerley, from north Somerset, said the only clue to the rescuer's identity was his Gloucester Rugby Club shirt.

"I remember nothing of it, from the moment I got on the bus until I woke up in the ward. I was oblivious to it all," said Mr Nunnerley.

Suggestions in the Italian media have filtered through to England that Liverpool have approached former AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris St. Germain and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti as a potential replacement for Brendan Rodgers, who is under mounting pressure after a poor start to the season.

BBC Sport believes the word on Merseyside and around Liverpool is that there is no truth whatsoever in the suggestion and the club have made no approach to any manager, anywhere, about any possible future vacancy at Anfield.

As you were - carry on Brendan.

Yogi was almost as famous for his slightly mangled syntax as he was for his actual baseball, becoming one of the sports world's most beloved and frequently quoted figures. A few examples...

    On pre-game routine: "I usually take a two-hour nap from 1 to 4.'"

On the shadows at Yankee Stadium: "It gets late early out there.''

On being told he looked cool: "You don't look so hot yourself.''

On being asked what time it was: "You mean now?''

His "Yogi-isms" were repeated by presidents, Wall Street titans and comedians. At the Vatican, Berra greeted Pope John XXIII by saying "Hello, pope." The pope replied: "Hello, Yogi."
