The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers 37-20 to win the NFC Championship and will now play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 54 on 2 February in Miami.

Raheem Mostert ran in four touchdowns as the 49ers took control, with the Packers, who trailed 27-0 at half-time, scoring two Aaron Jones touchdowns and another from Jace Sternberger.

The Chiefs beat the Tennessee Titans 35-24 in the AFC Championship game earlier on Sunday to secure a first Super Bowl appearance in 50 years.

This will be the 49ers' first Super Bowl since 2013 when they lost 34-31 to the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans.

Sunday 2 February will see an almighty contest in Miami with the two best teams in the NFL doing battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Patrick Mahomes versus that San Francisco defence should be an epic battle, but don't forget about the Raheem Mostert and that Niners run game either. Some intriguing battles to watch as the NFL season comes to a thrilling climax in south Florida.

Counting down to the end of this game now, Green Bay won't be giving up but it's surely gone now, barring some miracle, and San Francisco look likely to be heading to Miami to face the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Robbie Gould splits the uprights from 42 yards and that will just about do it as it's now a three-score lead with just 3.31 left in the game.

Huge pass interference penalty called on the Packers on third down that's really stopped any momentum they might have had. If they got San Francisco off the field there it could have been getting a bit tense, but as it stands the Niners are rolling with Mostert again.

Well, that's another one back and just what the doctor order for the Packers as Jace Sternberger finds room in the back of the end zone and now it's a two score game all of a sudden.

Huge 65-yard reception by Davante Adams, who burns Richard Sherman no less on that play and almost looked like he was going to make it all the way to the house only to stumble slightly when he collected that bomb from Rodgers.

Is poor, most of them are these days and there was no chance of Green Bay getting the ball back from that. Great field position for the Niners to ice this game once and for all.

Jimmy Graham thought he'd scored but after review they ruled him down just a fraction short of the line, but no matter as Aaron Jones hoovers up and dives in from a yard out. The two-point conversion is no good though.

Green Bay moving the chains again but surely too little too late, they could maybe at least make it a bit closer.

You can always rely on the internet...

Another one for Raheem Mostert and again he's got acres to run into thanks to some meaty blocking from the entire 49ers team.

"They're taking their manhood away from the Packers," says Troy Aikman on commentary, just about sums it up.
