Despite the Josh Allen run he can't then convert on third down, throwing the ball a bit behind Dalton Kincaid, who can't adjust to the ball.

  2. Allen uses his legspublished at 21:58 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 0-7 Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is a problem, he should really be sacked but shakes off the would-be tackler using his size and strength, then takes off right up the middle.

And Josh Allen doesn't slide, nope, this QB puts his head down and welcomes contact, encourages it almost, and barges his way to an eight-yard gain.

Not massive on the stat sheet but shows just the biggest and most powerful QB in the league can do.

  3. Steelers hand it backpublished at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 0-7 Buffalo Bills

Another quick three-and-out from Pittsburgh, who just can't really afford to keep giving the ball back to Josh Allen so cheaply.

Not having TJ Watt has really hurt this Steelers defence, as Allen was hardly under any pressure at all on his opening drive - that would NOT be the case if Watt was playing.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo: "What an opening drive by this Bills offence. There was miscommunication in the Steelers' secondary and Josh Allen took advantage."

Touchdown - Bills!published at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 0-7 Buffalo Bills

Tight end Dawson Knox catches the nine-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to put the Bills in front.

That's a sixth career post-season TD for Knox and caps a powerful 10-play, 80-yard opening drive for Buffalo.

Two tight ends made the big grabs on that drive, with Allen completing all five of his throws for 56 yards as the Bills make the best possible opening statement.

James Cook with a nice run and that's four plays already that have gone for 10-plus yards - Pittsburgh just not being able to stop these chunk plays.

Buffalo have marched down to the Pittsburgh 10-yard line.

Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid makes a smart high grab for a 20-yard gain after a nice throw from Josh Allen.

They like the 24-year-old out of Utah a lot in Buffalo - he's a big game but extremely athletic, as he showed with that catch.

Not a great start for the Steelers, who are looking for the team's first play-off win since 2016, having lost their last four outings in the post-season.

It'll be tough though at Highmark Stadium - where the Bills are 13-2 in home playoff games since 1970.

Mason Rudolph can't find his man on a third down play so the Steelers have to punt it away. Josh Allen will get the ball around his own 20 after a short-ish kick.

Still a bit of wind around Buffalo though so kicks, punts and even long throws will suffer a bit.

Prime example of how you use a classic one-two punch with running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.

The big-bodied Harris has a couple of power runs, before Warren comes in and catches a short screen pass, makes a cut and uses his speed make it a nice gain to midfield.

Here we go then, Buffalo kick-off and Pittsburgh get the ball first with QB Mason Rudolph under centre.

If anyone should enjoy this cold and snow it's a guy named Rudolph...

"He’s very difficult to bring down, a very big human being. You’ve got to keep him in the pocket so you need to ‘team’ tackle and get in his face. But he can make every single pass in the game" - Ndamukong Suh, 2021 Super Bowl winner, on Sky Sports

Josh Allen is a regular in the MVP conversation, but in the play-offs he takes it to another level, becoming a dual-threat monster.

The Bills let him off the lead a lot more in the post-season, with more designed runs for their bull of a triggerman, while he also lowers the shoulder a lot more and puts his body on the line.

And just to illustrate just how good Allen is in the post-season, he's the only quarterback ever to average over 250 passing yards and over 50 rushing yards in the play-offs.

    He's a problem.

The Bills of course are used to frigid weather and their Conference Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals last year was in the snow.

The Bills, the pre-season Super Bowl favourites in the 2022 season, went into the game with a 13-1 record at home in the play-offs - and lost.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Buffalo Bills (21:30 GMT)

Pittsburgh have been a bit of an enigma all season, winning games against the odds, being truly awful on offence and burning through quarterbacks, yet here they are in the play-offs again.

Coach Mike Tomlin fired his offensive coordinator during the season - a rare move in the Pittsburgh camp, but when Mason Rudolph got his chance at QB he shone over the closing three games.

Scoring 30 points in successive games for the first time in three years, they finally had some life in the passing game to help Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren in the run game.

Then, they lost defensive superstar TJ Watt in the final game, and with him you presume their chances of winning tonight vanished. This is Pittsburgh we're talking about, who have been defying the odds all season, so you can never write them off.

The Buffalo Bills started the season among the Super Bowl favourites but kept giving away games by making mistakes on both sides of the ball.

At 6-6 they were in trouble, but they reeled off five straight wins, including in the final game against Miami to pinch the AFC East and at least two home games if they win tonight.

The Bills have been in play-off mode for a while now so they're battled tested just when you need it.

So five win on the spin saw them book a fourth straight divisional title and fifth straight play-off appearance. They'll be hoping to go the distance this time.

Social media is full of pictures and videos of fans wading through the snow to get to their spot or using cardboard to create their own seats on top the snow.

This is going to be a fun game.... to watch from the comfort of your living room!

Despite the conditions, the pitch at Highmark looks in great condition,

There's some light snow forecast and temperatures of -7C with a wind chill of -14C.

That's nothing, say the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, who had to play in -20C on Saturday in temperatures colder than the North Pole.
