  1. touchdown

Touchdown - Jaguarspublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-23 Jacksonville Jaguars

What. A. Play! We've waited all season long to see this from Trevor Lawrence!

He gets a bad high snap, but drags it in, then has to fend off the Colts defender as he rolls out to the right then fires a pass on the run for Marvin Jones to make a fine TD grab at the back of the end zone.

Incredible play from the top overall pick of the draft - who finally starts to look like a top pick after a rough first season.

  2. field goal

Field goal - Bearspublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Chicago Bears 17-10 Minnesota Vikings

Victory for Chicago would see the Bears finish level with the Vikings on 7-10 in the NFC North.

And Cairo Santos has just extended their lead with his third field goal of the day, all from at least 42 yards.

  3. field goal

Field goal - Packerspublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

Green Bay Packers 16-24 Detroit Lions

The Packers cut the deficit with a 36-yard field goal by Mason Crosby.

With the Jaguars currently beating the Colts, defeat for Detroit would see them finish with the league's worst record.

A win or the number one draft pick? Be interesting to hear which Lions fans would prefer.

  4. Wentz picked off!published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-16 Jacksonville Jaguars

Carson Wentz hadn't thrown an interception on the road all season - but he has now!

Damien Wilson picks him off and the Jags instantly run it back into the red zone on the first play of their posssession as the Colts look like fully imploding in Jacksonville.

  5. field goal

Field goal - Steelerspublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pittsburgh Steelers 6-10 Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens stuff Benn Snell's third down rush and Pittsburgh take no chances and kick the Chris Boswell field goal to close the gap.

News has clearly filtered through to Baltimore that the Colts are in deep trouble, as this is now a serious game with no chances being taken at all.

  6. Turnover - Washington pick sixpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

Washington Football Team 12-0 New York Giants

Jake Fromm is making a rare start for the Giants and it's not going well.

He's passed for just 35 yards and this one towards Evan Engram is picked off by Washington safety Bobby McCain, who can't believe his luck as he has a free run for a 30-yard touchdown.

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Texanspublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tennessee Titans 21-7 Houston Texans

Could the Texans have something in QB Davis Mills? He's shown flashes, and here he's lashed a big completion to Rex Burkhead before combining with a flea flicker to send a 28-yard scoring throw to Chris Moore.

Wirth Deshaun Watson set to be traded away, maybe Houston have a QB that can take them forward next season?

  8. Colts have to puntpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-16 Jacksonville Jaguars

It was almost an interception, but either way the Colts hand the ball back to the Jaguars as they have to kick it away.

It's really starting to head towards all-out blind panic for the Colts now, who would be dark horses in the play-offs given how well they've played recently.

Today, though, they just haven't been able to get into gear from the very start.

  9. touchdown

Touchdown - Ravenspublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pittsburgh Steelers 3-10 Baltimore Ravens

After not much happening for the Ravens offence so far, Latavius Murray breaks off a 46-yard touchdown run from out of nowhere!

Murray bursts right up the gut where there's a huge hole for him to gallop through and put Baltimore ahead.

Remember, with the Colts losing, a win here would keep the Ravens alive and needing "just" a loss for Miami and a loss for the Chargers later to somehow sneak into the play-offs.

  10. Trick play - Lions touchdownpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

Green Bay Packers 13-24 Detroit Lions

Aaron Rodgers is rested, with Jordan Love coming on for the second half, but on just his second play the second-year quarterback is sacked and although he finds Juwann Winfree on his third, the ball's stripped in the tackle and recovered by Detroit.

The Lions then dial up another trick play and again pull it off. The ball goes through three pairs of hands before being tossed back to Jared Goff and the Detroit quarterback picks out Brock Wright, who races down the sideline before diving inside the pylon for another superb score.

  11. field goal

Field goal - Jaguarspublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-16 Jacksonville Jaguars

It's not as bad as it could have been for the Colts, with the Jags having to settle for a Matthew Wright field goal from 39 yards to make it "only" and 13-point lead for the Jags.

You feel the Colts need some sort of socre on this next possession.

  12. Colts turn it over!published at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-13 Jacksonville Jaguars

This is serious now for Indianapolis. very serious! Carson Wentz is sacked and the ball comes out for DaVon Hamilton to secure the turnover.

Trouble for Indy, big, big trouble.

  13. touchdown

Touchdown - Vikingspublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Chicago Bears 14-10 Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have had a few narrow defeats this season so could well have been in play-off contention.

Here's another reminder of what they're capable of, though, as Ihmir Smith-Marsette loses his coverage down the middle and Kirk Cousins picks him out for a 44-yard touchdown.

  14. Nervy start for Coltspublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-13 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Colts fumble the opening kick-off to show that maybe they're feeling the nerves. Down by 10 points with their season on the line, this is a real test of their character now as much as anything else.

There is still a chance the Colts could get through even with a defeat, but it's a lot more long-winded than just simply winning here.

  15. Half-time scores - early gamespublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Away teams first

    • Cincinnati Bengals 7-14 Cleveland Browns
    • Green Bay Packers 13-17 Detroit Lions
    • Chicago Bears 14-3 Minnesota Vikings
    • Washington Football Team 6-0 New York Giants
    • Indianapolis Colts 3-13 Jacksonville Jaguars
    • Pittsburgh Steelers 3-3 Baltimore Ravens
    • Tennessee Titans 21-0 Houston Texans
  16. field goal

Field goal - Ravenspublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pittsburgh Steelers 3-3 Baltimore Ravens

Justin Tucker = automatic. The Ravens have to go for the field goal after TJ Watt again gets involved by batting down Tyler Huntley's pass.

It's all square at the half but both of these teams will raise an eyebrow at the score in Jacksonville, which opens up a route into the play-offs for both of them.

  17. touchdown

Touchdown - Titanspublished at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tennessee Titans 21-0 Houston Texans

That could be the game already, and the AFC top seed looks like going to Tennessee as Ryan Tannehill lobs his third TD pass of the half - this one going to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who we mentioned earlier could be a big piece in the post season for the Titans.

  18. Sack Master!published at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pittsburgh Steelers 3-0 Baltimore Ravens

TJ Watt draws level with Michael Strahan for the single-season sack record as he drops Tyler Huntley.

Yes, it's a longer season this year, but for reference Watt is playing in just his 15th game this season today - so he's more than worthy of a piece of this record.

  19. field goal

Field goals updatepublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    • Green Bay Packers 13-17 Detroit Lions (Riley Patterson 34 yards)
    • Washington Football Team 6-0 New York Giants (Joey Slye 43 yards)
    • Chicago Bears 14-3 Minnesota Vikings (Greg Joseph 39 yards)
  20. field goal

Field goal - Jaguarspublished at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-13 Jacksonville Jaguars

Matthew Wright boots a short field goal right at the end of the half, but it could have been seven points as Laviska Shenault caught what could have been a TD pass from Trevor Lawrence, but lost the ball as he tried to reach it over the line.

Still, it's a surprise 10-point lead for the hosts with Indy in big trouble.
