Buffalo Bills 14-17 Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes again scrambles out of the pocket and keeps looking for a pass but there's no-one on so he runs out of bounds.

That'll be a kick for the Chiefs and Harrison Butker makes it from 39 yards to nudge Kansas City back in front. That drive lasted 13 plays and kept Josh Allen off the field for almost eight minutes.

On third and eight, Patrick Mahomes scrambles to the right and there's a flag before the Kansas City QB cuts inside and dives to the deck for a first down.

It's an offensive holding call against the Chiefs, though, so that'll cost them 10 yards and it's now third and 18.

The Chiefs run it on fourth and one, and Patrick Mahomes flips the ball to Jerick McKinnon, who gains a chunk of yards after the catch before going out of bounds for a 20-yard gain.

They're now up to the Bills' 20.

The Chiefs are mixing it up on this drive, between the pass and the run, to gain a few yards here and there before Noah Gray's eight-yard catch gets them into the Buffalo half.

The Bills take the kick-off so the Chiefs will have the first possession of the third quarter, starting from their own 25-yard line.

Harrison Butker misses just to the right from 50 yards out after a he'd been roundly bigged up by the commentators. He should thank Tony Romo for that one!

What a half that was though, a half of quarterback play at the very highest level - they look like the best two in the NFL right now the way they're playing.

It could be yet another case of last score wins here!

As long as there is time on the clock, both Mahomes and Allen will back themselves to get points - as the Chiefs are just about in field goal range now on this hurry-up drive.

Now Josh Allen is running the ball! There may not be a more brutal QB runner than this guy in the NFL and he's powering the Bills into range to score.

Josh Allen wants some points before half-time, and he's showing his arm strength by fizzing a bullet to Cole Beasley for 24 yards and getting one to Gabriel Davis to get them just about in field goal range.

54 seconds left to play though so expect Allen to try and find the end zone here - that's just how these Bills roll!

Returning running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire seems to have turned up an angry man for the Chiefs tonight and he's charging right at people and knocking them over.

He gets the ball to the two-yard line as we hit the two minute warning.

Dane Jackson has a silly hold of Tyreek Hill's jersey to give the Chiefs a first down when they faced a third-and-11.

Mahomes was actually sacked on the play as well but all that is wiped out thanks to the penalty.

The Chiefs get inside the 20 but Mahomes has nowhere to go and nobody open and he's dropped for a loss of seven yards.

A classic Patrick Mahomes sidearm throw here, going underneath the outstretched arm of the big defensive lineman - I think it actually had a bit of bend on it too to find Tyreek Hill.

Matt Haack is suddenly getting loads of action for Buffalo with another punt for the Bills. Not as good as last time but still the Chiefs are backed up on their own 13.

There are question marks over the futures of both Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady after they both lost this weekend.

Surely the NFL can't lose BOTH quarterback legends to retirement this summer?

No surprise to see the Chiefs fail to gain much ground so they have to punt from their own end zone. It's a nice kick but still good field position for Buffalo to start with.

Buffalo should punt more often! Because this is a ripper from Matt Haack which is downed at the one and will have the Chiefs in all kinds of bother.

We often overlook special teams - even some NFL teams do (we're looking at you Green Bay) but in the play-offs especially they can really change the game.

Melvin Ingram gets his hands on Josh Allen, who shows good hands not to drop the ball, and it will be the lesser-spotted Bills punt coming up.
