    Atlanta Falcons 0-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

Big play from the Falcons' defense as, on third-down-and-two, they stop Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence millimetres short and the Jags have to punt the ball away.

This is the Jacksonville Jaguars' 10th game in London - and this Jags fan has been to all-but one.

Had to let him know how much I liked his outfit earlier, but fellow Jags fans kept butting in to get a pic with him. Can hardly blame them, it was quite impressive.

He'll also be at Tottenham next week to see the Jags face the Buffalo Bills. Obvs.

  3. Postpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

Almost a huge moment as the Falcons come close to a turnover deep in the Jags' half.

Tight end Evan Engram drops a short pass and it could be a fumble but he jumps back on the loose ball just before the Atlanta defender gets to it.

  4. Ridder sacked againpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

Well that glimmer of light for Atlanta was quickly snuffed out.

Desmond Ridder goes deep but it's incomplete to wide receiver Drake London.

That brings up third down - and Jacksonville bring the blitz to sack Ridder for a second time and force yet another Atlanta punt.

  5. Falcons first downpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

Bijan Robinson gains a few yards for the Falcons on first down before Desmond Ridder delays a pass too long and is lucky not to be intercepted given there were about three Jaguars covering one Atlanta receiver.

But Ridder makes amends with a solid pass to back-up tight end Jonnu Smith for what I believe is Atlanta's maiden first down of this match.

They're closing in on Jags' territory and desperately need a score to get on the board with 13 minutes of the first half remaining.

  6. field goal

Field goal - Jaguarspublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags start the third quarter with a long pass attempt from an under-pressure Trevor Lawrence that is too far ahead of Christian Kirk.

That brings up fourth down so Jacksonville opt to kick the field goal and Brandon McManus stretches their lead to 10 points.

  8. End of first quarterpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Brenton Strange is not a popular man with Jaguars head coach Doug Pedersen.

A holding penalty costs Jacksonville 10 yards - and Strange is also called for unnecessary roughness after the play is over too.

The Jags have the chance to regroup and refocus though as that's the end of the first quarter at Wembley. A good one for Jacksonville, not so good at all for Atlanta.

  9. Jaguars threatening againpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Christian Kirk has the freedom of Wembley Stadium to haul in a Trevor Lawrence 30-yard pass for a first down in Falcons' territory.

He's so open that he has time to catch it on the fall, roll over, get back up and make a handful more yards before being tackled.

Atlanta having a poor first quarter on both sides of the ball.

  10. Ridder sacked, Falcons punt againpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Falcons QB Desmond Ridder tries to replicate Trevor Lawrence's 'wheels' but is halted at the line of scrimmage when attempting a run on the first play of Atlanta's second drive.

A Jacksonville defensive offside gives Atlanta a great chance to register a maiden first down as they need just one yard to earn a fresh set of downs - but Ridder is sacked and the Falcons have to punt again.

  11. 'Lawrence has got wheels and an arm'published at 15:00 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Not much doing on the first two drives there, but Trevor Lawrence brought the crowd to life on the third.

First he showed he's got wheels with that run into the Atlanta half. Then he showed he's got an arm with the delightful throw to Calvin Ridley.

The teal flags are fluttering at the Jags' second home.

  12. 'A dime from Lawrence'published at 14:59 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

What a play by Trevor Lawrence. The Falcons blitzer came free and what does Lawrence do? A little shoulder dart and he throws a dime to Calvin Ridley.

  13. touchdown

Touchdown - Calvin Ridley (Jaguars)published at 14:56 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

The old "scoring against your former club" routine.

Trevor Lawrence snazzily avoids pressure in the pocket and the Falcons have left their ex-wide receiver Calvin Ridley wide open in the endzone.

Lawrence spots him and lofts a 25-yard throw that's hauled in comfortably and the Jaguars lead at Wembley late in the first quarter.

  14. Jags convert on fourth downpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Lawrence's next running attempt is quickly halted but, on fourth down and facing a long field goal, the Jaguars opt to roll the dice and go for the pass.

And Lawrence connects with wide receiver Christian Kirk for a first down with a tidy pass down the middle.

  15. Lawrence uses his legspublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Speaking of impacts, Jags QB Trevor Lawrence scrambles around the pocket, sees a lane of escape and makes a big 21-yard gain for a first down.

He opts to run again on the next play and Jacksonville are into Atlanta territory, threatening to open the scoring.

  16. Majestic mascotpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons v Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaxson de Ville, the Jags mascot, made quite an entrance before the game. You wouldn't catch Fred the Red doing this would you?

  17. Falcons three and out on opening drivepublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

After a couple of Falcons runs are stuffed well short, Bijan Robinson almost uses those receiving skills and some fast feet shuffles to pick up a first down by leaving a defender on his backside.

But he's tackled just shy by a covering Jaguar and it's three and out for the Falcons, who must punt possession straight back to Jacksonville.

  18. Team news - Patterson back to support rookie Robinsonpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Bijan Robinson was eighth pick overall in this year's draft by Atlanta and the rookie entered week four leading all running backs with 14 receptions.

The Falcons rarely threaten over the top, relying on quarterback Desmond Ridder to manage the game with high-percentage passes and Robinson to pair with Tyler Allgeier to move the chains, while veteran running back Cordarrelle Patterson is also available for the first time this season after a thigh injury.

Tight end Kyle Pitts had a career-high nine receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown when Atlanta beat the New York Jets at Tottenham in 2017.

Wide receiver Josh Ali is among Atlanta's inactive players today having not travelled to London because of an ankle injury.

  19. Say cheesepublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons v Jacksonville Jaguars

One of the special things about NFL games in London is the fact that fans of all 32 teams turn up sporting their team's colours.

No prizes for guessing who the cheese head supports!

  20. Team news - Ridley & Etienne key to Jagspublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 October 2023

    Atlanta Falcons 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

It's the 'hosts' Jacksonville who were first in possession, but quarterback Trevor Lawrence will have to manage without Zay Jones today. The wide receiver has been ruled out with a knee injury.

Safety Antonio Johnson and linebacker Devin Lloyd have also been listed as inactive, along with wide receivers Jamal Agnew and Elijah Cook.

Lawrence should therefore look more to former Atlanta receiver Calvin Ridley to spark the offence, although running back Travis Etienne had 138 yards from scrimmage last week and the Falcons have allowed 117.7 rushing yards per game.
