What do you need to do differently to be the better manager you want to be?

"To do what I do all my life, which is to study, and in my case it is difficult to study from others," answers Jose Mourinho.

"When you reach my level you have to learn from yourself, from own experiences, from analysing the work I do day-by-day.

"That's why I have a staff of assistants, to discuss every detail of our job, and I learn daily with the experiences that come."

Are you taking too many bullets for the players?

Jose Mourinho said: "For my players I do everything, I am not going to change."

Will you become a better coach because of what is happening and will you learn from it?

"I try to be better every day, not just because of this," Jose Mourinho said. "If I was only a better coach because of bad results I'd be a very bad coach because in the past 15 years I'd have never improved. 

"But I try to improve every day, I analyse every detail of my work very day. I analyse matches, it's what I do every day."

Is having a bad run new for you?

"It is new for me, that's why I am a good manager. If I was a bad one."

"I know why. I would here for a long time to explain, it is a combination of factors. Some of them I don't want to touch. But, yes, I know. Everything is football related. We don't want to blame social or political problems in some corner of the globe."

How have the players responded since defeat on Saturday and are they still responding to your methods?

"Yes," says Jose Mourinho.

How? Mourinho is suddenly talkative.

"By giving their best every minute of every training session," he says. "By showing solidarity, by fantastic personal and professional relationship.

"Training always in the limits of the quality and the effort and always with the strong desire to win the next game, which is what we are going to try and do tomorrow."

Have you lost the support of the players?

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinhosaid: "Very sad accusation, you are accusing more than one player of dishonesty. If I accuse you to be a dishonest journalist, you would be very upset and probably would take legal action.

"It is a question for the players."

Jose Mourinho is in the house.

He's  just been asked his first question and judging from his answer this could be an awkward news conference.

First question: You say you think you've got time, have you spoken with Roman since the weekend?

"I don't have to answer you," replies Mourinho. "If I was with the owner or not, I don't have to answer."

How long do you think you have?

"Three years and seven months," replies Mourinho, referring to his contract.

The word icy doesn't quite cover it.

Jose Mourinhotook training on Tuesday at Chelsea's Surrey base ahead of Wednesday's Champions League Group G clash with Dynamo Kiev.

Branislav Ivanovic (hamstring) and Pedro (undisclosed) joined in after recent injuries. Only goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (knee) did not train.

The Blues are third at the halfway point of the group and need a win to kick-start their European campaign.

Mourinho, under significant pressure, is due to face the media any time now...

Riyad Mahrez has insisted Leicester City will not let their fine start to the season alter their expectations.

The 24-year-old Algeria international has scored seven goals in 10 Premier League games to help City climb to third in the table after 11 games.

The London Evening Standard are reporting, external that Andros Townsend is considering asking to leave Tottenham after becoming frustrated at a lack of game-time.

Former Premier League player Dickson Etuhu was arrested after allegedly being involved in a scuffle with security guards and police in Sweden on Sunday, reports the Daily Mirror., external

The 33-year-old, who has previously played for Manchester City, Sunderland, Fulham and Blackburn, is playing for Stockholm-based side AIK.

He said on the club's website: "I want to confirm that I am the AIK player that was involved. I'm coming forward because I don't want any more speculation surrounding my team-mates and I have always stood up for my actions."
