Gareth Jones: Manchester United need to seriously look at Ruben Neves as Juan Mata's replacement, maybe even offer Mata to Wolves in part of a deal, I think the man is a class act, could see him fitting perfectly with Pogba in midfield.

David van Heren: I hope Arsenal can sign Dennis Suarez/Cahill and swap Ozil for Rabiot.

Crumbs. That was a passionate press conference by Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

He started with a five-minute explanation about why he probably used the wrong word 'ego' for what trophies are, but he was adamant domestic cups will not help Spurs achieve their aims.

"Do I want to win?" he said. "Of course. It is a point we cannot debate. We have talked in a similar way for the last years. I want to win titles and build my CV."

Pochettino says patience is required and that once Tottenham move into their new stadium there will be no excuses.

"The club told me he's out of the market for sure and probably he will be out of the market in July.

"I cannot do anything, as you know very well. If I have the power to sign a new contract, I can do everything.

"It's impossible to promise him that he will play every match, because it depends on the situation."

What do you make of your club's transfer business?published at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2019

#bbcfootball or text 81111 (UK only)

Spurs are always looking for a bargain which is difficult to get in January. The Demeble move made sense as he was injury prone. We have a good youth system and a savvy chairman. If we don't get anyone in we will be okay but a loan signing or two will make us fans breathe a bit easier!

    Tom, SW London

Levy gets a lot of stick for Spurs' lack of signings. But I get the impression that when it comes to transfers Pochettino is as picky as Levy is stingy. Pochettino prioritises "right fit for the squad" over "buying for the sake of it". If the right player comes along at the right price Spurs will buy.

What do you make of your club's transfer business?published at 12:25 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2019

#bbcfootball or text 81111 (UK only)

Kyle: Newcastle's transfer business is none existent. Groundhog day again for us. We are struggling and signing no-one. It's an absolute disgrace. Ashley should for once splash the cash but he never will. Rafa will be away by the end of the week unfortunately. Newcastle spent 20m in the summer and recoup 40m we are the only club who sell a striker in the premier league for 24m and replace him with a loan signing in Rondon.
