  1. Our defence was balling - Garoppolopublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 17-11 Philadelphia Eagles

After a rough start, Jimmy Garoppolo thanks his defence for keeping the 49ers in it by winning the battle in the trenches.

"Those guys were balling, getting us out of tough spots," he tells the US broadcaster.

"We had to step it up offensively and we did it at the end there."

  2. touchdown

Buccaneers Touchdownpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It's Sunday, the NFL is on, so that must mean that Tom Brady is throwing TD passes to Rob Gronkowski, right?

As sure as eggs is eggs (is that a saying?) the two BFFs are at it again in the early stages of Tampa's game with Atlanta as they hook up for the 101st time.

Pray for Atlanta in this one!

Has there been a better combo in the NFL? Let your thumbs do the talking...

  3. Full-time - 49ers move to 2-0published at 21:09 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 17-11 Philadelphia Eagles

It's got loud in Philly as the home fans aim to drown out the 49ers' offence.

But right before the two-minute warning, Jimmy Garoppolo gets up the middle for three yards and a first down. That gives him the chance to ice it as San Francisco improve to a 2-0 start.

  4. Full-time - Saints sunk in Carolinapublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

New Orleans Saints 7-26 Carolina Panthers

Will the real New Orleans please stand up?! Are the Panthers, who are now 2-0, really good?

Were the Packers just THAT bad last week?

I'm confused, as happens so often in life not just with the NFL, but this is a real head-scratcher and we'll only really start to find out next week.

  5. Full-timepublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

  9. touchdown

Jaguars Touchdownpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Denver Broncos 23-13 Jacksonville Jaguars

This is why we love this game! A kick-off return touchdown is the stuff of dreams, and it's Jamal Agnew who just goes on, and on, and on with a spin here, a broken tackle there and an awful lot of speed.

He takes it 102 yards... To. The. House!

That's the longest play of the season and a thriller for the Jags' fans.

  10. Hurts on the chargepublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 17-3 Philadelphia Eagles

Philly need something special, and that's a good place to start.

Jalen Hurts scrambles to the right and charges down the sideline before stepping out of bounds to avoid the hit and kill the clock.

    That's a 27-yard gain and a 49ers penalty gifts Philly another 15. They're up to the visitors' 15-yard line.

  11. Rams Turnoverpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Los Angeles Rams 27-24 Indianapolis Colts

Oh no! Firstly, with the game on the line, Carson Wentz is on the sidelines after getting injured during a takedown from Aaron Donald, and back-up Jacob Eason is in for just two plays before he's picked off.

Rams get the ball back at the two-minute warning.

  12. touchdown

Bengals Touchdownpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 17-20 Chicago Bears

Hello! Joe Burrow just needs one play from the turnover to hit Tee Higgins and all of a sudden there's a genuine game on our hands here now.

Could be too little too late but it gives Justin Fields some extra work to do to ice this game.

  13. field goal

49ers field goalpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 17-3 Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers settle for a 46-yard field goal by Robbie Gould from that drive to give themselves a 14-point buffer.

    Philly need something special now.

  14. field goal

Rams Field goalpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Los Angeles Rams 27-24 Indianapolis Colts

Matt Gay boots the Rams ahead as we close in on the two-minute warning, now back to you Indy to see if there's an answer.

  15. touchdown

Bengals Touchdownpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 10-20 Chicago Bears

Joe Burrow finally gets it right after THREE interceptions as he finds exciting rookie Ja'Marr Chase on a 42-yarder to give the Bengals something to shout about.

And it gets better as they then pick off Justin Fields to get the ball right back!

    This could get interesting...

  16. Postpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 14-3 Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers force the Eagles to punt and now Philly are getting desperate.

They force fumbles on back-to-back plays of the San Francisco, but both tackles are deemed personal fouls. and the 49ers still have it.

    Less than six minutes left.

  17. field goal

Colts field goalpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Los Angeles Rams 24-24 Indianapolis Colts

It's all tied up now in Indianapolis as Rodrigo Blankenship boots a 35-yarder and this one will go down to the wire.

  18. touchdown

Browns Touchdownpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Houston Texans 21-31 Cleveland Browns

Welcome to the angry runs party Nick Chubb - actually that's a lie as on second viewing that can't really be an angry run as Chubb doesn't even get touched by the Houston defence.

He is quick, though, and drops a nice shoulder to elude the one guy who could've tackled him after Cleveland's O-Line cleared the bodies to open up a huge hole for him.

  19. Watch - When punts go wrongpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Los Angeles Rams 24-21 Indianapolis Colts

  20. touchdown

Steelers Touchdownpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Las Vegas Raiders 16-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are back in business thanks to rookie running back Najee Harris who takes a good catch, spins and runs towards the pylon before laying out in a full-length dive to seal the touchdown.

It's lovely work from Harris who has a remarkable combination of size, strength and speed - and also nice hands by the look of that last catch.
