Wales coach Warren Gatland wants his Six Nations scrum-half Gareth Davies to talk on the field as much as Rhys Webb.

Ospreys' Webb was Wales' first choice in the position before a foot injurywrecked his 2015 World Cup hopes.

Webb, 27, has returned for Ospreys and hopes to play in the championship.

Gatland praised the ability of Scarlets' Davies, who has scored six tries in 12 Tests, to "create something out of nothing", but added: "We want him to be more vocal."

Bundesliga club Hanover 96 has lifted the ban on their three youth team players who police say were intending to rob a casino near the north German city.

The trio from the club's Under-19 team are back in training after being suspended in mid-February when police said they were on their way to rob a gambling hall armed with air pistols, but had second thoughts and returned home.

"We will be rehabilitating them step by step and will see how the boys react," Hanover's CEO Martin Bader told Bild.

Seriously, maybe if there had been more of the amusing Van Gaal during his time at Manchester United and less of the irritable, shouty one, he might have a greater depth of goodwill amongst United supporters than he has.

Yet he is not going to change.

Asked if United fans could expect to see more of him in the technical area in future, Van Gaal swiftly replied: "No, it’s not a part of my philosophy. I am not a clown. I am Louis van Gaal."

Australia half-back Terry Campese says the recent sacking of Hull KR head coach Chris Chester highlighted the "cut-throat" nature of rugby league.

Chester's former assistant Willie Poching took charge for last Friday's home defeat by St Helens.

"It's the sport we play, it's the reality. It's a cut-throat business - players go out on loan, players get injured, you get a change of staff," Campese told the BBC's Super League show.

Trafford Council's Safety Advisory Group has asked for the kick-off time for Manchester United's Europa League last-16 second-leg against Liverpool on Thursday, 17 March to be moved.

The game at Old Trafford is supposed to start at 18:00 GMT but Trafford Council has concerns about an early evening kick-off in Manchester on St Patrick's Day and want the match moved to 20:00.

1980: Everton legend Dixie Dean died shortly after watching his former team lose 2-1 at home to Liverpool. In 1927-28, Dean scored a record 60 goals in a season. In total, he made 431 league appearances, scoring 377 goals. He was capped 16 times by England, netting 18 goals.

The manager has been talking about Marcus Rashford, as you'd expect.

"First I think that the media have to let him in peace," said Van Gaal, a not very subtle hint that is unlikely to work.

"You are in front of his house and that kind of stuff. I don’t think that is beneficial for a boy of 18. Give him time to be 18. We shall guide him in that way.

"I think he’s a very modest guy so I don’t think that will be a problem. When you have so much media attention, it can go another way, but I feel he can keep his feet on the ground."

Zinedine Zidane says the Real Madrid dressing room is harmonious despite Cristiano Ronaldo's comments that if all his teammates were on his level, Real would be top of the table.

"Cristiano has spoken to everyone, with me and all, the matter is past," Zidane said.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal said one of injured trio Anthony Martial, Matteo Darmian or Chris Smalling will play against Watford tomorrow.

He added that Antonio Valencia trained with the group today for the first time and that Marouane Fellaini is in the final stages of his comeback.

On who he thinks will win the title, Van Gaal adds: "Always the number one has the biggest chance. That is Leicester. Tottenham are playing very well. They have a big chance. They both have to play against us."

Louis van Gaal says he does not feel sorry for his antics on the touchline, after he threw himself to the floor to highlight perceived diving by Arsenal players, but feels it was right that he apologised.

Van Gaal says it is hard to be himself in front of the media because they don't ask good questions.

"In press conferences I have to answer the questions I am asked - and they are not all of a high level," says Van Gaal. "That is my problem. I have to answer so it is hard, in the media, to be the man who I am.

"But I think I have to control it in front of the fourth official. I say it to my players, so that is it. But I don't feel sorry for it. It is who I am."

Swansea City are too good to get relegated, according to former England captain Bryan Robson.

Robson, who presided over one of the most famous Great Escapes in Premier League history with West Brom, feels Swansea's class will tell in the defining weeks of the campaign.

"I just think Swansea have too many good players to go down," the former England captain told BBC Radio Wales.

"It is about which teams hold their nerve and believe in themselves."
