  1. field goal

Field goal - Bucspublished at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 27-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A few boos from the home crowd as Bruce Arians sends Ryan Succop out there to kick the field goal on fourth down instead of going for the touchdown.

It's points I suppose, but not nearly enough.

  2. Brady under pressurepublished at 22:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 27-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady's getting all kinds of hassle from Aaron Donald and his mates and he's dropped a couple of times as he tries to find the end zone.

He actually had Gronkowski for a touchdown on the last one but couldn't keep his balance under pressure.

  3. Big play from Gronkpublished at 22:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 27-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Trademark step up in the pocket from Brady before he finds an open Rob Gronkowski for a huge 42-yard gain. Can that spark the Bucs?

  4. touchdown

After two runs from Cam Akers takes the ball to the one-yard line, Matthew Stafford does the rest by taking the QB sneak in for the touchdown.

You never like to write off Tom Brady, history tells us that's not a smart move, but this is a long road back even for him!

  5. Big Rams run backpublished at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs have to punt after yet another drop by Tyler Johnson - who isn't having the best game, and even here it's all going the Rams way as Brandon Powell rips off a 33-yard punt return.

Rams return to the field at the Tampa Bay 28.

  6. Bucs backed uppublished at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Stafford takes a shot and is almost picked, so the Rams punt and it's a great one that goes out of bounds at the Tampa Bay five-yard line.

Brady will start off right up against his own end zone.

  7. Stafford starts second halfpublished at 21:50 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Rams ball to start the second half and already Stafford has found Odell Beckham again. The Bucs can't seem to cover these Rams weapons today.

Mind you, the Bucs haven't done anything particularly well today.

  8. Would you bet against Brady?published at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Jason Bell
    Former NFL cornerback

Everyone had been saying Tampa Bay will run out of steam and they struggled against the Rams (34-24 loss in September) but how do you bet against Tom Brady?

  9. Half-time - Rams in chargepublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady kneels so that'll bring the first half to a close, with the Rams leading by 17.

That's a big lead in a play-off game, but Brady has led recoveries from bigger deficits than this - in a Super Bowl no less.

Can we really afford to write him off yet? Hit thumbs up if you think it'll be a Rams win, thumbs down for a Bucs fightback.

  10. Turnover - Bucs recover fumblepublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yep, the replays show that the ball did come loose before Cam Akers' helmet hit the turf. The Bucs recovered it so they've now got possession.

They haven't got time to do anything with it like, but crucially, that turnover means the Rams can't stretch the lead before the break.

  11. Rams fumble? Play under reviewpublished at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Matthew Stafford finds Tyler Higbee and Van Jefferson to get the Rams within six yards.

Cam Akers goes to the outside to try to run it in but he fumbles it in the tackle. Was he down before it came loose?

    The play's currently under review.

  12. Turnover - Brady interceptedpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

That's the first time Tom Brady's been sacked today - and now he's given up his first interception.

He drops back to his own goal-line then looks for his go-to man Rob Gronkowski. But it's a floated pass towards the sideline and safety Nick Scott spots it a mile off, stepping in front of Gronk to make the pick.

Huge blow for the Bucs as instead of cutting the gap before the half, the Rams now have a chance to extend it.

  13. Brady Sackedpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady gets it back with 2:13 till half-time, and on the first play of the drive he's sacked for the first time today, by Aaron Donald for a seven-yard loss.

That'll take us to the two-minute warning in Tampa.

  14. field goal

Field goal - Ramspublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 20-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On third and 14, Matthew Stafford finds Cooper Kupp for 11 yards but that's not enough for a first down so Matt Gay comes on to take the kick, making a field goal from 40 yards.

  15. Timeout - Stafford spreading the lovepublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Matthew Stafford is spreading the ball around on this drive, making a string of quick, short passes and chewing up the clock while he's at it.

Sony Michel is the fifth different receiver on the drive and the Rams are at Tampa Bay's 32-yard line as they call a timeout with three minutes to the half.

  16. field goal

Missed Field goal - Bucspublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

To be fair to Tom Brady, he's now got blood coming from his lip so there must've been contact, but he passes to Leonard Fournette for another 19 yards.

Yet the Bucs' drive stalls at LA's 30-yard line and they have to kick, with Ryan Succop sending it wide right from 48 yards. Insult added to injury for Brady and the Bucs there.

  17. Brady penalised for unsportsmanlike conduct for first timepublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

That Brady-Evans connection is now firing. It's good for another seven yards, but Brady was hit late by Von Miller, and he appeared to catch his facemask.

Brady wants a penalty and makes his opinion known to the officials. But it'll be an unsportsmanlike conduct call against the veteran quarterback. Remarkably, that's the first off his entire career.

  18. Bucs get rollingpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady fails to make the first pass on the drive, under pressure from Von Miller.

But he then finds Mike Evans twice in quick succession and picks out the Bucs' star receiver again for a 21-yard gain which puts Tampa Bay into LA territory.

  19. Rams also go three-and-outpublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Matthew Stafford then makes a couple of incompletions so the Rams also go three-and-out.

Now can Tom Brady get the Bucs' offence going?

Ben Blake: Tom Brady 2012 could pull a game like this around. Not sure Brady 2022 can.
