  1. touchdown

Cowboys Touchdownpublished at 22:08 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Dallas Cowboys 14-3 Los Angeles Chargers

Ezekiel Elliott is in the game! He was quiet in their defeat at Tampa Bay, but he is involved now as he takes the hand-off down by the goal-line and makes no mistake to increase the lead for Dallas.

The away side with home backing in Los Angeles.

  2. touchdown

Falcons Touchdownpublished at 22:07 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Atlanta Falcons 7-14 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Remember Cordarrelle Patterson? The running back/wide receiver hybrid is now at Atlanta and we've just had a heavy dose of him in that scoring drive.

He caught two passes from Matt Ryan before running in the score to put the Falcons on the board.

  4. touchdown

Vikings Touchdownpublished at 22:01 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 20-7 Arizona Cardinals

This Vikings offence really does have everything this season, with one of those things being Justin Jefferson as a dominant wide receiver.

He hauls in his first TD of the season to put the visitors in control. It won't be his last.

  6. touchdown

Buccaneers Touchdownpublished at 21:55 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Atlanta Falcons 0-14 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    GronkImage source, Getty Images

It's just not fair is it. Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski for touchdown number 102!

You know it's coming, you can't miss Gronk, he's massive, but you just like old Father Time you just can't stop it. Although Brady's giving Father Time a run for his money...

  7. Turnoverspublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Dallas Cowboys 7-0 Los Angeles Chargers

Trevon Diggs - star of Hard Knocks this off-season - jumps the route perfectly and picks off Justin Herbert with a fine diving effort.

But Dallas can't turn that into points as, on the next drive, Dak Prescott sees his pass caught by rookie Asante Samuel Jr of the Chargers.

After watching his father play for the Patriots and Eagles, that doesn't half make you feel old...

  8. touchdown

Vikings Touchdownpublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 14-7 Arizona Cardinals

Adam Thielen celebrates a touchdown for the Minnesota VikingsImage source, USA Today Sports

You wouldn't have thought Vikings would like it in the desert but Minnesota are thriving as Kirk Cousins hits the ever-reliable Adam Thielen with his second TD throw of the game.

It's finished in the air but there was plenty of ground and pound in that drive from running back Dalvin Cook, who has gone for 50 yards on just five carries.

That 10 yards per rush has to be stopped by the Cards or this will get away from them in a hurry.

  9. touchdown

Cowboys Touchdownpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Dallas Cowboys 7-0 Los Angeles Chargers

Tony Pollard celebrates a touchdown for the Dallas CowboysImage source, Getty Images

It's a home game in name only as thousands of Cowboys fans pack out the glorious SoFi Stadium in LA for this big game.

Dak Prescott leads Dallas on a punishing 78-yard drive eating up almost seven minutes on the clock before Tony Pollard finishes it off with a four-yard rushing TD.

It's the first opening drive touchdown the Cowboys have scored in 21 games!

  10. field goal

Seahawks field goalpublished at 21:40 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Tennessee Titans 0-3 Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson starts the search for his 100th regular season win by launching a 51-yard heave down to his go-to guy Tyler Lockett to set-up the opening field goal of the game.

Lockett has this handy knack of getting open and, although he doesn't really get the attention, he's a tremendous receiver for Wilson.

Jason Myers converts the kick from 31 yards.

  11. touchdown

Cardinals Touchdownpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 7-7 Arizona Cardinals

Minnesota asked the question, and Arizona answered in kind, with Kyler Murray finding DeAndre Hopkins with the touchdown throw to level.

Murray was very impressive last week when accounting for five TDs and he's started brightly again with the young man maturing into a quality QB in front of our eyes.

A tremendous runner, yes, but he's getting it done with his arm too - with having Hopkins around helping of course!

It's not just a win, it's an emphatic shutout beatdown the Buffalo Bills handed out to the Miami Dolphins in their own back yard.

It's not really a surprise given the Bills have now won six straight against their divisional rivals, scoring at least 30 each time, once getting 42 and last season hanging a 50-burger on them with a 56-26 shellacking.

It's the biggest shutout win for Buffalo over Miami since 1966. Good year that.

  15. Great play!published at 21:28 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Las Vegas Raiders 26-17 Pittsburgh Steelers

Another play of the day candidate and it's the jet-heeled Raiders wideout Henry Ruggs who catches the 61-yard bomb from Derek Carr during their win in Pittsburgh.

You can congratulate Mr Ruggs for his fine effort by a mere click on the thumbs up to vote for him.

    Away team first

    • Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  17. Full-time - Patriots earn first win of Jones erapublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

New England Patriots 25-6 New York Jets

Yes, it's the Jets, and we could probably cobble together a BBC Sport team to give the Jets a game (not really, obviously) and a lot of this was down to the defence...

BUT it's still a first win for Mac Jones as Patriots QB and that's a big deal. The quarterback for this team will always be a big deal, will always be compared to a certain Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr, until one of them goes and wins seven Super Bowls.

So, yeah, it's a big deal.

  18. touchdown

Vikings Touchdownpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 7-0 Arizona Cardinals

File this one away under 'perfect starts' as Minnesota come flying out of the traps with a touchdown on just the second play of the game.

Kirk Cousins hits K.J. Osborn and the second-year wideout just refuses to quit as he powers down the right sideline like a man possessed.

The result is a 64-yard TD and a Vikings lead.

  19. Full-time - Another big win for the Raiderspublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Las Vegas Raiders 26-17 Pittsburgh Steelers

The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-0!

They've beaten both the Ravens and the Steelers back-to-back, and on a short week before their trip to Pittsburgh.

    The real deal?

    Cincinnati Bengals 17-20 Chicago Bears

Both teams now sit at 1-1 for the season as the Chicago defence did all the damage in this one.
