  1. touchdown

Touchdown - Bearspublished at 19:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Chicago Bears 14-0 Minnesota Vikings

Chicago kick their second field goal before Andy Dalton finds Damien Williams out wide to run in a 23-yard touchdown.

They also make the two-point conversion, to Allen Robinson, to go 14-0 up right before the half.

  2. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengals scoop sixpublished at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-14 Cleveland Browns

Case Keenum takes too much time dancing around and he's hit by the Bengals and the ball pops out for Trayvon Henderson to scoop it up and return it 29 yards with interest to the house for the first Cincy TD of the day.

  3. touchdown

Touchdown - Titanspublished at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tennessee Titans 14-0 Houston Texans

AJ Brown scores his fifth touchdown of the season as the Titans double their lead in Houston just before half time.

Brown can be a dominant receiver on his day and if he's at full speed for the play-offs, and the Titans also get Derrick Henry back then this looks like a much more dangerous team.

  4. Tricky Trevorpublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence is looking much more like a number one pick of the NFL Draft today, showing some nice wheels with a run and a drop of the shoulder as he looks to get the Jags in field goal range inside the final minute of the half.

  5. touchdown

Touchdown - Packerspublished at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

Green Bay Packers 13-14 Detroit Lions

The Packers hit straight back, with Aaron Rodgers making a peach of a deep pass to Allen Lazard for a 29-yard touchdown - the receiver's second of the day and Rodgers 37th for the season.

Mason Crosby misses the kick though so Detroit still lead, just. And it's far from Crosby's only miss this season. Will the long-serving kicker's time in Green Bay finally be up in the off-season?

  6. field goal

Field goal - Jaguarspublished at 19:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 3-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

I can't have been the only one screaming for the Jags to go for the touchdown on fourth down then surely?

Instead, they take the easy Matthew Wright kick to restore their seven-point lead but we all would have liked to have seen them roll the dice there given Trevor Lawrence has looked pretty good against this top Colts defence.

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Lionspublished at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

Green Bay Packers 7-14 Detroit Lions

The Packers turn it over on downs just inside the Lions' half and Detroit take advantage to take the lead over the top seed in the NFC Conference.

They go for it on fourth and goal, and their faith is rewarded as Jared Goff fires a pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown in the middle for a two-yard touchdown.

Amon-Ra's older brother Equanimeous plays for Green Bay and their parents are both wearing half-and-half jerseys at today's game.

  8. touchdown

Touchdown - Titanspublished at 18:56 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tennessee Titans 7-0 Houston Texans

After having a Td ruled out, the Titans finally get into the end zone for real as Ryan Tannehill fires a dart throw to Anthony Firkser for a five-yard score.

It's been a sapping 94-yard drive by the Titans, and they've had to earn every single yard of that over the last six minutes and 31 seconds.

    Top spot is in sight.

  9. Trick play - Lions touchdownpublished at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

Green Bay Packers 7-7 Detroit Lions

Wow, what a play by Detroit.

A win would ensure they avoid picking up this season's wooden spoon and they've thrown caution to the wind on the final day.

Jared Goff hands it off, it's shovelled back to Tom Kennedy and he floats a pass to fellow wide receiver Kalif Raymond, who is wide open to run in a 75-yard touchdown.

  10. touchdown

Touchdown - Brownspublished at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-7 Cleveland Browns

It's the battle of the back-ups in Cleveland and the Browns strike first with Case Keenum hitting Jarvis Landry for a 26-yard score.

The Bengals can end up anywhere from second to fourth seed, but they're more concerned with conserving injuries here safe in the knowledge they'll have at least one home play-off game next week.

  11. Jags looking inspiredpublished at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Talk about bogey teams! The Colts are bang in trouble here trying to move the chains but finding the Jags in inspired defensive form.

They've recovered a rare fumble and now Josh Allen, with no sacks since week nine , brings Carson Wentz down with the Colts in the red zone.

This Jags defence are playing like a team possessed!

  12. Randy out of rangepublished at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tennessee Titans 0-0 Houston Texans

The Titans settle for a 42-yard field goal, but Randy Bullock (yep, that's his name) drags it wildly wide of the sticks and this one stays level.

It's the beauty of having divisional games for the last round of fixtures, as Houston have nothing to play for at all while Tennessee are going for the top AFC seed, yet the hosts are fighting for their lives.

Divisional games will never be easy ones.

  13. Wow moment from Wentzpublished at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Carson Wentz unleashes a laser to find TY Hilton with a 33-yard strike right through the middle of the Jags defence, finding a tiny open window to hit the veteran receiver.

That's the sort of Wentz we saw when he was in the MVP conversation during his Philly days...

  14. Big Ben being Big Benpublished at 18:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pittsburgh Steelers 3-0 Baltimore Ravens

It just wouldn't be a Ben Roethlisberger performance without him throwing an interception now would it?

Baltimore escape after Tyler Huntley had also just thrown a pick, although it was a controversial one with the ball looking to have hit the ground, but it was upheld and the Ravens avoided conceding any points off it.

  15. Record Chase-ingpublished at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Cleveland Browns

Ja'Marr Chase sets a new single-season receiving record for the Bengals, and he's now just 20 yards or so short of the all-time NFL rookie season record, which I'm sure you all know was set by Bill Groman in 1960 (1,473).

Andrew Priestley: The Titans in position to clinch the #1 seed in the AFC without the services of Derrick Henry for the second half of the regular season is an impressive achievement in it’s own right. Having him back for the play-off run will be massive, but how fit will he be?

Had Henry been fit all season, the Titans' battering ram of a running back would surely be in MVP contention too.

  17. Great play!published at 18:30 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tennessee Titans 0-0 Houston Texans

The Titans are struggling to move the ball early on against Houston, but wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine helps out with a huge 29-yard reception right down the middle of the field.

It's a tough name to forget (and to spell for that matter) but remember that name as he could be a big player for these Titans in the play-offs.

No-one's picked up the NFL's MVP award in back-to-back seasons since then-Colts quarterback Peyton Manning in 2008 and 2009.

This season's votes will be cast after tonight's games so does Aaron Rodgers deserve to emulate that achievement? If not, who do you think has been this season's MVP?

  19. Colts cough it uppublished at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Indianapolis Colts 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Colts go for it on fourth and two, and why wouldn't you with the league's leading rusher in your squad, but after they hand it off to Jonathan Taylor he's stuffed at the line and can't move the sticks.

Jacksonville take over on their own 42-yard line. It's all Jags so far.

  20. field goal

Field goal - Steelerspublished at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pittsburgh Steelers 3-0 Baltimore Ravens

Ben Roethlisberger can't generate a touchdown so Pittsburgh settle for a Chris Boswell field goal from 28 yards out.

The Steelers will have an eye on the Colts game on the sideline and while it's close down in Jacksonville they'll play this one seriously and try and squeeze out the win.
